yes, you don't need to disconnect the keyboard at all, just don't touch it from the moment you start the game, use your controller O button instead of enter to skip intro and everything, don't touch your keyboard until you're done setting everything up at all

Solution worked for me! It was weird because I was using the DS4Windows tool to also use a PS4 controller which still crashes the game when pressing buttons in the Wireless Controller menu. As my keyboard was unplugged I was able to change controls for my SFIV Tournament Edition Stick (MVC version). Thanks for the workaround! Hopefully they fix this soon.
If you want to leave buttons to default and just change negative edge etc, you can use your keyboard to navigate there and it automatically switches over to keys. When your done, back out to options and press a button on your controller again. It'll automatically switch back.

pandamanana bad port once again by *High Voltage*, this game needs a bunch of patches to fix a lot of weird stuff going on right now, choppy frame rate, Low Usage of GPU, and extremely High usage of the CPU, random crashes without no error msg, this thing in the video, memory leak, and the list goes on........ BUT, under all this shit, i'm having a lot of fun in this game... :3

im using a thrid party controller designed like a ps controller. the problem is when i map 1=x ,2=y and so on, when i press the button it does the move i want it to but on the input screen 1=y,2=x and so on i can work with it like this but it will get annoying over time when i want to learn new characters does anyone else have this problem ?

I use PS3 Madcatz TE Stick . I was having the same problem fix / solution use DS3 Tool download the driver and resolve the problem. But I'm having FPS Drop when pausing the game on Offline then you wait and run again at 60FPS flawless but if pause again FPS Drop to 20.

Figured out myself after one hour haha.
Sometimes the game does not regconize the preset and u have to go in to preset once.
