Good morning everybody! Perfect timing! With the help of shrooms gunnies and Jerry and the boys, doing some middle of the night house cleaning! Beautiful❤
Excellent, Elaine!🫖Haven't listened to the Tea Party in years! Such a great time for the boys!🎶🎵🎸Got these tapes in the '70s, but they didn't sound like this! Thanks for sharing!!🌞🕺💃☮️❤️
Boston Tea Party! This is top tier Dead🪶🪶🪶Maaan, love love love this show, like an old friend, remember this recording lol, the countless times listened to this ❣️💃🐊Thank You Elaine😻
I'm with you about top tier, Susie, and also about listening to it a lot, back in the day, but it's been a while and my ears are fresh for it again and, like, woah!
Susie Fairfield, you're my hero! Jerry too...love his passion about the sound seething about getting shocked ⚡️by the mics... The American Revolution was started by a kid who was throwing snowballs and subsequently shot. This according to the historical novel Bootmaker To The Nation. Excellent read. ☃️
OOOOH. Late 69 into 70. Hm. Jerry had such raw power in the 60s and early '70s then, they started the '70s with acoustic sets. Such a great time period.
This is awesome!!! Can't just listen to it once!! Got this one playing on a loop. Thank you, Elaine for this wonderful selection and a years full of happy feelings and memories. A joyful year of love and a grateful fan of all the people who have been sending in all of the stories. Stay blessed 🙌 😇 🙏 ✨️
Soooo crisp! Astonishing sound quality and what a great show =))))) The tuning banter is the only time I've heard Jerry that annoyed! And then they rip into a killer Black Peter! Way to channel that frustration lol. AMAZING, thank you!!!
Well, he sits in as a "guest" during parts of the last two shows before the hiatus, Winterland 10/19/74 and 10/20/74 and rejoins the band from the SNACK benefit, Kezar 3/23/75. His last show before leaving was Capital Theater, Port Chester 2/18/71. @@susiefairfield7218
Thank You Elaine, I have thoroughly enjoyed ALL the shows you have sent my way this year. I have no idea how I got on your list, but glad to be a part of it. Must have just breezed my way on an Easy Wind.😊❤😊
Good one, Elaine. This whole run is stellar but the 29th may be the hottest -- hot enough until the 30th anyways. Billy really the Kid there in the photo, and Jerry shaved. Is this from the Tea Party?
Hey. Nice one. May I make a request for some ‘73? ( The Billy Year). I think regardless of what anybody’s preference is in terms of GD year/era, that 73’ stands out. Billy just killed it all year- as good as the great jazz drummers(imho) and the GD would never again be as jazzy or flexible as they were with one drummer. Not a Mickey hater- love his sonic adventures. Something was lost and something gained 🤷🏻…and I tend to doubt Billy could have worked THAT HARD for another 22 years! He killed it every night, that i’ve heard. Anyway, maybe some folks haven’t heard enoughof “73.( like me😏)…Anyway, if i missed some yesterday or something, i apologize. Just a notion that just crossed my mind. Peace y’all.
Trouble is, the first 1973 Billy Dead is 2/9/73, which is almost six weeks. Maybe Elaine can find us some Billy with Jerry meanwhile? He was Jerry's steady drummer in Jan 74. Is that close enough?
They say the 🖊 is mightier than the sword. .Jerry sets the show's tempo with his voice during Black Peter. His vocals were nearly as powerful as his 🎸 playing because he sang from the ❤️ Don't care if he forgets lyrics sometimes. 🐖 pen blends so nicely with the whistle the evening 🚆

Question for anyone up... Do you know what year Mickey was back in the band?
Mickey left in February 1971, & didn’t return to the band for another 3 years, finally making his return in 1974🪶
Well, he sits in as a "guest" during parts of the last two shows before the hiatus, Winterland 10/19/74 and 10/20/74 and rejoins the band from the SNACK benefit, Kezar 3/23/75. His last show before leaving was Capital Theater, Port Chester 2/18/71. @@susiefairfield7218
