    So many names on that wall 😱 That’s something we tend to forget here in the west, that we we can enjoy our freedom also due to the fact that so many Russian soldiers gave their lives in ww2 for freedom. May God bless them and Спасибо большое! Very impressive video Alina, I hope you are having a wonderful time.

    Интересно взглянуть на свою страну глазами иностранца. Вот Алину поразило количество имён на мемориале. А ведь у нас почти в каждом городе стоят подобные мемориалы, и мы не задумываемся... Мы привыкли, что столько людей погибло!

    Hi Alina, I do think Russia is one of the most underrated tourist destination. Perhaps the caveat is the airlines, I am not sure they are safe. It is nice to see in you in your happy healthy and pretty look again !Take care!

      @alexiancu883 5 лет назад +8

      Russian airlines are as safe as any other airline you would find in the west, it's mostly propaganda against the country that's created by the west. You're safe to fly there any time.

    • @torehaaland6921
      @torehaaland6921 4 года назад

      Its underrated because of a general lack of knowledge in the west, pluss all that comes with the fact that Pussia and the west have been in a confrontoninal state for a long time. And it doesn't help we get such a short tourist visa there.... 30 days, one can do almost nothing in Russia in 30 days. I plan a passage trough Russia next year heading to japan and Mongolia, it will only be an extended transit... Had Kamerat putin and his lot given me longer, i would certainly have planned on staying longer. This is the fact that limits tourism to russia , or even makes people deciding not going there at all.

    How are the Russian people in these cities like? I've heard many stories about Moscovites and St. Petersburgians (idk if that's right) and I wonder if they are different ( Kind of like Parisians and the rest of France type of situation). I'm curious about what you have to say about it!

    • @AlinaMcleod

      Thanks beauty! So far everyone has been absolutely lovely. I do hear that people in the larger cities can be different, but that's in most countries of large cities vs small towns. There is a mentality shift for sure. I haven't gotten to Moscow or St Petersburg yet on this trip but I do have family there and I don't think it will be too far out. Just a lot more wealth for a certain percentage of the population.

    Эх, родной остров Русский... 30 лет назад, я там проходил срочную службу на флоте... Бухта Рында. Ещё были классные пляжи в бухте Воевода. Ностальгия... тогда ещё не было моста, остров был закрытым объектом, множество воинских частей и был гораздо чище и природа ещё не загублена! Сейчас смотрю твоё видео и многих мест там не узнаю, печально :( Я так понимаю, вы были в катакомбах, а до Ворошиловской батареи не добрались? Там пушки, ещё огромнее... Ну и надо было посетить бухту Труда, там дикое и в тоже время красивое место было, кладбище военных кораблей. Кажется, что как-будто всё это было вчера. А во Владике вам надо было посетить музей Арсентьева, замечательное место...

    Евгений Гришковец, актёр и писатель, служил на русском острове матросом и у него есть произведение и спектакль о пребывании на острове и о службе и многое о чём ещё)как я съел собаку)называется,вам понравится)

    Whilst taking a boat tour around Vladivostok harbour I admired and photographed the large grey shapely Russian warships. Suddenly I reflected, if I had been doing this during the Cold War I would most certainly have been shot as a military spy! The hairs stood up on my neck!
