The main difference between the overall EU elections and situation in France seems to be that the centre has disappeared in France as a significant force. How far to the left is the anti RN alliance? If they are really far to the left, many centre/centre right people who used to vote against RN in round two will likely choose them as a lesser evil. Throw in the rioting that will inevitably happen if RN does well or there's no clear governing coalition, we'll be in territory that hasn't been seen since the 1936 Spanish elections.

French representative forgets that if Russia wins that war in Ukraine the EU nations will have to pay a HIGHER price for defending a longer border with Russia. Its just bad foreign policy to follow his agenda. It would also increase the amount of asylum seekers in Europe because more Ukrainians would flee towards the EU and Poland is already overrun. Ignoring the problem doesn't fix it.
@@WingkKong There is no peace... Ukrainians do not accept Russian influence. What you are saying makes absolutely no sense. Ukrainians will flee towards EU if Russia wins its that simple.
Hopefully! If that's what the people want, then so it should be! Isn't that "democracy?" The same "democracy" that France24 is trying so hard to protect? 😂
This guy looks like an animatronic. Quoting historical figures that would be ashamed of the sad excuses for politicians we have now. Stop trying to undermine the democratic process. If the nation chooses to be conservative, then so be it. You journo shills can find new day jobs.
How dare citizens to vote and select their representatives ?
What ? Nobody is preventing anyone to access power, get off you tinfoil hat
The voters have spoken. Politicians need to respect the result and not seek to diminish democracy.
You do know the Pro EU parties won the election right? sure the right wing grew but they dint "win"
too much talking and no action in the name of interest of country inhabitants, just interest of super rich and corporations.

Hopefully the right will transform Europe ... very soon.
not far right but right
That’s how they try to put down conservatives. You never hear extreme far left.

Study European history
You keep the peace
By respecting others great powers interest
Not by treat them as small country in the middle east

As soon as logic kicks in the host has to go to commercial or the whole narrative will collapse.
he's still correct
English isn’t his native language but his point is correct.
A true genius that guy.
This whole political movement shows that real Europeans wants to stop financing the Ukraine war and rather helping themselves and mind their business.
Hopefully, the French will resist the extreme right as they've managed in the past. Macron is right-wing enough as it is.

Douglas so useless propagandist. This is not journalism, but paid. Shame.
Good geo-political lesson for the interviewer "ukraine not in Europe..not Frances war"
lets hope so. because far right is much better than current far wrong policies.
There's wars elsewhere. He is right, why Ukraine and not others.
You've even brought in a Macronist to the studio.
