I’ve had this modification on my truck for a while now. I hotshot with it. Here recently Ive noticed when I stop for my 10hr and I put the truck in high idle mode it will sit for a min at 1200 RPM and then it will slowly start to increase RPM. I went in to use the restroom and came out and the truck had idled up to almost 2000rpm. Anyone else having that issue?
I've been wondering how to use those switches lol. Never really looked into much until I stumbled upon this video. Awesome info man. Is there a way other than test light to know which wire is for which switch?
I Goigled for the wire color codes and I found a pdf that might prove helpful. I tried it and it seems legit. Anyway, here is a link: madocumentupload.marketingassociates.com/api/Document/GetFile?v1=4309269&v2=053118110742&v3=60&v4=109f5df19995d024e6fc7636fc94b551cbc3bd82cd428ea6b06740cc&v5=False
It has been a while since I made this video so the wire colors are no longer in my memory. That said, the method I showed in this video does indeed need to have the parking brake applied to work.
Good info to know! I was actually looking at aftermarket high idle switch kits and I don’t need one. Money saved and I keep my interior looking clean.
Very nice! Now to find some upfitter switches on ebay... 🤣
Learn something new every day thank you
Awesome thank you!
Rad thanks

Do you need to depress the park brake using the purple with green stripe wire?

I looked at other videos and they say you need the parking brake engaged in order for it to work is that true
Yes it is. I failed to mention that.
