Nazgul - Ive been playing the game for over 17 years with multiple Odinsong's across several servers :D , and to see a new channel promoting the game is awesome to see. Im enjoying the Wraith dynamic on Mordor and the improved performance. Long may the game continue :)
Being new to the game, it's all fun and hopeful. The Legendary servers are what attracted me (outside of just LoTR itself) and it's been a blast. Community has been great... Nazgul.
nazgul thanks for the update Legendary servers (like WoW Classic) are what brought me into the game, as the "retail" version is just so large and complicated now. It's nice learning the game from the beginning, more or less, and I'm really enjoying my warden on Angmar
It's all exciting and happy the game is still going strong! For me I think the server upgrades and game performance fixes would be the most important, bc it was the main reason why I drifted away from the game, especially playing from Eu, the constant lag and stuttering would kill the mood for me every time I came back to the game.
Please please do that UI update. I dont care as much about the world graphics. Its good and has a quirky character to it. But i really want the UI to be legible and crispy
No Level Cap Increase with the Legacy of Morgoth Expansion. If there is another Level Increase it'll likely happen in 2025 and with the 2025 Expansion.
Mordor is the only EU-based server, but it is a progression server so it will take months for new content to unlock. Like a Classic Server. This means every 3-4 months a new expansion would be released. If you rather play at your own pace and have access to all 17 years of content, then normal servers are recommended.
Ive never played lotro in my life until about 2 months ago . Tried it on the legendary server and its quite fun, the only issue i see is the end game content. There isnt much of it and I dont think anyone plays T1 anymore, so its quite hard to get into it if you have to start on T2, without gear its impossible. So the community could be a bit nicer for new players , it seems there is a bit of gatekeeping when it comes to endgame.
It's possible you were unlucky with your first attempts at finding groups. I would honestly keep trying, or even join a friendly Kinship that helps new players, there's quite a few!
@@RangerHaz im in my 2nd kinship now, but most people are now geared up and playing harder content, most of them are on T3, the only way to do something is either wait for alt runs or try to organize it yourself. Ill try to find some that are on my level of experiance
@@TheDowness To be fair it was originally not named Lord of the Rings Online but Middle-earth Online & supposed to come out in 2004. The previous version of that was supposed to be out even before such and could have been far closer to 2000. So not wrong there in terms of looking like something from the time period or close to it. Also that's mostly "Early LOTRO" from Content original to the game. Visually (Art Style) lots of modern content especially for years now has a day & night difference for how it looks.
I want to play this game so bad but the graphics on 4k is undoable for me. I get a headache from eyestrain trying to read the font or see stuff in bags so I dropped down to 1080p but then the graphics look like crap. I just cant deal with that.
If you have Nvidia Graphics Card you can use their Image Upscale option while being on 1080p Resolution and it will scale up the graphics to 4K but keep the UI scaled. That's how I do it at least for the moment!
LOTRO is 100% Free to Play. One does not need any form of upfront payment to play LOTRO. In fact one can never spend any money and play, it just takes "time to earn LOTRO Points" to unlock Content but is doable. The Content from 2007 (Launch) to 2013 (Helm's Deep) or Level 1 to 95 is fully available to all Accounts. After that one needs to use LOTRO Points (earned finished Deeds or Money) or a VIP Subscription to get Content past Helm's Deep (Level 95). Latest Expansion for the first 6-ish Months is always Payment-only but becomes available for LOTRO Points after that 6-ish Months but doesn't include extras like Cosmetics, Classes, Races, etc. that might be apart of said Expansion.

UI Work is happening but there is no ETA for UI Updates to begin rolling out as of October 2024.

They've always been doing updates for LOTRO, they've had a bigger focus on Updates for anything & everything in more recent years.
