But its not a drawer its the type of shit they use at schools to keep the lunch warm all day still overpriced and no wonder american school lunch is so god damn cheap and shit if they wasting all their moneys on heating drawers
Schools, restaurants, and other large food service type facilities use warming cabinets that typically cost around 1k each. As for the drawer, it is by wolf, which is a high-end kitchen appliances manufacturer, meaning all of their products are meant for the luxury market and carry the price and quality to match.
Grandma used to put everything in the "oven drawer" which was at the bottom of the oven. Food stayed hot...I don't know why it's so hard for us to keep stuff warm...😂
@@reycaribe It might actually be in the more modern ovens these days, if they even still exist. 😅 However, the original purpose of them was as a broiler to crisp up the top of your food after baking. The heat coils in the oven are normally at the bottom of the large oven space so they're directly on top of the bottom drawer meaning the heat hits the top of your meal in the drawer directly so it was perfect for broiling. I think later ovens turned it into a warming drawer (if you see the drawer at the top then it's probably a warming drawer) and since most people STILL weren't using them correctly they slowly became obsolete and either turned into a storage drawer or completely removed from some combo stoves. 🤷🏻♀️ I believe that they're making a comeback though as the younger generations (and even some of the older generation) are being schooled on how ignorant they really are/always were. 😂
When your husband makes a lot of money. I'll stick with my 60 dollar NutriChef Portable 3 Pot Electric e Buffet Warmer Chafing Serving Dish from Target.
My wife and I bought a 4.5k bed and an adjustable base. We are NOT rich by any stretch of the imagination, and it was so painful to pull the trigger on. Sometimes, you just gotta pay for what you need/want. I'm sure those drawers are awesome if you have a need for them. I can tell you that laying on this expensive bed definitely helps shed off the cringe from how much we spent. More than worth it for quality and ensuring you're getting some of the best products available. $2,500 for one drawer is definitely expensive, but I have to wonder what the competition looks like. Well-made, functional, and heated food storage is probably gonna be expensive no matter where you go. The number of people that would need more than one drawer that isn't for their business is pretty low, and for a business, that amount isn't expensive. This kind of product would do wonders on something like a food truck.
That might be the biggest kitchen flex I’ve ever seen, that’s fancier than some restaurants setups. She could open a food truck from her kitchen drawer
How do you think these parents can’t afford stuff like this. They use their kids to flex on social media to gain rage views to make a shit ton of money. They probably don’t even use these drawers for their kids just themselves.
I’m definitely forgetting food in there for way too long. That’s a $2500 liability. I’m using my drawer like a regular poor person: pots, pans and an insta pot you break out twice a year when you remember.
In hindsight, the drawer just seems unsanitary and unsafe. Like, unless you're constantly using the food in them and cleaning them out, it just seems like a health concern; I can foresee mold and also ants, ants will find that like nothing. Bits of food are definitely getting in between the spaces. Also, in all likelihood that food is not being kept at a consistent temperature, and even if it was I feel like that's more of a fire-hazard in such an enclosed space. Even if it's not, imagine the heat it must-be giving-off; like all electrical appliances put-out heat. Now you risk warping your cabinets or ruining the paint or whatever else.
I would 100% forget food in it and it would get gross. I forget leftovers in the microwave but a DRAWER?! Edit I love the idea but I know it would cause some problems lol
We have Wolf appliances and they don't charge for installation. They also service them for free (they came and serviced our coffee machine yesterday to replace a part and sent us a replacement for a fridge drawer - which is also free).
You can get a small oven sized warming drawer with 2 slots, for about 500$.......... You gonna get smacked by your parents for being irresponsible with money
I'd hope the plumbing/vents/insulation and installing them all are what costs the money. Otherwise it's just a $99 bain marie inside a regular draw haha
The smaller pans inside are not built in. You take them out and wash them. Otherwise it is like a regular drawer that is built similar to the drawer under a conventional oven and has an electric heating element you can turn on to keep things warm.
If I ever have my own place Im going to have the utilitarian stell tables and drawers in my kitchen. Best part of food service was how simple all thst stuff was to clean.
Had one growing up and it was awesome! Wish I could get one now, but I rent so it’s not an option. I would say it’s worth every penny. Once you have one you will never want to be without one. ❤
"When you have a lot of kids..." Girl, close 'em. Legs closed. Keep 'em that way. If you have enough kids that you need a CAFETERIA, you have more than enough kids.
When my kids were home for covid, I made a buffet every morning set out so they could have a meal or snack whenever they wanted - usually a taco bar. I needed them to fend for themselves for chunks of time without interruption and this worked beautifully 😍 It was on my counter and stove - not in a kitchsn drawer 😂
Fun Fact: Food warmers have been around since the 1800s. I have a food warmer with just as many cubbies as that drawer. I bring it out when I gave a large gathering and need to keep the food hot, it plugs right in and I've even taken it camping. Costs 120 dollars. Also most ovens have a "Warmer" button.
I could DIY this for about $500 if I used second hand parts. Restaurants fail all the time & you can pick up catering gear super cheap. The parts from a bench-top bain marie would make this easy.
Hey I work at Subzero and Wolf I'm their customer service department. And yeah, super expensive. Not really worth it? I don't get many calls on the warming drawers but those are less common. You are paying for mainly the brand name. Like if you look our stuff is in the Kardashian's house. Also Shack has like 4 of our frier modules next to each other and does call customer service himself. He is a sweetie apparently. But our factory does have a good union, so it is a pretty nice place to work! the appliances are made in the us, and our customer service is pretty great. I'm not just saying it because I do the job but like legit if something breaks, even if it's out of warranty all you have to do is call and ask, we will usually cover at least parts. If you have the money they can be worth it, but don't get the Cove dishwasher. It's new and not great.
@Jordan one way you can do this for less is with a shallow stainless steel pot and a cheap induction 'burner.' You could probably get each item for under 200$ like you wanted, but it won't be quite so neat and tidy.
Really affordable if done by yourself. The most expensive would be the food grade stainless and next the heating unit. $2,500 is insane even for industrial
You also would have to leave it running to keep it warm. I worked at a nursing home where they made yummy Jewish food! They had to still keep the pots in the fridge or in a heated area depending how long
I install this stuff in las vegas. I actually installed a wolf range today lol. Yea wolf stuff is way expensive. I saw their display at rc Willie, $600 drip coffee maker, $380 toaster, $600 toaster oven. I wish I could post pictures of the crazy stuff I install.
You could use a "hostess trolley" or convert one to fit. My grandparents had a Ekco Royal when i was a child, wpuld only get used a couple of times a year at most for things like christmas dinner

Hopefully a cook too or atleast a decent cookbook 😂🤘
There you go.
And you can set the over to keep warm too and do the exact same thing
You could buy like 5 microwaves with that amount
Imagine paying 2k for that drawer but then you have a roach infestation 🗣🗣🔥🔥
It's a warming drawer, you have one in your kitchen. It's the drawer under the oven. Buy 2-3 SS containers & done.
