I’m sure it’s why The Legion of Superheroes doesn’t have a Batman-esque hero on their team. He just doesn’t work in a technologically advanced society. I don’t know how Timm and company managed to make Batman Beyond work as well as they did, for as long as they did, but I wish other writers were either up to the challenge or just didn’t bother making the book reflect our time so much, and instead chose to make the time period more ambiguous, a’la Batman the animated series.

didn't scott snyder's batman run do a lot of batman tech tho and it works there.
