Luke Bryan's bar makes very revealing statement in Riley Strain's case.
The University of Missouri student had been cut off by the bartender at Luke Bryan’s bar, 32 Bridge Food + Drink, after he was overserved, Strain’s stepfather Chris Whiteid said. A friend of Strain’s attempted to leave the bar with him as security led Strain out of the bar around 9:30 p.m., but the security team would not let him out at that point, according to Strain’s stepfather.

As a former bartender.. the fresh air alone would have helped him greatly. But watching him progress in videos he got worse. So I believe he was spiked
He could have appeared to get worse because of that fall if he hit his head on the contrete as it appeared he did.
Did his mates do it to him for a laugh. These frat kids are A holes.
He looks drugged up to me. Alcohol and drugs, did he have any food to eat. He would feel thirsty if drugged, the mouth goes dry.
I think the same thing. Even if he was drunk when he got to the bar, they were there for a few hours. Most of that time he apparently wasn't drinking alcohol. Then he goes for a several hour stumble around the city. He would have sobered up considerably by the time he reached wherever he was lasted tracked to.
I agree.
I used to work overnights at a 24 hr business. I saw people under the influence of various substances all the time. His behavior was not just too much alcohol. There was something else.
He slammed his head on a cement pillar.
@Irish_Girl_Colleen yes he did but he wasn't walking right before then which is probably why he slammed his head.
@@Irish_Girl_Colleenthat happened AFTER he was stumbling around and was clearly under the influence of more than alcohol - which is why he fell in the first place. Watch the videos.
@@margarethutchens5463exactly. Ppl are so naive.
Yep I agree. Then seeing the police video out now, and he's walking and talking just fine? Alcohol doesn't wear off in 20 mins to that extreme.
My partner is a bartender at a restaurant downtown. People get drugged all. The. Time. He’s had morning customers with hospital bracelets on from getting drugged the night before. This has been known by folks who work downtown for always. We’re both really glad it’s finally getting coverage. I’m not saying that anyone is doing anything to keep it quiet, but I will say that tourism is our biggest industry.
Do not come here thinking it’s a fun little country town. Shoutout to Garth Brooks who is making sure his new bar will be safe space certified, with coasters that test for roofs, and everything.
garth? you mean luke??
@@cindymaggio6537No they’re talking about the country singer Garth Brooks who is getting ready to open his new bar in Nashville.
Oh wow! I always liked Garth. I knew he was a good guy.
I think that is awesome and I have heard about Garths new bar.
@@cindymaggio6537No. they’re talking about Garth and his new bar opening up called “Friends in low places” on Broadway.
My boyfriend was drugged at the same bar!! And we were even paying attention, but they're SO quick! He is an ER nurse in Nashville, and he said people arrive REGULARLY drugged after being down on Broadway. He himself was drugged last Valentine’s Day when we went out to enjoy some nightlife (we live 45 minutes away in Clarksville).
I'm glad your boyfriend is o.k
Omg. Yep it happens in NOLA also. A scam, typically a male perp puts a woman in to drug the Vic, then they wait and roll the Vic. he was running from someone, if you are drunk you run to or away from someone, you aren’t just running thru Nashville. Who was behind the food truck in the video?
WOWWEE!!!
That's terrifying
Why do they drug people? What is the purpose?
With friends like these who needs enemies.
That’s true hell they are the enemy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Yup

I thought the same from video. Inebriated does not usually link to lost confused etc. Ppl, esp bartenders, need to know the signs of drugging. Sad so so many people saw this man and nobody then took the initiative to help him
Agreed.
I believe that to here where I live that only happens when they are gonna sex traffic someone I’m praying for Rylie with all my heart it also sounds like he was targeted
I agree. He was walking very odd. He is 22 and I’m sure that wasn’t the first time he drank. He fell.
Not a good name for the bar with them not letting his friend go out with him just leave him on his own
Why did the friends lie? They have something to hide.
Or they could have been really drunk and didn't remember the chain of events with any reasonable accuracy.
That's why you always make sure one person stays sober, so if something goes crazy every one in the group has help.
They prob weren't real friends and spiked his drink not thinking it would turn to death
@@annettefogleman3145 That's what I was thinking.. he doesn't look like a party animal or a good wingman for picking up girls so why not play a trick on him to get him out of the picture. Anyone who knows the ways of stupid manboys know that this is EXACTLY what they are likely to do.
His friends saying the bar didn't let them leave, doesn't make any sense to me. How can an establishment hold you hostage?
They can't. Because that's kidnapping.
@@stichclark3980 agreed. So I'm not too sure why the friends keep repeating that the bar wouldn't let them leave with Riley. This whole case has very bad optics, and his friends don't seem much better.
I would guess they were made to settle their tabs. They are making it dramatic “wouldn’t let us leave.”
They said it was to pay the tab.
Could he have been on something before he got there and the drink added to it, or did the bartender lie about how many drinks he actually served him?
This is so messed up. Why didn’t one of friends leave with him when he was kicked out of the bar
The friend was told if he left he would not be able to come back in. This was reported several days ago.
Thanks
I think that is the most important question. Why didn't at least one of them go with him??
@@cathrynkari661 if the guys were true friends I would think at least one of them would have given up drinking to go with their friend
Because they weren't "friends"?
If the bartender or bouncers thought that, they should’ve called LE!! I’m sticking with that..
I agree some one should have helped him from the start it’s just so sad that people seen him fall and didn’t do anything to help him every one assumes thangs aren’t always as they seem in Rylies situation no one took the time give a crap
If it had happened to a woman would they have recognized she had been poisoned? Has the ABC license required ANY training in this matter? Can they recognize roofies vs. intoxication? Do the bars have the means to test drinks for roofies? What is their level of responsibility?
This happens to ppl all the time.
Former Nashville Entertainment District Bouncer here - We dont call for overserved individuals because there are about 35 bars within a 4 block radius at the intersection of Broadways and 2/4th Aves South. The entire zone is cordoned off from automotives (since the Christmas 2020 bombing) so that people can stumble around buzzed and not worry about a Public Intox charge. Otherwise DCCC would be full of drunks and nothing else.
That doesn't include the dozens of Peddle Taverns (bicycle bars), Party Barges (Convertible school busses), and Rave Busses (decommissioned tour busses) - that load at Broadway, take tours of Music Row and Demonbreun areas while sloshing alcohol (Alcohol can be open container as long as the driver isn't drinking it) in folks direction before the deboard at Broadway.
@@annem7806 as a Former bouncer in that exact zone - yes we were trained to look for it.
I'm side-eying the "friend". Riley had been in contact with his mom not too long before they went into that bar and he was sober. I've got question for that "friend" that left Riley. Story isn't adding up.
Mom last talked to Riley at 7:30. He left the bar after 9:30. Mom said he was going from bar to bar at that time. Who knows how long he had been bar hopping or if he had eaten. Two hours can make a huge difference in the level of impairment depending on how much more they drank and if they have eaten.
The friend FAILED him
@@paulavolter1148 I'm questioning if he was drugged.
He was with " friends " , a group of frat boys.
@@danadunnivant6802his " friends" failed him .
Because of the inconsistent stories of the “brothers/friends” I have a hard time believing they even tried to help him and makes me wonder if it’s because they may have drugged him! Truth doesn’t have many stories!
Regardless of whatever really happened, the frat dude bros are LYING right off the bat. They claimed that he was kicked out through the "back" of the building but the bar is saying, apparently with video footage to confirm it, that Riley was escorted directly out the FRONT of the building. Also, at least one of the frat guys DID see him going outside but just went back into the bar. So the stories the frat guys told are falling apart. Something is very suspicious.
I just had a crazy thought..... could his "disappearance" be a horrible frat boy haze/prank? Maybe that would explain the stories not matching up. We live in a sick world.
The frat boy in footage from the bar. Followed Riley downstairs to the door. He never even went outside the bar. He was shown running back up stairs. Yet the boys said oh the one went outside with him. He was going to go pay the tab and go back with him. He never even left the bar or went outside. Plus video showing Riley being escorted nicely out the front on broadway. Boys claim he got kicked out the back side. Liars!!! I remember when Luke’s bar use to be my tattoo and piercing shop. I got my first tattoos there and one piercing :). It’s changed a lot.
So his friends are lying. Maybe the friends played the prank putting something in his drink as a joke and it backfired. As many times as I've been to Nashville I have never ever seen anyone kicked out.
Good theory. I can see that happening. Drugs and booze is part of college nightlife if we are being straight up honest with ourselves.
exactly. Riley maybe guessed that he was spiked by his mates and kicked off.
My exact thoughts
People don’t do that as a joke often. But what has been happening is men are being spiked and then robbed. Women are often the ones spiking mens drinks and then trying to get them to a hotel where they will be robbed. Happens all the time.
I have also thought one of the frat brothers may have had an issue w Riley and roofied him. If he did it without the other frats knowing. It is possible 😢
I live in Nashville. People get drugged at bars all the time. My husband was drugged about 15 years ago. We thought he was going to die. He’s a big guy who can hold his liquor but that night was scary.
I told you all...he looked like his drink had been spiked. I said it was a planned setup. That looked like more than just alcohol. Poor Riley. I hope he is found.
I agree with you . That it was s set up.I don't trust the friends.
Wow! Did you see him that night? And you saw his drink?
@@maryowens8763 I hope you’re never on a jury deciding guilt or innocence. Unless you’re there watching what happened you would be a terrible juror. Get smart!
"I told you all.." you're a youtube comment.
I agree something strong was slipped in his drink. That he wasn't used to.
I work on Broadway as a musician and I’m just saying getting a drink that’s spiked like that would most likely possible. I don’t the man’s venture to all the bars before, but if it’s only 1 drink and two waters, then video footage of him not being able to walk. He might’ve gotten roofied. I wonder why the won’t release cameras from inside the building?
YES!!! Where’s the footage from the bar?!?!?
Yes I'll believe it when I see the bar footage myself. Think the bar is trying to cover their butt from a lawsuit. Or cover up of trafficking. Saw another post on a group site saying bartenders, bouncers working together after someone is roofied. Certain people have their own streets stalk follow them, rob , steal from drugged individuals and they all split the money. They were saying Nashville especially Broadway was known for roofieing people. 😮
Omg. My daughter went to Mizzou. So scary, she with sorority sisters went 2xs year to Nashville. I am blessed she graduated and is safe. ❤ breaks for his family 😢
If this is true then the friends really need to be looked into.
exactly my thought! I've been wondering why no one, not one person from his "friend group" went with him. Something is not right with this crooked picture, IMO.
It's not the friends

@@2023D_dthey were not allowed to leave because they had to pay the bar tab 🧾 I live in Nashville there are bars where you have to go around back to exit the club. They probably pushed him out the front then made his friends go out the back
His mama said he wasn’t hammered when she spoke to him prior to them arriving at Luke’s. My friend was roofied last time she was in Nashville. I don’t think that should even be a question as to whether or not that happened. But who did it and where is he?
If he was drugged, he could have been followed and abducted. That would explain why they haven't been able to find him.
Doingtimewithlindsey has video of him having a scuffle with someone before running and hitting the sign. Why isn’t the media showing that part!? He was probably robbed and spiked like the many others who have been.

I said from the moment I saw him walking that he looked seriously drugged. This is horrible and so sad.
You don't see him walking around until after he fell and hit his head.
4:02 that doesn't make sense because earlier they said that they had OVER served him drinks! 1 drink??
Exactly 💯
Yes! That's what I thought immediately upon hearing this contradiction as well. I came into the comments to say that & also that I wonder if he was treated to other drinks by his friends or someone else present at the bar.
The overdrinking was mere speculation. No one knew for a fact that he was overserved. If the camera shows he bought just 1 drink and 2 bottled water than they need to look into whoever Riley came in contact with at the bar. Was it a girl he was flirting with? Was it one of his friends from the fraternity? etc.
the drug could have kicked in. takes 30 mins usually to kick in.
I''m assuming he was oversereved before he ever got to that bar. They probably served him one drink and then realized he was already impaired so they cut him off and allowed him to stay and drink water to help him sober up. But apparently he was displaying some sort of behavior that made them decided he would have to leave like passing out on the bar or staggering. So unfortunate that his friend didn't realize he was too impaired to make it back to the hotel alone. Odds are he was probably pretty impaired himself. I also think it's quite possible that that fall and hit on the head made him much worse or at least he appeared to be in much worse shape after that fall going head first down the street. Certainly he coul have been drugged but I really don't think that's the case. I've seen many people this impaired from nothing more than alcohol. He was a young man who didn't usually drink a lot and had been bar hopping. Not to mention what would be the reason to drug him if not to rob him and he wasn't being followed. Unfortunately I feel like he walked or fell into the water and there was no foul play. Sadly we see too many cases involving drugs and alcohol end this way. I pray I'm wrong and he turns up somewhere safe.
One drink didnt have him falling down
Where were his frat brothers 🤔🤔🤔
Too busy partying without him
Getting wasted not caring about their friend. 😤

Soooo... staff allowed him IN so presumably he wasn't wasted or didn't show signs of extreme impairment... they only serve him ONE alcoholic beverage and TWO waters... then he's "impaired" to the point where his conduct is so aggregious that he's escorted out... mmmmkay...
I have thought that he may have been drugged... roofied... from the beginning, just watching him carry himself when he was running first, barely walking and how disoriented he was. There is so much to say. First of all, talk about CYA ! I would want to know how long he was there, what time he purchased the drink and water before THEY noticed something was off At 935pm. That could be rapid onset drugged.
I want to know why they made him leave exactly? If they thought he drank too much, why not offer him water. If he's not causing a disruption, what's the problem?!
Looks like when he ran and fell and hit his head, that he had an concussion. He was putting his hand up to his head a few times after he got up. And rally had difficulty walking

If he wasn’t already drunk before he had that one drink at the bar, then how did his friends not notice that something was off? I would think if you were with a group of friends, and they knew you had only had one drink and were acting that drunk they would know that you had likely been drugged or something was wrong. Also, I keep hearing that his friends called 911 the next morning when they realized he wasn’t at the hotel. The timestamp on the released 911 call is at 1346. That means they did not call the police until 1:46 PM.
Yeah, it was 16 HOURS later when the "friends" called 911.
Yeah, he told his friend he was walking back to the hotel but he wasn't there when the group got back and not responding to calls or texts. You would think they would have been concerned, instead, didn't even notify LE until almost 2p the next day!
You would of thought that his friends would of went and banged on his door just to make sure he was in his room or even ask the front desk employee if their friend made it back to the hotel. They could of asked for a key to open his door to check on him. Really just a sad situation.

I thought 9:30 was a little too early to be wasted.

Would have to see a video of the situation at the bar. I.e., where were the drinks placed by the bartender; How long were the drinks sitting there; Did server deliver to table, or were they sitting near or at the bar; Did he go to the restroom leaving his drink sitting at the bar or his table? How many people were standing, sitting around their party? There's a lot of factors involved here. If the bar could release some footage, we'd be able to make an educated guess. Not knowing the surrounding situation, it's anyone's guess. Watching him stumbling outside the bar and walking into the pole would indicate to me that he was pretty wasted.
I want to see the Luke’s footage. I want to see him leave & with who. IF the frat boys had anything to do with this it will rock my town. Hazing etc has been a big problem in past years.

As far as the homeless, could they have seen him passed out and thought “oh clean shirt”.? Was he there alone? Why wouldn’t a friend leave with him?
It's obvious then that this group had already drank at other bars before they went to Luke's 32 bar. Riley's mom said he had been sending her pictures of other bars and places they had been that day/night. That they were all having fun.
Such a very sad situation. There are counselors at Mizzou to help the students. My son goes there.

Anybody in here ever hear the word "bar-hopping" ? It's when you start drinking in the middle of the afternoon, maybe play a few games of pool, then leave that bar and go to the one next door, and then the one next to that one. Downtown Nashville has a whole row of bars literally side by side for a couple of blocks. If you start drinking at 3 in the afternoon, not hard to imagine that you'll be falling down drunk by 9:30 p.m. Welcome to Frat life. Done it myself on many occasions.

My Qs: If he's drunk there and they only served him one drink, then he was drinking elsewhere before Luke's or had his drink spiked. What specific conduct got him thrown out. I've been in a lot of bars, and it takes a lot to get thrown out. Did he argue with anyone who might have followed him. Why did his friend come back up after going down the stairs to the outside. Was he so drunk his friend was only making sure he didn't fall down the steps then simply left him at street level to walk home which is not being a friend especially in a city you are not familiar with.
You would think if he was given something he’d of just ended up falling down and passing out somewhere close by. He hasn’t been found. So someone has done something to him or he is in the water. You would think they would have more video cameras around there (unless they are still trying to review). I hope they find him.
Riley was aware that he had too much to drink by getting water so.... I think it's likely someone out something in his drink. Sad stuff.

People who pop molly will requests water. If mom said he sounded normal, it is very possible that he took or was slipped drugs.
Seems he may have entered the establishment already a bit snockered, bought a drink (possibly was drugged) or took something beforehand, and got a bit out of line. Hope that bar has good insurance. They have a duty to their patrons NOT to put them out when their so inebriated that they cant permit them inside. He could have gotten hit by a car, anyone in his position could have been. They made a HUGE mistake turning him loose in that condition imo
Good show
Justin on TikTok showed the "back" door is actually a front door, a bit further down the street (closer to Cash's). It looked like an employee door or which you needed a key in order to get in. Whoever is led out isn't able to come right back in this way. His Mom spoke to him an hour prior and he wasn't wasted. If he only had one drink and water, he was drugged. He kept getting worse as the videos went on. Poor kid. I want to know why he was removed - where's the video from that? Sadly I agree, he's likely not with us any longer. Feel for his family/friends.
What do the Fraternity Brothers have to say??? I haven't heard if they were interrogated.
I thought they over served him so that makes No sense at all.😢praying for his family folks apparently it's not safe to go out and drink anymore.
They were investigating to see if he was overserved. I've seen multiple comments from bartenders and healthcare workers who are saying people's drinks get spiked all the time. Apparently this is now very common, especially in Nashville. Probably isn't safe to go out drinking unless you carry test strips designed to test for substances added to your drink. There are a number of different brands you can purchase.
Is there video of him leading up to entering the bar ? How was he's looking before. Is the one that called him in missing the one that left with him to some point.
An what behavior got him.kicked out of bar.
Why couldn’t the bar have put him in cab?
Why would his friends leave him drunk. Even if he was asked to leave, I would have never let my friend leave alone.
Security camera footage! Where is it!
That was my first thought. Someone put something in his drink. Its scary when it happens. I've had it happen to me.
Beautiful boy
...
So heartbreakingly sad.
This is why you NEED to have friends you can TRUST so you're NEVER alone on a night out IMHO.
Girls AND boys get their drinks spiked.
Men AND women.
Look out for each other.
Look out for your friends and never leave anyone alone 🙏
The bar should be held responsible for kicking him out without support
Usually when drinking in a group you buy rounds. So it’s hard to believe they only served one drink
This is a good conversation
This whole scenario chaps me!!! 🤬 Why don't you get that handsome YT attorney "the lawyer you know" to do a call-in??? He loves collabs!
I have worked on several Mickey Finn death cases in my career and countless roofie cases that occurred primarily at casinos, bars, and hotels. Bartender standard operating procedure is to refuse service to a patron who is intoxicated, offering coffee and water thereafter. They are never "kicked out." If they pass out then an ambulance is called. (This covers the establishment's deep pockets and hind quarters in the event the person dies.) They are monitored by security/bouncer until a ride arrives or their on site party responds to being paged. If the patron is obnoxious, he/she is seated out "front" supervised while the entire party is summoned and then they all have to leave. The intoxicated person is never allowed to walk off unaccompanied. That would be legally condoning public intoxication. In the case of a single patron, they are offered a police escort "home" if no one is available to pick them up.
I see legal red flags all over this bar's procedure. If Memphis/TN doesn't have statutes on this they will now, once Riley is recovered. I'm pretty sure the bar's insurance company is going to have a field day with this. Lukes 32 Bridge won't be able to operate without insurance. The surveillance imagery will prove the bar's negligence in putting a "drunk" on the street. Riley was either roofied or the bar allowed him to enter intoxicated. It all points back to bar management.
Now Maybe Tennessee is one of those backwards states that doesn't feel the need to protect the interest of its citizens and tourism guests. 🤔🙄 @thepascalshow
Beautiful, helpful, proactive comment. If this area is so dependent on tourism, it would behoove them to canvass their community inquiring about potential spiked drinks issues. Hospitals, polls, just reading these comments have been eye opening. Many are reporting spiked drinks in this area. Light is a great disinfectant and this sounds like a paradise for predators.
I saw post on another sight. Someone said people getting roofied happen so much, the police don't even come anymore. Said they just call ambulance to pick them up. No police report or anything. Seems they have turned a blind eye to a serious problem. But they love their tourists and money, so they look the other way, not caring about what happens to humanity. Not just young kids, men, ladies in their 50s. Anything can be roofied even water. Doesn't have to be alcoholic drink. Since Rileys disappearance, people have come out of the woodwork saying that happened to me as well and the police did nothing..seems they need to clean house on Broadway. What's it going to take, how many more missing people or people that died? What about the bouncer who just made the kid die just back in Feb. Died after 16 days in hospital. Open your eyes people. It's a serious problem in Nashville. What's it gonna take to turn things around. 😢
I was at a bar and was ruffied I didn’t have a clue where I was or what I was doing. I was with my husband he thought I was drunk. I had sat my drink on the stage and a guy picked it up and gave it to me. After that I don’t remember anything! Ladies keep your drinks with you at all ties! ❤️ Pascal you lose a whole section of time! I believe he was ruffied I pray to God he is safe! ❤️🙏🏻
Broadway is a evil place
With Friends like that ! Who needs enemies!!!
I was r**died in 2001. I broke my neck falling up stairs. By the grace of God and his angels, I drove myself to ER in a snowstorm. My point:
Watching Riley on the CCTV videos, he is moving exactly as I did. Fighting the “weird feelings”, uncoordinated movements, and confusion makes me believe he was drugged.
Deepest sympathy, love, and prayers to Riley’s family and friends. 💖🙏💐
To his Frat bros: never let anyone leave alone. Especially if they have been kicked out.
❤❤❤. Wtf anyone should have called him a cab point blink ❤❤❤
Bars should absolutely be held partly responsible for being in the business of profiting off of people being under the influence and then not recognizing when that person could be at risk and contributing to their harm.
I have been so so worried about this I can't believe no one stopped to help.
Having a spiked drink can explain getting intoxicated fast. I really want to know why he was thrown out of the bar. like exactly what went down. word for word. His hotel was very close to the bar. If he wasn't bad at that moment, reasonable to think he could get back to hotel OK. There was a case in Australia (Theo Hayez), went to a bar with people he met at a hotel hostel, and got tossed. Video showed him leaving bar without any signs of intox, went wrong way, never found again. Data positioning from his cell phone showed he took a wild and unexplainable route to the ocean.
