That’s been me currently after hearing about the beta version of Danganronpa, previously called Distrust. It was supposed to be a lot more gruesome compared to what Danganronpa is now. Definitely an interesting look
One playable beta I'd love to find Kirby is Kirby and the Crystal Shards. There's a few beta screenshots with several direct Neon Genesis Evangelion references that had to be removed in the final version. I'd love to see how many there were that weren't shown off.
@@jman3267 Okay, I *think* I see the screenshots you mean on TCRF's prerelease page for Kirby 64. Those diamonds being mini Ramiels seems like a stretch to me without seeing them in motion (and the page doesn't call special attention to them, so I imagine they're still around in the game in some form), and do you mean the "Swiss Army Kirby" screenshot when you mention the Spear of Longinus? Because based on the context and what little I know of the game, I think that's probably just a tuning fork or some sort of regular ol' fork. I admit I haven't played Kirby 64 (or most any Kirby game for that matter; I'm not a Kirby man), and I wouldn't be surprised if the guys at HAL Laboratories enjoy NGE based on what I hear about the games, but the things you mentioned seem like stretches to my NGE fan side.
@@jman3267 Hmm. Looking more closely (and pulling up a reference of the Spear rather than relying on my shoddy memory), I don't see the double helix structure of the Spear in the screenshot, but the shape of the bit sticking out of Kirby (more specifically, the gap) does kinda hint at it. It still seems like an odd place to stick an NGE in-joke to me considering the apparent theme of the power, but then again TCRF says it was replaced with a cactus in the final version; which sounds even weirder. I'm not convinced, though I'm not denying the possibility outright either. Would be nice if we had a closer look at the model so we could more clearly tell the shape.

And I won't lie, I really liked some things Game Freak has decided to cut from it, like the protagonist outline shown on the bottom screen during battles, or the early beginning of the storyline..... Even the early Elite Four battle theme is much better than the final game's despite being a placeholder.

It’s probably to make sure that the developers clean up code and such and don’t leave stuff behind, also they probably just have too much time on their hands
I had a look into one of the games from my own childhood, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, a while back (using a Visual Studio program someone made online for looking at the files) and found some cut stuff on there. This included alternate death animations (based on which weapon is held (bow, staff, etc (moves the hand position)), a different hair model for the sorceress (long hair instead of a ponytail) and a voice clip that as far as I'm aware went unused (an attack grunt that sounds like a different voice actress, possibly a placeholder (titled "alth_rx1c" (in a .vag file, like all the rest))). Another interesting tidbit about Dark Alliance is how there was a PC port planned for the game but due to the company who made the original going bankrupt part of the way through (due to the Snowblind legal issues (they developed an engine with Dark Alliance and Interplay thought they could keep using it but Snowblind sued them after they released a sequel and a Fallout game using the engine)), the company handling the port, CD Projekt Red, ended up using what they had and made the first Witcher game out of it (since they were told they wouldn't be paid if they finished the PC port and didn't want to waste the work they had done).
Tokyo Game Show was a dud for Sega, as there wasn't one, it was Tokyo Toy Show theh went to.... and Sega didn't lose the tech demo for it, it was poorly managed by the Tokyo Toy Show

I was having a rough day, YT didn't show this in my sub box. But when I saw it
The thumbnail and title were enough to make me smile, thank you for coming in clutch PatMac! You rock!
You Should do a video on scrapped cartoon episode ideas!
Luigi and Motos were definitely the highlights of the SM64 leak.
Excellent video, as always!
Why are some charecter names wrong in the super sponge prototype?
Did the developers at climax know anything about Spongebob?
To be fair those were kind of easy mistakes to make for people that aren’t fans.
@@masterofpasta95
I would imagine there were some game developers who just so happened to be dedicated spongebob fans out there.
If more of theme git the lisence and IP, this project could have been given the proper love and polish it deserved.
@@khistraley1150 maybe they just testing the game.
Even if it was just for a few seconds, I loved that Shooting Star at the beginning lol
In an early build of this video were there sections where you talked about megaman or Kirby?
We actually do have a build of Super Mario world. Now it's pretty close to the final. It's 1 month before the final It has a few changes
Something I'd be interested to see is more footage of the 3 lost Kirby GCN games. They're all pretty intriguing.

lol
Disney: All right, time to send the big N the Cease and Desist letter through a scroll
19:59 I’m so used to seeing the face swap version.
To be honest, I think that Supersponge is the most criminally underrated game in the Entirety of Spongebob’s Game History. I mean, this is literally the only game we have literal prototypes of as well as arguably one of the catchiest soundtracks to grace a Spongebob Game yet everyone passes it off for BFBB or The Movie Game. Hope it gets some recognition in the years to come as I honestly think it’s a good licensed game...Once you get past the Ear-Grating Sound Effects but I digress.
25:43 WHAT?
WHY???? THIS MAKES NO SENSE 😭😭
Someone take the artists to horny jail they CLEARLY need to be taken away
That test SNES cart is haunting me, do not like peach moving like that
WHY DIDNT YOU COVER ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS FOR DS THAT A CLASSIC
11:05 *SPOOKY*
12:50 And what's up with that "bloody" koopa? It looks *SPOOKY* too.
14:27 Error: It's actually the 1989 build, not the 1985 build. SMW wasn't even in development back in 1985.
You are SO underrated!!! I absolutely love your content, I’ve been stressed lately and it’s nice to get away while watching your videos
supersponge’s source code with odd depictions caught me off guard lol
4:45 Hey my friend scanned that! Weird how the most recent TTS scan is a good quality version of the sign.
25:43
Stuff like that wouldn't be considered new if you watch Spongebob YTP's.
I'd love to play SpongeBob with that British uncaring voice it's amazing
I’m always in excitement when you upload
Same
He uploads monthly
I always look forward to your videos
How about there be a Bootleg SpongeBob Merchandise video and something related to Kirby Right Back at Ya! on this channel.
Thank you for another awesome video!! Keep up the amazing work!
As soon as he mentioned Action 52 I thought of AVGN
"What a shit load of fuck"
"WHAT WERE THEY THINKKKKKK"
"ASSSSSSSSSSSSS"
"64 bits, 32 bits, 16 bits, 8 bits, 4 bits, 2 BITS, 1 BIT, HALF BIT, QUARTER BIT, THE WRIST GAMEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
25:41 I was hoping he wouldn’t mention that
"When youu wish upon a staaarrrr" .*Peach Spinning*
25:43
Everybody gangsta till even the game developers are making Rule 34 of Spongebob
6:26 Oh, that where that image for all those ALL COPIES OF MARIO 64 ARE PERSONALIZED creepy pastas come from. Still, that looks horrible for Charles.
Amazing video! Well done PatMac!!!
What if the Sonic 1 Demo DID end up suffering the same fate as the Sonic 2 Demo, getting stolen?
If I recall correctly we know that the spaceworld demo of mario 64 exists and some people have it. We know this because the nintendo 2020 gigaleak had files purposefully taken out
Also the mario world beta was supposed to be leakes but iirc people found out tbe dude who had it and harassed him so he doesn't wanna share it anymore iirc
Hi PatMac, I would love for you to do a video on the movie: "Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Save Princess Peach" ❤️ it's super absurd!
