Imho Watts was one of the most enlightened humans to ever walk Earth. He's speaking directly into your spirit. Was he perfect? No. But that's part of what makes him so fascinating.
I'd like to see Mark work with a producer to make a movie about this man. It'd blow A Beautiful Mind out of the water.

We have but one spiritual teacher. It is within us.
We must weigh the input upon the balance of our inner wisdom.
People, circumstances, relationship dynamics, nature, all of these cause you to introspect, from which we gain insight and understanding.
It's simply source in whatever other, connecting with source in self. The realization is inward.

      Ive given this some thought.
It seems to be part of the game. The game of God not wanting to know God is God. If everyone were constantly being reminding of this the game would lose its zest. I think its also pretty funny how these realizations are also hidden in psychedelic drugs. These drugs which just so happen to be illegal. That way people who realize they are God get called crazy...by themselves. I catch glimpses of it the incredible skill it must have taken to design this perfect game of hide and seek we play with ourselves.

This man is one of the many great minds out there.
We focus too much on the stresses of becoming a "functional member of society". Simply from what I've seen, the way we work our world and the way our minds work makes it seem as if the idea of "functioning in society" is mostly based on making people go through the motions. We don't indulge ourselves enough in what makes us happy.

  • @sbernstein

He speaks in a way that hits the listener profoundly while keeping his explanations simple so it is easy to relate. Beautifully spoken words. In sum: he is telling us to cultivate awareness and to step out of our egos and to develop a quiet mind ("Things become complicated only when we think about them"), so that way we can observe reality for what it truly is rather than be constrained by our personality and its mechanisms. Once we are free and aware, we notice everything around us and the world becomes full of all kinds of colors and shapes that we previously missed. You can tell Mr. Watts is aware of the subtle changes of his own psyche, and thus, the world around him. Very poetic and elegantly spoken. Maybe some time in the near future we will have more figures like him in the world, ones who speak the truth...

      Love all the people
He was an absolutely brilliant mind. The most gifted standup comedian that ever lived.
He was also a social critic and a political philosopher. He wrote books, screenplays, and TV show ideas, all mostly suppressed after his death in 1994
"Love for all People" has transcripts of a few of his comedy shows, screenplays, TV show ideas (including "Counts of the Netherworld", which was greenlit for Channel four in the UK), a vision he had shortly before his death as well as numerous interviews and his final words to the world
