These are legitimately the best love action Disney dolls we've had in years. Mattel absolutely knocked it out of the park. Or should I say . . . Blew it out of the water?
But seriously, Mattel really came in strong with this. I'm so glad they got the Disney contract back, and I'm so glad they came in so strong with their first big life action project so ce they got it. I really hope this means we'll be seeing more great things from them in the future.
Tamika is THEE one for me. If i could just have Tamika and Ariel, that would be awesome.

These girls have some of the best mermaid tails from Mattel in years. Maybe a decade.
I wonder if they will hang around long enough to be in clearance but the demand is high.
They all have a unique face mold sculpted by likeness of the actresses, which is amazing considering I cannot think of a movie that got dolls with so many unique face sculpts.

I have no idea what makes saran hair better, but you sound so knowledgeable that I’m now going to be looking for it. Also, thanks for the heads up on the singing one, because she would definitely plunge that thing straight into water as soon as the box was open. Seven sisters, here I come!

These sisters are great. Especially Tameka (Attina? Alana?). Just one thing: I really don't like the lilac and pink hair, even if the pastel tones make them someway more natural. It would be nice if they just would have natural hair colours (blond, black, ginger, brunette), maybe with colours in it. But it's just a detail.
Anyway, what I love about these version of the little mermaid's sisters, is that they have natural hairstyles: the hair just down or in a ponytail or in a braid. Ariel's cartoon sisters have such strange hairstyles (Aquata, Adella, I'm talking to you, girls) which just wouldn't be possible under the sea, where hair is always moving ...

I did an arm swap with Barbie extra #10 . It was not super hard - i did not do the one on the stove just hot water and a cup. Make sure you do your arm workout cuz that part of tugging carefully can get tiring!!

i found my set at amazon on late April, 99.00 dls was the price hade to pre order
I genuinely want to see an arm swap on each of the dolls one of these days I feel like it will help encourage me to try it because it is my dream to have articulated mermaid plus the fact that these ones are each individual and unique with different hairstyles fins faces skin colors etc just makes me so happy especially good quality my only issue is the lack of articulation in the arms definitely😂
Mainly because I'm also not a fan of fabric mermaid tails on dolls I feel like if you're going to make a mermaid doll make it a full-on mermaid or don't even try😂

i was compelled to look up the anatomy of a mermaid and stumbled on some old world illustrations.
Apparently the "hip fins" are called the pelvic fins.
i never would have thought to call it that. And i don't understand the logic of giving some mermaids pelvic fins and not others. Especially since they are supposed to be sisters.
