@@IchigoFan My favorite part was when he had to look for witnesses as well. It's hilarious because you'd never think twice of doing that if you're playing it normally on a TV but in VR, you really do feel like you're in the world.
I love the mod too. Replaying the whole game in VR. That moment when Michael son called about the failed boat sale, and then chasing the truck down.. wow amazing shit. Then his mate crawling on the car hood and jumping on truck. Honestly I couldn't t give a rats ass for 2d when I played on tv but this moment in VR has blown my mind
I agree about the driving in VR in GTA V, feeling more natural. I was able to really judge my corners and miss other cars by a hair 'on purpose' just like in reality where you really get a sense of spatial awareness. (Shake your head to recentre your head or press F11 to enable mod options then hit numpad "/"). If you feel too low just sit up a bit, re-centre, then sit properly again, the head will be a touch higher. I just drive around the city at night, looking at the window, soaking up the atmosphere, at times it blows you away with how realistic it feels (presence). I found motorbikes, esp sports bikes at night with headlights, rain and the helmet on extremely immersive. I never bothered with bikes much before as a car nut, but in VR the bikes feel AWESOME. I was popping wheelies and seeing the trees sail above with the moonlight glinting through them, then the wet roads through busy parts of the city chasing a taxi and shooting - all of it felt *easier* and way more visceral in VR. Was having flashbacks a day later to it as if I'd really been there. Anyone watching this who hasn't tried it in VR, or hasn't tried good VR, trust me it is WAY better than a simple flat video can ever convey. You *are* there and you feel everything. I think it looks best at night, with storms, MVGA mod, real cars, on my rift CV1. It's a hint at the future, it's not perfect but works far better than any non-designed for VR game ever should and unlike most made for VR games it's actually a fully realised, highly detailed realistic environment that only adds to the reality of the virtual... er, reality. In my top 5 VR experiences ever, even with alternate screen rendering, and I've been VR-ing since 2014 with the Rift DK2 (also had Vive, PSVR and Rift CV1... waiting now for true GEN 2 so CV1 is ok for now) And yeah it does feel like you've really visited when you've been there in VR, vs watching it on a TV program (Flat screen gaming). I kept thinking "the hours I've spent in this place but now I feel like I'm REALLY there" - reminds me of the time I went to New York (in reality) after reading/watching videos for years. Very. Similar. Feeeling. This game could put VR on the map if it was redone properly for VR + upgraded graphically for 2020 and run on FAST PCs. Stick in arcades to show nay-sayers how amazing it is and watch them line up to buy Index's and Rifts! ;)
1:55 Titch will remember this.. If GTA 6 can't be played in VR out of the box, Rockstar will be missing a trick. This looks so good. Any idea as to whether it supports drop-in & drop-out VR so you can play using the same save on both?
I think you’d be okay with using the same save if you backed it up, but you’d need to remove or reinstall the mod each time you wanted to change things.
@UCBuVJv5bFPrPKhzhbeK6-Wg Yea I took a look but it didn't seem very clear on whether it would save certain settings to the save file, the game's settings, or just alters defaults in the game. Ah well, I don't have VR yet so perhaps by the time I do I'll have found a way to do it easily.
@@nightcatarts For too installs I'd imagine the Steam and Rockstar launcher will prevent that. I've tried on other games. Short of using VMs, the DRM will prevent that. Of course their are other mothods, but I and I'm sure EG don't condone doing those ;)
@@madness1931 Well, technically the second install doesn't need to know it's a second install.. I think the problem with the angled body is an issue with the first person mode in GTA rather than the VR mod as it does this on the Xbox One version as well.

Normally, VR output means two cameras, rendering the whole game world twice & requiring about twice the power.
