Fun fact: the original plot for Dino Crisis 3 involved Regina navigating a dilapidated city that resembled New York City due to the rampage of the dinosaurs, but it was scrapped due to Capcom fearing that it would've been in poor taste, as 9/11 had happened not long before, and so the game was delayed from 2001 to 2003, had its plot rewritten and Regina was scrapped, and this is what we got as a result of it.

And that T-Rex fight? it is technically doable but it only can shorten the wait and it's very likely you'd only defeat the Rex by using the infinite launcher
The issue with sentences cutting out abruptly in Dino Crisis 2 is due to the PS3 emulator. I had the exact same issue with my Dino Crisis 2 disc when played on a PS3, but I tested it out on my PS2, and all the sentences played out clearly and completely that previously cut out on PS3. The same issue occurs with my Silent Hill 1 disc in my PS3, so I'm guessing the PS3 emulator struggles with playing out dialogue properly on certain games due to emulation shenanigans. I wonder what your experience of it will be? Edit: Aaand there it is.
If Capcom were to remake the series, then they could have biological inaccuracies be due to the time displacement bringing back the dinos wrong. However, it'd still be wise of them to make the T-rex use closed-mouth vocalizations.
I remember buying an original Xbox (with all cables, controllers and a free game) from a high school flea market for only $5 back in 2012-2013. I dusted it off last year at the start of the COVID isolation, and outside of a frayed wire on the controller it works perfectly!

I really loved the memes you put into the DC3 segment. I think you could add more of those even in the more "serious" parts of the review. Might just be me though. Really loved this video.
Every time you do a video on an older series like this you discover a treasure trove of issues that come with wanting to play old games that companies refuse to re-release even digitally
Me personally, I’d be more than okay with just scaly Dinos because their behavior isn’t even accurate anyway, and the scaly exterior is part of the iconic scary aspect to them. I find it hilarious that Dino experts got so annoyed that the Dinos weren’t accurate even when it was explained that they were all essentially hybrids, and they didn’t even bother pointing out how uninteresting a human would be to a T-Rex. They’re cinematic monsters, so anything goes in my opinion.
Yo! I remember this game!!! I thought I was the only one who remembered this game. This game was awesome and wondered how that game ended since it was so long ago. Thank you for this nostalgia trip bro. And thank you for informing me about Dino Crisis 3 so I don’t bother playing it hahaha

Just gotta keep spamming its short range shot on top of her and she becomes basically invulnerable.
I would like to see a remake of dino crisis
Odd tinkering is so good. Next thing you know it's 3am and you're watching him restore a Gameboy sp
Just wanna say I love Regina she's a total badass!
Survival horror?......underwater?.............OH!, play Deep Fear on the Sega Saturn. You are going to "love" the voice acting.
31:31 that biting sound 😹😹😹
I've noticed the Audio issues are always a Emulator or PS3 problem
I never remember having any Audio cut offs back when I had on my PS1.
An omega cool video that opened my eyes to a series I've never heard of but will very likely try in the near future. Hearing you talk about games I've never interacted with is always super interesting but honestly the xbox trial hit me really deep. I had also been having hardware problems with old consoles and recently got into repairing them myself with a soldering iron I finally bought. When you talked about going to Home Depot right before they were closing I lost it! Hopefully your next video isn't as stressful for you lol
I remember a lot of games that I enjoyed when I was a kid, though upon replaying them I found they didn't live up to the memories. I remember games I got bored of and abandoned, I remember games that I got frustrated at and quit in anger... Dino Crisis 3 is the only game from back then where my memories are more a sense of discomfort, of wanting to get away from it, of feeling like I'd rather be in school or doing chores.
That xbox tried to save you from dino crisis 3, but you didn't listen
That Xbox would rather die than have Dino Crisis 3 in it, respect
I remember buying an original Xbox (with all cables, controllers and a free game) from a high school flea market for only $5 back in 2012-2013. I dusted it off last year at the start of the COVID isolation, and outside of a frayed wire on the controller it works perfectly!
The Xbox saga obstacles was God telling you to NOT play DC3, but you insisted anyway.
The danger “QTE” segments remind me of Clock Tower when the mouse cursor flickers when Scissorman is narrowing the gap to whoever you are playing as :3
Thank you for the review! It's so nice seeing people talk about this forgotten game.
First saw and liked your fatal frame vid, but oh boy I just immediately hit the sub button during that hilarious rant. What a great way to start my day hahaha. Cheers!
$64 for Dino Crisis 3 😱 the line between waiting for the lowest ever price and the price going back up because it’s turned vintage is blurry 😂
At that point just mod the damn thing
Yoooo just started your Fatal Frame series because I've been on a Nostalgia horror kick lately for some reason! Gonna watch this one right after, your taste in games and anime is based.
Idk Dude, i watch a lot of videogame essayists, but in the short time I've known your channel you got me in to 3 different franchises. Deus Ex on the ps2 has been a blast!
Think gonna give dino crisis 2 a go
Wow I never thought anybody would cover this series. Couldn't have been happier with your video
People come cover this series all the time! Do you even search?!
@@danielramsey6141 haha apparently not. Last time I checked out the reviews for this series was 6 years ago
This is one of your best videos.
I own a classic Xbox and the CD tray hasn't been able to open for about a year. I keep putting off trying to fix it but the prospect of doing bypass surgery on it isn't too appealing as I'm pretty clumsy.
Dino Stalker is surprisingly fun with a GunCon2, but yes it is a short experience.
Cvit reviewing a series of games again? Great start to the weekend.
We don't talk about dino crisis 3
I’m at the Dino crisis three point in the video and I think I can say the diamond crisis three at least on the cut scenes anyway and only the cut scenes looks the best out of all of the Dino crisis games yet??????
A fourth installment based on the gameplay and atmosphere of the first game and Regina coming back would be a dream come true.
8:21 the Dreamcast version of Dino Crisis 1 shows reginas health bar and ammo on the vmu memory card I bought both ps1 and Dreamcast versions of the game to see if anything was cut out of either versions
The Dino Crisis 3 segment made me laugh so hard with the editing and SFX omg
small note that I think ppl have made you notice probably, the large grey raptors in DC1 are actually Therizinosaurs, which are actually herbivors......it's complicated.
Gonna be real. I didn't know there was a Dino crisis 3. I've play 1 & 2 and just assumed Capcom didn't continue the series. After watching this video I wish to return to ignorance on its existence.
I need the background music in the DC3 section, its hilarious every time you use it 😂💀👍
Absolute respect for going through all that trouble just to play Dino Crisis 3 💀
I really loved the memes you put into the DC3 segment. I think you could add more of those even in the more "serious" parts of the review. Might just be me though.
Really loved this video.
That reminded me of what Exo did to play the PC version of Glover in his Xross Platform episode on it (Spoilers he bought an old computer to do it)
Listening to you explain what you had to do to get the OG Xbox to work reminds me of trying to get my Wii to get the home brew channel to work
similar to how neopets the darkest faerie game does this
that actually caught me by surprise didnt expect to hear mention of that game at all
Every time you do a video on an older series like this you discover a treasure trove of issues that come with wanting to play old games that companies refuse to re-release even digitally
This my childhood. It's such a slept on game, the first 2 atleast.
I love your random rant of your struggles with the framemeister and xbox in the video😂
"There is no intro.
This game is fucking rancid shit!"
I nearly spit my water out on my laptop XD
The “wider velociraptor” is actually a therizinosaurus
Man, dc3 should have just gone full on 360 degree camera like how dmc transitioned from 1 being fixed and 3 being a full movement one
You should play parasite eve
You got me into berserk and I am forever grateful for that thank you so very much!
Watching your journey to play DC3 and your rant about it is much more entertaining than the plot of DC3 itself haha
Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. Dyno-mite. :P
This is one of my favorite videos of yours just because of the Xbox section. Holy shit dude you're a legend
Cvit, if a remake of Dino Crisis happens, would you prefer feathered (more scientifically accurate) or scaly raptors?
Me personally, I’d be more than okay with just scaly Dinos because their behavior isn’t even accurate anyway, and the scaly exterior is part of the iconic scary aspect to them. I find it hilarious that Dino experts got so annoyed that the Dinos weren’t accurate even when it was explained that they were all essentially hybrids, and they didn’t even bother pointing out how uninteresting a human would be to a T-Rex. They’re cinematic monsters, so anything goes in my opinion.
Referring to Jurassic Park, to clarify.
Yo! I remember this game!!! I thought I was the only one who remembered this game. This game was awesome and wondered how that game ended since it was so long ago. Thank you for this nostalgia trip bro. And thank you for informing me about Dino Crisis 3 so I don’t bother playing it hahaha
I hope that if I ever become a father I can scare my kid shitless showing them Dino Crisis 1.
The entire Earth: "remake Dino Crisis"
Capcom: "Resident Evil 4 it is"
You think he’ll ever realize that the “wide velociraptors” are actually just therizinosaurs?
