Kudos to Metallica for not only playing these small gigs in iconic places, but doing the pro-shots and having Fidelman mix them into the video to get them uploaded in good time. Imagine being almost 60 years old and still having that kind of energy and stage presence. Long live Metallica.
The key is that they are having fun themselves. They love playing and being on stage. So cool.

Possibly the best thrash song ever written because it just epitomizes everything that is amazing about being a band that just has no quit in them. Still my favorite Metallica song still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I heard this song in 1989 when I was 12 and it absolutely floored me

Honestly Metallica will always be in my ears at work and at home. Bought tickets back in 1998 for two friends of mine Kraig Conner and Jason Riebel. They didn’t know that from that day forward would change their life forever. From then to present day my friends are Metallica fans. I’d like to add to give thanks to all our brothers and sisters who have helped during these trying times. I hope to meet you at a Metallica venue so I may say thank you. I love this times a thousand!!! The small venue and small stage plus the sort of raw sound reminds me of the early days of Metallica.
Classic Metallica, first heard them in '84, saw them a few times since then. Both my sons want to see them live.
This makes me extremely happy. Good energy and the whole band playing as tight and clean as ever.
As in the old days, small stages and few people.

One thing I love about this band is that they know how to play to the audience in front of them. Regardless if it’s in a club like this or a stadium they know how to act accordingly and that makes them head and shoulders above other bands these days 🤘🏻

The way they opened whiplash and the tempo of the performance is super reminiscent of the 96 show at slims in San Francisco. So heavy!!

Papa sounds so good! There was a period a few years ago when I felt his voice was starting to fail him and his passion was lagging. Then, of course, it emerged that all was not well with James and a break was required. To hear him sounding like this is pure joy. Long may he reign.

I was just thinking the same thing. James voice is in another place and constantly evolving. Sounded awesome in this one. The Chicago set they just did is in an even smaller venue and should be fkin awesome. Waiting on Search n Destroy to come out any hour now:)

Right on, bro - I got into Metallica when I was 13, back in 1983. I also began playing drums around that time as well, and the guitar - Kill 'Em All was a big influence on both.
I already have buddy, and you're gonna love it! Especially with.James now out of a second stint in rehab. I saw them in 2018 when I was 20 and I'm 23 now. My favorite album is Hardwired.and the first album I bought was the Justice album. However, The Black Album is growing on me.

The first song my first band was covering back in 2004. Played it live at our first gig ever. We were all 14 at that point and we blew up the amp during the solo somehow. Still not sure what happened. It must have been `Tallica spirit that killed it
The fact that we're here in 2021 and Metallica still hasn't thrown in the towel I find pretty damned remarkable. A lot of bands and other music acts are here today and gone tomorrow. I grew up in the 80s and my very first compact disc moving from cassettes was And Justice For All. No more fast forwarding and rewinding to listen to your favorite songs, no more stretched and worn out cassettes, crystal clear audio no matter how many times you played it rocking out in your room driving your parents nuts with the loud music lol. Kill Em All was one of the few vinyls that I had and they became my official all time favorite band with The Black Album with no competition in sight... I remember thinking when I was a kid that Kirk looked like a mean and angry person in the early album photos but then you see a TV interview with him and he seems like one of the most calm, chill, and laid back people out there lol. I was with them live in Albany, NY just back recently in 2018 and James saying "Old outside, young inside" I live by that same philosophy. =)

I really like the slower tempo, the version of Battery they did on The Late Show sounds amazing too. People gotta remember they're getting old but still sounds amazing. Lars has really stepped up his game lately which is nice.

Its a really small venue, probably under 5k vs their typical football stadium

Lars still using the purple kit so they're still working on the next album apparently.
