I just ordered this tank, first thing i plan on doing is cutting out that filter wall and prob throw in a sponge filter, but really want to throw on a Tidal HOB filter.
Yeah! I did that and gained a good amount of space. I also cut the vinyl from the sides. And bought a good lamp, because the one that comes with the kit is pretty much useless, even for moss. Basically, it was an error to buy this kit. As with most kits, only the urn and lid are worthwhile, everything else has to be replaced or hotrod-ed.
@Adam L you can try eBay or Google the internet for somewhere that sells aquatic plants but you should also be able to ask your local pet shop to order some in for you most local shops will order in for you no problem or try KJE Aquatics he has a RUclips channel and website
you should get like 1000 algae eaters then just put them in the tank and have a time-lapse of them eating it all
That would cost around $4,000. If this channels ever takes off I’ll for sure do it

Glad to hear! I would recommend dwarf sag as a good no co2 plant. Also dwarf hairgrass is supposed to be good but I’ve never tried it.

Did you figure out how the fish got in there?
My guess is when they were fry they slipped through the back filter and couldn’t get back out.
Cut back on light and feeding and put some fast growing plants in like water wisteria and maybe floating plants that should help with the algae
Where do I buy floating plants? Local shops and petsmarts don't have them where I live
