Your advice is very refreshing to hear! Because I am so passionate about writing, and my brain just could talk all day long to people about stuff but instead, I want to channeled that energy into writing and making money from some thing I’d like to do which is talking but in this case, I’m going to type what I would talk about haha!!! I always felt inclined to just start writing first about some thing I wanted to write about.
Great tips! I get too hung up on what I'm writing and making edits and doing research as I go - it makes so much more sense to just WRITE first! Thank you!
Really loved this video. I've been freelance writing for a year but I still feel some imposter syndrome. Most of your process is exactly the same as mine, which reassured me of my skills. The remaining stuff I'll be trying out :D Thanks!
as someone who have worked with writing egaming articles for a while, i want to clarify one thing: its not the typing that takes the most time. i can type the average of 40 wpm, yet when i am writing, i were not writing in 2400 words per hour, even writing at 300 words per hour. why? because you have to do a LOT of research. in my field there are always new betting sites, new bonuses etc which the agency i work for asked me to write, and because it is seo optimizing content i cant just search on google or read 3 other reviews - no, i actually have to navigate to the main site, read the terms and conditions, and sometimes even create an account there. this month i got a full time contract at the agency as a writer, and i have improved and can write 500-1000 words per hour, but that is because i converted my writing process from typing to voice typing using gboard. a special editor i made in python with hotkeys for automatically googling up selected text and templating and a live keyword counter inside of that editor.
Hello! Yes, I would love for you to create a video on how to get good long-term clients, please! Although, as it's been three years since you posted this, maybe you already have? I will take a look. Also, I like your style :) I went to watch another video on SEO (that's how I found you) and I almost found myself nodding off, because her style was way too low-key for me, it was taking her forever to even get set-up, and I found myself nodding off. I thought, "There has to be something better than this!" Anyway, thanks for the videos!!
I have a typing speed question. For for my current internship I am asked to write 5 articles a week based on interviews. How long should it take to write a 1500 word article based off of a transcript? Plus the research involved while writing it it. It takes me about 3 hours to write one. Plus most of these interview tapes are 40 minutes to an hour long. So am I taking too long long to write these articles?

I definently need this. How did you create this?
I don't know if you already did this, but yes to how to get long term clients!
I’ve done it already!
How would someone find and get new clients? What would pitches and cold calling look like?
I’ll do some videos about that, but in the meantime, this will help: colleenwelsch.com/2020/04/cold-pitching-101.html
This helpful and straight to the point. Kudos 👌👌👌👌👌 and thanks.
Needed this!
I'm glad you found it helpful!
I have been dreaming about doing copywriting just like you.. oh please I need more of this. 💓 from the Philippines 🇵🇭
102-120 per minute- wow! I only just cross 90. Need time to think too haha! I guess if I literally just typed what I thought it could be a lot faster.
That's pretty much what I do haha
@@colleenwelsch_ Need to start doing that then haha. The perfectionist in me puts up a good fight though 😂
Do you start your FD in Google then transfer it to WordPress? Is it best to write spec pieces in Google or Wordpress? Thanks!
I write everything in Docs
I needed this! It all comes down to writing fast so you can make more in a short amount of time 👌
Absolutely!
Geat information, thanks for sharing.
How do we get those long-term clients, Colleen? 👀
