I have long been fascinated by Lake Baikal since reading about it as a child. Thank you for this, and thank you for respecting the sacred place and encouraging others to do the same.

Всю жизнь мёрзну, поэтому ни разу не обморозился. Организм сигнал подаёт раньше чем наступает обморожение. Видимо генетический отбор нескольких поколений предков. Плюс умение (опыт) правильно одеваться.

Wonderful places !! Siberia is one my favourite destination to visit ! Canada, Siberia, Antarctica and Greenland are the most attractive destinations in my opinion !! You look very nice in extreme cold and wild places !!
@@liubovnow7998 Do you live there ? Is it simple to visit this very remote places about supermarkets, houses and nightlife ? I love in particular wild nature in the very cold Siberia.
@@nettitus I lived there for a while, so have some good contacts who can advise you in more details. And, yes you absolutely have to visit Siberia, Great Altai - will steal your heart for ever. It's easier to travel there and around it now than it used to be a few years ago. There are various accommodations for any budget even really high quality resorts.
@@liubovnow7998 When I'll move to Norway/Finland I'll plan a big travel in the Russia. I love so much these remote and wilderness places where you inside in the wild nature. But I don't like to meet some bears or wolves.
@@nettitus yes, Norway has got some neat places as well as Finland, for sure there are great infrastructure in a semi-wild nature sites. BUT GREAT ALTAI - is the only surreal place with 6 different zones in it. It's cosmos, it's like being on the other planet. Come check it out!
FYI: Lake Baikal is the world's largest freshwater lake in terms of volume. It contains about 5,521 cubic miles of water (23,013 cubic kilometers), or approximately 20% of Earth's fresh surface water. This is a volume of water approximately equivalent to all five of the North American Great Lakes combined.
There is one quote of russian scientist:"Baikal is huge. Even if all people of Earth will be drowned in Lake Baikal, its level will rise by only three centimeters. "
You know, beautiful, now that you've mentioned it, I even hardly ever hear anyone these days talk about Siberia, but that would be another place I would travel to myself!!🙂❤

That is a beautiful place wide open and hardly any people. An old Maine timer once told me of his trips to Russia he said its how the USA use to be 50 years ago. Sounds great to me ; )

Awesome places, thanks for bringing us there, for us that couldn't afford to travel. I wish I could visit Siberia someday, but for now I could only afford to visit these places on google map and from blogs like yours. Beautiful choice of background music, like it!
There is another Buryat village called “ Arshan” which is like 3 hours minibus ride from Irkutsk , it used to be rehabilitations centre for tuberculosis patients during the soviet times (no longer operational) it is a wonderful place to have a piece and quiet time , endless forests , fresh air and simple but tasty buryat cooking .

А мне наоборот зимой понравилось. Замерзший Байкал это нечто. Там ветрами зачастую выдувает снег со льда. И виды становятся просто шикарными. Хотя и летом там много прекрасного.

Aw that makes me happy to hear! The blinis are very tasty, but they're actually just fatter version of crepes, but just folded up in a triangle in this case. Sometimes they do have stuffed ones with cheese or meat.
Alina, this is one of your most well shot video till date. While the beauty of the place is remarkable but to bring it out using a drone camera, great soundtrack & your own emotions was splendid. More power to you!!

I know of Lake Baikal and other cool places I would love to see in Russia. Some people seem to think that Russia only revolves around Moscow, red square, St Basil’s Cathedral or St Petersburg and the Hermitage.

If you can find turmeric and have it with you would be great for flu and other virus attack to your body. It works wonders, very effectively knocks the virus or bacteria out and puts you back on track quickly. Twice a day , halve spoon each time, mix it with glass of water. Take care and get well soon.
Fabulous ! Baikal lake 396 miles long, 49 miles wide (Edinburgh to London 409 miles). Incredibly it holds 20% of the Worlds fresh water .My in-laws live less than an hours drive from it ! Your video's are superb, well done.

Wonderful video. Siberia is a place I'd love to explore. Sea kayak circumnavigation of Baikal would be amazing. 2 friends of mine were the first people to ever do it, back in 2003. Been watching several of your videos today. Cheers from Thunder Bay Ontario (Lake Superior).
Olkhon is the most famous place on Baikal, so hardly underrated, but definitely an amazing, unforgettable place. I was there about 4 years ago with my two youngest kids, my niece and my father in law. Watching your video brings back amazing memories. For instance the sunrises. So thanks for reminding me of one of our most memorable trips. We started in Ulan Ude and spent a few days there and a few on the East bank of Baikal. Then we took a small speedboat to Olkhon, about 2.5 hours. You should also go to Kamchatka, Altai and Kavkaz.
Hi, Avarua59. Shamanism and Buddhism are sometimes unified or mixed their world to interpret the principle historically. My country actually divided them into two legally in the middle of 19 century. Even though there are various theories on a radical principle, those ribbons are one of important Buddhism ritual items that express both each part of Buddha’s body and Buddhism Cosmos with 5 colors. In this case, as for my opinion, Lake Baikal area has many indigenous people of rare Buddhists in Russia. So, they use vivid colors one as a reason for a strong windy climate, Tibetan in Himalaya use flags, and other Buddhism countries use 5 colors screen to signify the philosophy as well. This explanation may not always accurate. FYI "All is vanity."

Да, вы прав. быть первооткрывателем было бы очень сложно в те дни!
Наши предки дошли до океана практически за сто лет. Так что это было весьма быстро

Wonderful video. Siberia is a place I'd love to explore. Sea kayak circumnavigation of Baikal would be amazing. 2 friends of mine were the first people to ever do it, back in 2003.

Olkhon is the most famous place on Baikal, so hardly underrated, but definitely an amazing, unforgettable place. I was there about 4 years ago with my two youngest kids, my niece and my father in law. Watching your video brings back amazing memories. For instance the sunrises. So thanks for reminding me of one of our most memorable trips. We started in Ulan Ude and spent a few days there and a few on the East bank of Baikal. Then we took a small speedboat to Olkhon, about 2.5 hours. You should also go to Kamchatka, Altai and Kavkaz.

Hi, Avarua59. Shamanism and Buddhism are sometimes unified or mixed their world to interpret the principle historically. My country actually divided them into two legally in the middle of 19 century. Even though there are various theories on a radical principle, those ribbons are one of important Buddhism ritual items that express both each part of Buddha’s body and Buddhism Cosmos with 5 colors. In this case, as for my opinion, Lake Baikal area has many indigenous people of rare Buddhists in Russia. So, they use vivid colors one as a reason for a strong windy climate, Tibetan in Himalaya use flags, and other Buddhism countries use 5 colors screen to signify the philosophy as well. This explanation may not always accurate. FYI "All is vanity."
