Very cool man! I find action figures a little harder to animate because they can't stand very well on their own, but they are pretty fun to use.
They're quite a bit harder just cause of the number of points of articulation. The more joints, the more complex the motion, the harder the animation.
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop Do typical action figures' articulation points ever need "reinforcement" to stay between stop-motion moves, or do you find they are strong enough to stick on their own?
@@rickc3402 typically I find them strong enough to stand on their own, sometimes I will use clay or stikki wax if they need a little more friction.

As a stop motion newbie what brand of wires do you use in your animations as I would like to use this in animations myself or if I can’t find wire what should I use to suspend things in the air?
I don't know of you'll bee doing more videos with other action figures but if you do try to use mafex, s.h figuarts or figma, they are THE BEST figures for stop motion.
Man, even when you're not making a lego video, you still use lego for other animations.

I don't know how you do it, I love your vids and they are a big inspiration for my channel.
One tip on the sting part coming from a miniature painter. You can buy some "blue stuff" plastic and make a mold of the sword. Then make copies with something called "green stuff". Then you wouldn't have to break the original

I will confess, the Legolas doesn't have the best articulation, so it wouldn't be great for animation. But for display it's great!
