Like you I wanted to modify to solve a problem I personally had with the car. I felt the car was not “engaging” enough to drive and wanted more feel to the vehicle. Like you said don’t fix it it it ain’t broke. Thx much.
So glad came across your video. I like your approach to your car. I have a ‘19 sport 6 spd. And looking at getting coil overs although not for racing - street duty only. I was having the same issue as you with the rear end suddenly sliding out. What model BC did you get? In lowering the car did you delete the under neath chin spoiler? Will you be doing a corner balance as this is perhaps very important for racing? Lowering the car does help but getting a 50 % cross weight is very important so the car handles the same going right and left. Do you have any concerns with the viscous LSD. I have the same LSD in mine and was advised that for street use going to a mechanical LSD like a Quaiffe or Wavetrac would not be beneficial. Can you tell me how the coil overs have held up - would you purchase them again? FYI other things I have done are Eibach front and rear sway bars, Poly Urethane motor mounts, Poly Urethane transmission mount, Solid rear subframe bushings (this eliminates the rear wheel hop on spirited launches).
Hi, I would like to corner balance, but need to find someone with scales. I have the DS digressive dampers with 12k front and 9k rear springs. Buy longer rear springs than the ones offered because the rear of the car will sit too low otherwise. I have a Kazz differential now, which is good for a track car but probably bad for a street car. The coilovers are holding up well and I would so it over again but buy longer rear coils.
To get front camber to between - 1.5 to 2.0 deg negative, is adjustable upper A-arms the only way? This coupled with thicker front ARB and oil cooler, do you think ia enough for the odd non competitive trackday?
like your way of upgrading the z to handle better. Ive yet to hit the track and was wondering in which order you felt upgrading the parts worked best to gradually improve the handling I find the car moves about alot when shifting on mid speed sweepers making it hard to keep the power on.

Very informative video, thanks.

Sure, I ran plenty of track days without the coilovers. There isn't any way.to adjust the front camber without adjustable A arms.

A bigger front swaybar will help. The Hotchkis is probably too big for stock suspension and non race tires though.
