However, that doesn't matter.. you expanded the power of the song. I was afraid to listen to yours bc I really wanted to take my time.. but that was even more exciting bc I see what you're doing So far I can do the chorus well and can't believe my hands.. but the verses.. if I put the baseline in my keyboard precorded I can jam out. Till it comes out I'm just putting in the work daily. Helps the song is about achievement. I also bought diggin on you by tlc.. Another babyface song that also has a shuffle.
Hey my friend…sorry I’m so late with my reply. Totally agree that the base line is nice. One advice…don’t rely too heavily on sheet music. Your ear is your best tool. I use sheet music sometimes too. A lot of times if I know the melody I’ll pluck it out on the piano, then once I know the key, figuring out the harmony is an easier task. Sheet music is just someone written version of what they heard.
