I'm an emerging videographer from Zambia, Southern Africa. I've been following your channel for two months now and all I can say is, you're amazing Ross. I intend to take advantage of the courses you offer soon.
Can't wait for the webinar. I literally have clients waiting to get on a content retainer but I want to learn how to do it correctly first. So excited!
Ross, your videos are great and I’ve recently enjoyed watching old and new ones. Just a quick question, what industries do you find want constant content and therefore the retainer and RCP process works best?
Just found your page and it has great content. Thanks for sharing. I tried to find out more about the RCP, any insight for this since the webinar has past. Thanks so much!
Amazing content! It makes a lot of sense and I will definitely start applying this strategy as my work has been very unstable. How do you first approach a potential client? Can't wait to watch next weeks video. Much love
Hey!! Ah thanks so much! The best thing is to work with them on a single project and then approach them by asking if they need more content this year. If so, think of a contract 😊👊
@@RossWelch Thanks for the reply. One question: Is you main method you use for reaching out to potential clients through email? I feel like that is what they may prefer the most so they are not on the spot?
Hey Ross, thank you so much for these videos they are so helpful! I'm currently building the website for my company and want to have there the profiles of freelancers, from filmmakers to scriptwriters, voiceovers, etc to give the sense that all the talent is in-house and not outsourced. In general, do you think this is a good idea?
Hey! In honesty, I don't think the freelancers will be willing to do that. Also you'd be in a sticky place if one of them accidentally mentioned their business or had a sticker on their camera or something. It's not a bad idea but it largely depends on how willing the freelancers are. Maybe call it "our extended team" rather than making it look in house. 😊
Great question, I wouldn't suggest starting in a specified niche unless you have previous experience. I would recommend building a portfolio around topics or things that you are passionate about to begin with. 😊
Hey Ross, we do know that when shooting an event, it'll take hours worth of video. For example, in a 4hr long shoot, how much duration should be invested in the final edit?
I am young and don’t know how to get practice making videos as I am only 14 and am not sure how to start practicing things and getting jobs please help
@@notBenSmith thanks. Yeah I’m tryna justify if I should get one or just use Google sheets. I can see the benefits of one just from using this free trial But at the same time I’m like is it really worth it.
Hey Jordan! @shbeeb is correct. We just use a simple Google sheets doc! You can also take a look at active campaign or sales force but unless you're pushing sales really hard, it might not be worth it 😊
I clicked on the video as soon as I saw it in my feed! Amazing content Ross. Thank you once again!🙂🙌
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! It's a game changer for sure 👊🙌

Hey! I'd estimate around 1 to 2 days depending on their requirements 👌
Isn’t working anymore the free trainer
Interested in the pricing structure per client...... Do you have a video on that already??
Hey! I have an older video on this but I'll recover it at somepoint for sure!
