    Nice job! We can use up to 5 bits (31) when we use "set" so adding the extra bit to y will double our loops. Thanks for posting.

    Arnold, nice work, but one comment . . . your switch isnt toggling. I should have indicated clearer . . . make a toggle switch that is debounced. Makes the debounce a little tricker.

    Very nice. Interesting way you got the html in as a file and used replace to update variable values. I have used .py files with an html variable that I import. I add variable values to the html by making the html as an "f" string. Good to see other ways to accomplish the same thing. Thanks for the video.

      I also did a video using an f string following Random Nerds tutorial. I got into trouble using functions in JavaScript with that method.

      @@arnoldschmucker9977 Yes the { mess you up. You have to double the {{ and it will treat it as a single. Took a little searching to find that.

    I love it. I wanted to use sliders to control brightness so I had to learn a little JavaScript to add a script to the html to return the slider position. Sunfounder has a phone app that work with the Pico that lets you customize its user interface with buttons, sliders, gauges and digital numeric displays and returns a .json object we can work with. I wonder if Paul will cover that? Thanks for the video.

      Actually, it is a push button connected to a capacitor and Schmitt Trigger.

      @@keithlohmeyer- the debouncing is almost required with interrupts. There are ways of achieving this using software, but I was lazy.

    So it seems it is not the servo but the analog in on the Pico that is causing the problem. I read somewhere that the analog pins were subject to noise due to internal paths inside the chip. Thanks for the experimentation.

      The older R3 Arduinos seem to be worse than either the Pico or newer R4 Arduinos with respect to Servo jitter. Do you know a clean way to mitigate this?

      @@arnoldschmucker9977 I don't recall having that problem with the R3. I think I remember the analogRead being rock steady at the 10 bit (0 - 1023) resolution of the R3. That said I am getting a little forgetful the older I get.

      @@keithlohmeyer- I agree, the analog read statement is rock solid. There does seem to be a problem in the PWM signal on the Servo side. I am working with too little data to make a definite conclusion. Too bad I don’t have time or money to make a formal study.

    Nice demo. I have used serial, software serial, and serial through rs485 for longer distances comms between controllers. I have only used i2c for sensors and displays. Thanks for the video.

      The problem that I am having though is that I have not found a library to use the Pico as a slave unit, only a master in microPython.

      @@arnoldschmucker9977 Yeah it looks like there is a library for the C sdk so the chip can do it but no modules for Micropython available yet.

    Creating a library is a little different in C++ than it is in Python. I wrote a little LED flasher library just to show I could do it but in all the hundreds of programs I have written for Arduino I have never found the need to create a library for a project. Thanks for the video.
