A tip from someone else was to press your iPhone (I assume this works for other phones too) against the glass of a window/door to take a picture without reflection, from a bus/train/plane.
Thanks for the tips, and your white top is super cute‼

I've done some professional photo work here. I always seem to get compliments when I take pics with someone else's phone or camera.
A lot of time I take pictures of other people from the waist up because feet can be so awkward unless there is a lot of background that is key. But if it's just "Hey, we're here" kind of photo I use the 2X or 3X lens. Much more flattering to the face.
If they want more Background I just step back it I can.
The reason why the 2 or 3X lens makes the background seem closer is called Depth Of Field. But you don't necessarily need to know or understand that. Just knowing that it compresses everything is all you need.
I tell people especially groups of people to "shuolder in" a bit so they are not full front which is very unflatering for most people.
I try to shoot folks at their eye level, so if they are shorter than me, I bend my knees. Way taller than me, I try to stand on tip-toe or raise the phone a bit.
There are some good YT vids for posing yourself and others. Hope this helps someone.

So glad I stumbled on your channel. I’m solo travelling for the first time and taking pictures is a source of anxiety for me since I won’t have anyone taking them for me. And I’m such an introvert I can’t ask other people to do it (nor would I want to lol).
    Any tips on this?

OMG i learned so much! I have an android but you can bet i was passing the video a lot to test what you said 😊
Haha I hate having my pic taken but every once in a blue moon I just have to have it. Funny story, I was in London getting that popular pic standing next to a phone both with big Ben in the shot. I asked one of the girls behind me to take a pic for me. LMAO all of a sudden she's like do a pose, do another and I'm telling her I've got no poses! Just leaning at an angle with my feet crossed. I've got no game 😂 meanwhile her and her friends had a million poses and took quite a while. A lot of people did that. I just had it taken so my friends didn't yell at me that I'm not in any pics 🤣😅

One tip I've found really helpful (for other people taking pictures of me) is to take a picture of them first, to show them how I want the photo of me to look.
