FORD Transmision Solenoid Characterization Programming

Programming is becoming a more common occurrence in the day-to-day operations of a busy automotive repair facility. Almost all modern transmissions are going to require some type of setup, coding, initialization or programming. Guys if you are new to this and do not have a programming maintainer do not attempt it with a regular battery charger. Your best bet is to find a NON-smart charging vehicle and use another car's charging system to maintain the vehicle. Make sure all the loads are off on the other vehicle and if you have a throttle stick bring it up to about 1,000 RPM. If you ever saw a CAN buss oscilloscope pattern on a regular battery charger you would instantly know why. I have programmed like this many times in my younger years and never had an issue. I still urge you to get a maintainer though. As much as it is preached people think it is something you can get away with. There are probably more failed programming events due to improper battery voltage than anything else.

Do you have any information on the 2019 and later bottles of the Ford edge with the 8F 35 transmission? and what is called the fucking jerk or hesitation at slow speeds that Ford has decided to ignore the customers like it either doesn’t exist or it’s just normal operating procedure. If so, do you have any advice that actually productive most of what we get from other forums is simply sell it or set fire to it, but I happen to like the car other than this one issue so I thought I would reach out and see if you might know of anything that could help thank you
