- In this video I replace the battery in the transmitter of the new Blink 500 wireless audio system. I also install a connector so the battery is fairly easy to swap out in the future.

Great tutorial. Good thing to know when my Saramonics wear out. Thanks
Very good video I have the Blink 500 Pro the Receiver not charging
Yup, this just happened to me. Just a few months after warranty expired. I'll do this mod for sure.
Nice video 👍. Thank you
Awesome, thanks!!!
perfect thank you 😊
Nice info
Thank you Bro
You are a genius. I love this type of hacks. If possible, could you make a steady video of both sides? It is interesting for people who damage their blink500 and watch the resistors, capacitors, etc may burned. I'm interested in the other side you don't show in order to watch the electronics of this gadget. Liked. And thanks.
Are you talking about the other side of the circuit board while I'm soldering? The trick is to use a hot enough soldering iron that you can work fast so heat doesn't build up and spread to other components. And soldering out at the wires like I did would have little to no chance of damaging the board. If the wire got too hot it would just de-solder itself from the board.
Or are you just wanting to see the other side of the board in general? If so, I could get some pictures pretty easily and post some links.
Maybe I could do the same mod to the smaller receiver and solder the wires directly to the board. If I do that I'll try to get video of both sides. I'll put that video idea in the queue, but it might be a while before I get around to it because I have a lot of stuff waiting in the wings for me to have time.
@@bigtb1717 No, no. I'm not talking about soldering. I'm talking about doing a close up of the circuit. Imagine (in a future) you open again the mic and there is a burned component. If you have a hi-res photo you can buy the damaged component. Somebody is complaining of that in other teardown video and he said he needed a friend's mic to watch the reference of the burned resistor
@@SabrinaVideo A high-res picture might show you component type and location, but it won't give a resistor's value. I can still get some close-up pictures of the board if you want.
Nice work. Is there any room for a larger battery? I’m also considering adding a better lower noise or more sensitive mic inside if possible.
No much, if any. On the other half of the plastic case there is a bit of a box molded in that surrounds the battery to hold it in place. It’s possibe you could trim that and fit a slighty larger battery, but probably not very much larger.
Nice video, having a problem with the receiver. Wondering if you can share the link where to buy including the tools needed?
The only tool needed to disassemble is a small, phillips screwdriver. Are you comfortable doing work on small wiring and electronics? Do you have any electronics tools at all? The only reason I ask, is because it would be easy to recommend a soldering iron, for example, but I also have support supplies like flux and solder. What is the problem you are having with the receiver?
Is this the same battery pack for the new Blink 500 B1 Pro? Can you send the link where you purchased the battery pack replacement, please? :)
I can't say if it's the same battery for the newer Pro systems. The specific one I ordered is no longer available. But if you search for a 602030 Lipo battery on Amazon, you can probably find one. 3.7V, 300 mAh.
Please send me the link for the battery and the connector
Hi! I’ve found this type of battery (602030) with 500mah at 3,7V. Should it be compatible with the device?
The stock battery is 300mAh. 500mAh is quite a bit larger and may not fit. You may be able to make it fit, but I can't say for sure.
Nice video.. How to see the battery indicator level when in use?
There is a ring of light segments around the power button. How many of those are illuminated gives a rough idea of battery level.
@@bigtb1717 : thank you.
My battery seems to be working, but the light won't turn on! Do you think the bulb went out?
Did you replace the battery? Does the wireless system work, but just not show any lights? There are multiple LEDs. Does anything light up when it's plugged in to charge?
Hello Please post a link to the battery and connectors in the description as it not easy to find haven’t found it as yet
The model is 602030. If you just search for 602030 battery on Amazon or a similar site, you should find multiple options. Here is the one I bought:
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9R4PXT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That one has a JST connector, but some options don't have a connector. You could also just cut the connector off and solder it direct. Fitting a connector in the receiver might be a bit tough anyway. If you get one with a JST connector, you just have to get a matching connector for the receiver/transmitter. If you search "JST connectors" you should find options. Here is what I used:
www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Connector-Battery-Inductrix-Eachine/dp/B07NWD5NTN/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=1MZG0LYCDSL1N&keywords=jst+connectors&qid=1653245359&sprefix=jst+connectors%2Caps%2C134&sr=8-4-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRFBRV0Q3Rk02Q1M1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODc3NzczTTZTRVJBRkIzRklRJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMDk4ODQxUDFJNUYzN0RBNzlIJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
where did you order the battery?
I ordered the battery and connectors from Amazon.
@@bigtb1717 thank you so much
No problem. I searched Amazon for the number that was on the original battery and I found the one I bought. If you can't find one let me know and I'll look for the order and see if I can find the one I bought.
Hai il codice della batteria? Grazie
does the Blink 500 pro b1 have the same battery?
I don't have that system, so I can't say. If it is as easy to open as the standard Blink 500, you could pop it open and check. There should be numbers on the battery.
Hi, I have the the newer version of this mic the saramonic blink 500 pro B2 and I have the same problem. The receiver suddenly stopped working . can I just give it to some electronics store and replace the battery ?
I didn’t use it for a while one day when I wanted it it started showing like that
I do have warranty but their telling me to ship to the their warehouse in China and the sellers don’t even follow up so I don’t wanna do that
Você conseguiu trocar o meu também parou de funcionar
não, eu não mudei, posso mudar em breve, mas acho que a melhor maneira é apenas dar a eles
I have a blink 500 b2 type, and one transmitter can't connect to the receiver, I've reset it but still don't want to connect, is there a solution?
When you say you reset it, did you do the pairing process? If you haven't tried the pairing process, that's what I would try. If you already did the pairing process I don't really know what else to try.
Would having the terminal so close to the on-board mic be a possible source of noise,as they are free floating in the case right behind the on-board mic?
If it could move around, maybe. But it couldn't really move much. I never had an issue. If you did, a tiny piece of foam to keep the connector from moving around should take care of it.
can you share the link where you bought the battery?
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9R4PXT
Looks like it's still available. RUclips often removes posts with links, so this may or may not show up.
Any idea if it is a good battery or one of those fake Chinese that lasts third of the original?
It's hard to say for sure. It's definitely not "fake" in the traditional sense. It's not pretending to be anything other than a 300mAh, single cell Li-Po. In other words, it's not pretending to be any sort of specific brand or "official OEM" or anything like that. I wouldn't doubt it's made in China, or wherever most Li-Po batteries like this are made. It seems like a decent battery, but whether it's built to the same standards or with the same levels of quality control as the original, I can't say.
sir gud pm.. i have 1 tx and rx.. dead talaga
can i send u my saramonic blink500 pro and do a repair? u can make a video about it too👋
Sorry, but I have to say no. I would love to help you out if I could, but I have limited time and I wouldn't feel comfortable tinkering around with someone else's piece of gear. I'll tear my own stuff apart all day, lol, but I better not start taking apart other people's stuff.
Out of curiosity, what seems to be the problem with it?
@@bigtb1717 it cant charge or turning on😭
