I found out that when I ran budget gear I died more frequently and would buy more gear. When I used better gear I would survive more fights and collect more quality gear. I'm at a point now where I run quality armour, but dress as a scav. My kit might cost 200k to run, but I'm running raids like a scav and pulling 1m+ often. If I get 3 raids put of one set of gear I've turned 200k into 3-4m. I also like the protection I get from player scavs. I will wiggle at them. They wiggle back, and then I shoot them in the head and steal their loot. Its actually the most fun I have playing the game
Weirdly enough I thought about this the other day, although I run good gear and don't care, I think for me the mentality is "well this dude lost it to me using an mp5 so why bother risking it"
i dont run good gear because it has no effect on my survival rate except for ammo/gun, only exceptions are face shields or that riot helmet because scavs and bosses wont target your head anymore
Fuck gear, how do I get rid of solo anxiety and constant feeling of impending doom 😂 been playing casually since 2020 and I find myself staring at the main menu until I alt+f4, in every raid I jump at every noise and have a constant feeling of having a crosshair on my head, especially as a level 20 mid wipe
I totally get that, They should add "Horror" to the game's genre! But it definitely gets better in time! You definitely get used/numb to it! But you'll still jump from time to time! Especially those silent scavs haha!
I disagree with these points, you can embrace the scav life- sell whatever you find, keep what you can't sell on the flea market. you can kill meta geared people with ease while wearing no gear at all. (except if they cheater, then you doomed)
I don't disagree with this at all, but this was more directed at people WITH gear fear. If you're happy running lower end kits, that's awesome, but if you've got a meta gun sat in your stash and worried about losing it, hopefully this video will help others get past it
Goddamn, didn't think you had the editing chops to make that rouble countdown animation at 0:30 you've come a long way man, great to see it
Hey I'm proud of that little coding! 👀😂
The headshake at the streets joke… you knew how bad it was lol
It took me a wipe or 2, but slowly just desensitised to losing gear - Happens enough 😂

Set yourself small goals to push into each raid, Push your boundaries and you'll slowly get more comfortable! :)
I take a little bit of LSD prior to playing. It enhances these emotions. I like it.
