I use two to automate preheating my oven. One hits 'bake' then another hits 'start' 1 second later. It works great and can be done on your way home from work.
What's the obsession with turning the tv on with your phone? It's so much easier to do with a remote control, only a single button press. What I use the switch bot for is to turn on my espresso machine in the morning so it warms up by the time I get up and get to the kitchen. Light switch application is kind of cool when you're away from home you're able to turn on the lights and simulate being there.
😂 what's the point of using a remote when you can use your phone as a universal remote. There are both remotes ❤. Your question should be how can I easy turn my ozone into a universal remote for my house. My question to you is, how many remotes do you have? (I still have buttons to turn stuff on and off if I'm right next to it, too)
Can you have more than one preset for the same switch? For example, one setting to press for 3 seconds and then another setting to press for one second? Keeping in mind I don’t want these settings combined.
Sorry, I’m a little technologically challenged, but will the bot work with Wifi without the hub? We r planning to use 1 bot to open the main entrance for airbnb guests, and want to be able to activate the bot from our own apartment.
No. Without the hub the phone and the bot communicate through Bluetooth. They must be connected to set a schedule, then you can walk away. They also make smart door locks, you may want to know about it, it can be what you need.
I've been wondering if I could use one of these to open and close our front window blinds. They're manually lifted up and down to open and close the luvers. Of course there's a draw-string to raise and lower the entire blinds but we hardly ever do that. I'd probably have to get two switch bots and have one at the top and bottom. But there's only a horizontal arm at the top to open and close the luvers. So I'd have to attach some kind of string or wire to the Switchbot arm. But who knows if that set-up would even work. The Switchbot arm would have to have a decent pull strength to it. And I'm kinda doubtful of it's strength after seeing that it couldn't press your garage-door opener button.
these things are useless on standard switches let alone curtain controls. I have not found one switch where it functions as it should. It is way too weak and cant push\pull on anything.
I have a remote start unit to start my car and warm its cabin in winter before I drive, but the windshield defrost operates on a different circuit and can't be connected to my car's remote starter. So I want a remote button-pusher like Switchbot to push the dashboard button that activates my windshield defrost. What's the range of this thing? Would it work in a car covered in snow and ice? Would it work when the car temperature is -10 degrees C or colder? I guess batteries don't work well in extreme cold, but when the cabin warms up will the Switchbot work? Also, do the batteries that it uses get damaged in extreme cold? It's rare but it can get to -30 C where I live.
Hi, i got a question so for SwitchBot if I'm not going to use the Hub... can I still control the On/Off function via the SwitchBot app when I'm outside remotely? or the app can only control using bluetooth
Hey, I might purchase this but I was wondering if it works with alexa routines? Like for example if i tell alexa to run my video game routine where it activate/turns on multiple devices will the switchbot be compatible? Sorry for the long winded question, thanks!
I want to buy this! I want to use it for my mouse and or keyboard though… does it have a random click setting so it clicks my mouse or keyboard at random second intervals? Thanks in advanced
is the hub needed if you will only use the bot without google? I have a Zigbee controller already at home, does it work with that or do I need the switch bot controller.
Is it possible to pair one unit to multiple phones? Planning to use it to unlock my door by making it press the unlock button, hoping it can be paired to each of my family member's phones.
Did u do The video with the smart plug and doing the endless loop? to turn it on with a smart something at 5:45 at the end of this video did you do that when you said you gonna do it next and I look and you didn’t
does it have a function for click dimmers? like we have spots with dimmers without a dial. From start: --turn on > full brightness --turn on > off > on, its now dimmed to about 60% --turn on > off > on > off > on, now dimmed to about 15-20%
Can i use as automatic 1 hour loop? Like timer for my airconditioner remote? So it can on for 1 hour and off for one hour cycle for entire night? Since i Don't have this timer feature in my airconditioner and i want to save electricity consumption.
@@METRIKVX no one replied to me but I have come to the conclusion it won’t. They sell another product for them, but the reviews are not great for that product.

I'd be afraid to have a bot have it's finger on the button that can burn down your house

Use your phone to cast content... good luck doing that without being able to turn on your TV without a remote.
Or just a IR blaster ;)

How many hubs do I need? Like 100 different hubs plugged in?
Exactly my wuestion
So you need to subscribe to tuya permonth to use the hub ?
So you need a gateway to be able to controll the switchbot wirelessly ? Or is it only to controll it through voice ?
That was because he connected to his net work. The bot is controlled by an app, not voice command necessary
Is there a way to connect it to ewelink?
I can control the switchbot outside my home without the cloud led?
Can you set the time for how long the button will be pressed? I want to use it for garage opener which needs like 1,5s button press.
You can let the Button Presse for 60sec.
SwitchBot and MicroBot all out of stock! Where can I get something in Australia
I hope you can do a finger bot review also from adaprox

How about turning your tv off/on with the remote control...
that's the next level accessory to sell, haha
I can't seem to integrate it with the google assistant. I don't see the menu option shown in the video.
Hi, would like to know . If I need a switch to press and hold for 3 seconds? Do you know any switch works like this ? Thank you very much
you can achieve that by quickly pressing bottom 30 times thru the App, haha.

Logitech harmony hub has Bluetooth. will it work to pair wit the hub?
Hello 👋
Then this month, any incidents?
If you login to your switch bot account on their website can you control the switch bot from the site instead of the app?
Do u need tonbuy the hub just so u can connect it to echo?
Hi. How did you link it to both google and Alexa?
Does this have enough force to press the clicker (igniter switch) of a standard BBQ?
Can it pull a rigger?
Can it do a standard American switch the one That is thin and sticks out
So does this work on toggles and does it work directly with google assistant or do you have to so chaining through ifttt?

Yes. Once it is connect to the hub you can control it remotely

Yes you can if you position it correctly
