Tbh I love her and eddy, but why make them dlc and not main roster. I don’t like how we’re getting characters that were in tekken 7 as dlc. Especially eddy who’s been in every tekken game as a main character.

Facts but it's one of the ways they keep the game going and alive. Just look at what dlc did for t7. If it wasn't for dlc and timely updates t7 would've died much sooner than it did it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. They're trying to do the same for t8. They want the game to last for as long as possible while still keeping it enjoyable fun and entertaining. Also do take this into account. The game has only been out for five months. Were still not out of the vanilla stage of tekken yet. Once tekken 8 gets its new name like all the other tekkens before it then and only then can you start complaining tbh. Like 6 was originally just t6 then it became BR samething goes for t7. Which then became t7 fated retribution. You get what I mean. Sorry for droning on/ranting a little bit. Eddy was a hidden character in both 4 & 5. If there'd been such a thing as DLC back then, he'd have been that for sure. Lydia is a bit odd though, you'd exoect a newcomer released as late as she was would be main roster for the next iteration, like Luke in SF6.
I might as well get tekken 7 back since all the dlc so far are already on there. Only people we’re missing are jun and victor. Other than them I don’t care for tekken 8 roaster
Looking at this comment made me realize tekken 8 only had 3 new characters(azucena,victor and Reina) every one else is just a returning character not only that tekken 7 had more original new characters on launch than tekken 8

We still have 2 unannounced dlc characters, so most likely at least one of them will be new, if not both!....I think one will be new and the other will be a returning character from the old Tekkens (which also counts as new for the younger generation)
I felt like she showed alot of character in the tekken 7 intros and more of her poland style shotokan karate than her new intro in tekken 8. Though I'm still happy she back in tekken 8 for us to play as her again ❤

One supposed leak of the DLC included Roger and Armor King as part of the roster, as well as a mugshot of a different render of Eddy, and excluded Lidia, and that was proven false. As great that it would be to see Marduk in this game, it may not happen, yet.
I get that you're defending Lidia's look but goddamn she looks nothing like Lidia. I can tell you're some big time tekken fan if you dont care female characters look exactly the same. But that was the very reason why Lidia (in tekken 7) was amazing for me cuz she FINALLY looked different from ther female characters. And she didnt act all 'uwu' this 'uwu' that. She acted PROFESSIONALLY
