its okay haha, my account was made January 2018 and my first month with more than 2 plays is September 2020
and then theres me who didnt know about skins until a month after playing
Saw people play it online before I tried it. Saw the circles in different colours and fonts so assumed you can alter them. Also with the background of Minecraft texture packs it just made sense. However, I didn't know any skins and as the default one was so convoluted I just looked up "osu simple skin" and found the one shown in the video.

You improved so fast with a pen, it’s insane. I started out using tablet and while sure I fced 1,2,3 star and passed a 4 star on my first 3 days of playing. I didn’t pass a 7 star until recently and only fced a 6 star this month. Ur crazy.

@@tyler3753 Well, I can't really say I played regularly over the past 6 years. Aiming was always a huge struggle since I broke my right arm as a kid and it messed up my hand to eye coordination, so because of that I never really farmed DT or anything like that. But I've also been playing the same difficulty of maps for like 3 years lmao. I never really found what my best skillsets in osu were until 2019 which was HDHR and streams, but I'm capitalizing on that now so ye.

Don't feel bad... Please understand that people improve at different rates. Your pop off session is just yet to come.
Also got to take into account time and play count. This dude grinded pretty hard consistently throughout the year, so he is going to see results. You can play for a year, but playing less than a thousand times a month, your improvement rate will be slower. Just keep playing and sometimes push yourself beyond what is comfortable. Just don’t overdo it, over exertion is when bad habits form.
i guess thats just genes ive been playing since april 2020 and i have 4k but in between i stoped for like 3 months and if only i didnt only play on weekends
it takes time, someday you will pop off, it took me 5k plays in a month to get that one session where i did all my top plays

you don't have to feel bad of yourself, he played an average of 2k-3k times every month, having a peak of 5k per month.
For everyone here comparing your time of improvement to his, just remember that everyone’s progress is gonna vary and that’s ok. I’ve played for 8 months and still am at 380k. Kudos to anyones improvement
also, time invested and consistency is more important than for how long you've been playing, I don't think a lot of people could have the time to do 3000 plays a month for a year lol

It all comes to if u actually want to improve or not, if u always play same difficulty, if u are afraid of trying much higher difficulties, if u don't have the will or time to train on stuff u are bad at, like 300bpm dt songs to improve speed or alt maps or fingercontrol maps and this type of stuff. Getting out of the comfort zone might be hard but is the best way to improve.
@@Leukocyte34 If you are at 150 bpm in streams and you suddenly start to play 250 bpm streams you won't improve even if you do 100 tries everyday. The best way to improve is to play things out of your comfort zone but not too hard so that you can't even read or tap them.
@@jedel1043 I didn't say 300bpm stream maps, I said 300bpm maps, cause they force u to alternate (sometimes) and the pace is very fast which helps a lot on improving speed. U also don't need to play an AR 10+ on DT u can play the 9.7 and lower ones
I think the reason everyones so depressed is because now you cant even feel good at something with out someone whos 200x better showing up in your recommended or feed.

Honest opinion, he should start practicing some streams other than jumps… Out of all these maps, not a single stream map, can this person even play streams? Don’t get me wrong, the improvement is great, but I’m sure there are maps a lot more fun to play other than just hitting jumps imho.

It took me 3.5 months and like 3k+ play count to pass the bloody penultimate diff of Sotarks Harumachi Swing (Expert). TBF I have done 3.2k plays in the last 4 weeks but still impressive to pass a 5 star in a month

been playing since jan 18 2021 and got restricted on 29may (i cant remember exactly when i got restricted tho im tired) i can pass airman with like 90% acc and and i can fc harumachi clover fierys extreme and hidamari no uta nomod fc (i cant think of any more scores)
my highest pp play is 179pp that i got on late march (an ss choke with 1miss on the very last note) map is seth everman blinding lights hardrock
btw i can fc low 5 stars and pass mid 6 stars comfortably with B ranks and A ranks

Hello, i don't know if you'll see this comment, but if you will, this video was really refreshing for me, i finally managed, in 8 months and 200 hours of gameplay (aka intense dt farming) to become a 5 digit, it is a big accomplishment for me and it meant a lot to me, so this video really brang back the memories of simply enjoying the game, not caring about, combo, pp, acc, and just playing the game with friends in multi lobbies... I miss those days, i'm crying over a circle clicking game...

I've been playing for like 7 mounths and i'm at 135k rank with 7* pass and almost pass 8*.
I'm using a membrane keyboard and gaomon s620
I started playing mania games since 2016 on step mania, that is why i have used upscroll all my life. I m not bad tho, I play Quaver 4 months after its release, however i got to play it first than osu. That is why i have a bad level on osu but not on other games. Then I descovered FNF, which I got good at too, its the easiest mania game i have ever played tbh.
i hope i can be like this, i'm so happy after starting playing 3 stars in just 2 weeks playing (i played before but just 1 star)

Amazing. There really isn't anything I enjoy more than improvement. I plan to make a HUGE video for it. Like a RUclips movie basically. I plan for it to take at least 4 years to complete, but it will definitley take longer than that. It's about improving my entire life and about improvement in general, so yeah it's going to be long. Man sticked with single tapping for a whole year, and then there's me. Can't figure out what style of tapping, tablet style and what fingers to use.
Im currently using hybrid tapping, hover and ring/index
If anything, I'm a bit afraid to change my tapping style. I'll happily change literally ANYTHING if I see that it could benefit me or is much more suited for my style. But when it comes to tapping, I'm worried that changing it could set off a chain off events for better or worse. Like what if I wont be able to play my favourite sotarks jump farm maps for that sweet juicy pp, and instead will have to switch to those wretched '''''stream''''' maps uhhg.. just the thought makes me sick....
jk I just don't want to learn alternation right now because single tapping still has a lot of potential. High ranked single tappers can do upwards of 260bpm whilst I can barely do 240bpm on a good day. So yeah, single tapping will continue until it prevents me from improving. Then I'll attempt to master alternation.

That's a good thing! Whilst it might not show, I also changed my grip, area position, 'tablet cover' aka mousepad and monitor. Everytime it was a pain and I hated it but now don't regret it one bit.

Ive been playing this game since 2014 and boy I tell you, there's no real reason to care about pp. Just play as long as its fun, enjoy the game and take it easy on yourself. Not everyone improves at the same rate
I'm glad I got to a point where I can appreciate these types of videos. I used to spend hours watching improvement videos and comparing myself to them to see where I hold up. Shit like that only demotivated me and made me salty at my own improvement speed. Over time I learned to just enjoy the game (going offline helped), and hopefully in time some of the people in this comment section can do the same cause there's no utility in getting mad at yourself for not improving quickly enough. Keep up the good work, you're a really strong player ^_^
@John Robert helps people not get obsessed with pp and focus on self improvement or some people want cool profiles with big leaps of improvement without play count increase

Ima drop smth, tho I am kinda late to the party. I think all the "newer" players should consider giving this a read.
I noticed that Hysz playstyle is extremely one-sided. He basically only focused on training aim and long jumps. You can rarely find any bursts in his plays and as far as I have seen it, not a single stream (hitting a lot of single notes very fast). I am not saying that this is bad you can totally play like that if you want to.
But let me put it that way, its much easier to develop just one core skill of this game, than trying to focus on having a really diverse skillset. I think this usually takes much much longer, so don't feel bad if you don't have your first 100pp play after 2 months.
And btw, harumachi clover, his first 100pp play, is considered a "Farm Map". The pp system gives more points for maps with long jumps than ones that have streams or maps that are hard to read but have medium to small jumps.

And then we have players like mrekk who are literally good at everything , especially speed in his case , his only weakness is eZ since he can't read very low AR maps he's said but eZ isn't even relevant for pp farming. But yeah , usually some players tend to be more or less one sided. I'm decent at jumps as well but I suck dog shit at burst streaming and stuff, I do try to play stream maps but getting good at streaming is really hard in the beginning if you're not vaxei or a very experienced player and thus jumpy maps are usually more fun since it's something you're at least somewhat good at.

Btw I alternate, found it easier cuz I play muse dash before osu! and found out I can do alternate with a good acc.

Maybe have a good mindset when playing. Progress isnt instant, but you will notice when you do start to improve
8 months and 50k rank? That's a little too fast. You must've been playing It daily or this is just a prerecorded clips piled together.
Or I was just better than average? Is skill just not a thing anymore...
