@@BlueMonkey_YT The lighting of gmod is too dark compared to the original Mario 64 style, especially in Mario 64 areas. You can clearly tell in cases like this
Comparison wise the remastered may have better animation, yet the original feels better quality. For example simplicity does play a key role, as in there are times things don't need to be moving or given a sound effect. Think of an action movie, you're there for the fighting scenes right, but in every scene and scenario there's a fight that takes place to where it just feels overdone so when key moments come it is poorly executed. Basically you got to know when to speak and to just let things play out Another is models, where original video used the N64 model as the default for majority of scenes and would use the Gmod for either more expressive or comedic scenes which works really well in both cases, but in modern videos they are swapped with everything now in Gmod and rarely anymore N64 so when a comedic scene comes up, it just feels like now you're just shaking them violently or stretching their faces and gluing sound effects to make it funny which just feels weird
The remaster is actually good but there's something about it that feels off. It's like whenever it cans, it puts exaggerated faces as if they made it funnier. I think they just weaken the comedy effect of it because one reason they're funny is because you're not expecting them and feel natural when they do because they complement the joke but when literally every scene has one it completely loses the point. I feel like it's trying to be funnier than the original and it just doesn't work for me.
4:20 remastered: higher pitched version ned flanders scream
original: anonymouse girl scream sound effect
If I had to choose between the original and the remake, I would have chosen the original
Way, WAYYYYYY to much gmod in the new one. Also, he took a couple of the funniest jokes out cause they were “too far”

A G'Mod model appears and it's not funny, it's more like "Yeah, I know, that's how he looks 99% of the time, it's no shocker"
