Beavers Bend State Park Fishing - COAF Field Team Vlog Number 42

- Headed to Beavers Bend State Park to satisfy the trout fishing bug that struck this past Saturday. So, in short order, made the run across the border to the Oklahoma state park for fly fishing for Rainbow Trout.
Was warm and lots of folks out and about. Still a great time... caught two trout for dinner, let go a small trout, and missed several others as well as caught a little Bluegill.
Did notice changes to the Cold Hole and the narrowness of Spillway Creek as it flows into the Cold Hole. Also, did some exploring around the upper part of Spillway Creek up to the tail race. Did not fish the Red Zone but next round, when it is cooler, will make the effort to fish it!
PS: Uploaded the non-HD version since the video is longer than normal.

How come folks in Oklahoma don't seem to use dries? Green mosquitos kill all year round.
Not sure why. Do you have a picture or link of mosquito pattern?
Is those area is also hunting ground??
Not sure.
How did you do in the upper spillway, I have made 2 trips down there this year once at the end of January the other at the end of May. Both times I did fairly decent. The trip in May I was Ill for 2 of the 4 days so didn't fish as much as I would have liked too. I drive down from Edmond, Ok like 3.5 hr trip for me. Cool vids btw, been watching for sometime now.
