Ok #1 thing, great that Ellis didn't make Elgin aware that he was on to him. All they had to do was let Elgin leave colony house and FOLLOW HIM! So simple😅
That’s it’s true , so pointless to hurt naive Elgin . Boyd forgives Sarah ( after all her killings) , yet goes so hard after Elgin for his murderer daughter in law . The show spent this season showing us Boyd has changed , he will do anything for his family instead of what is best as a leader .
47:20 I agree with you. It's like a different writer completely ignored Jade's character construction in this episode. First the wildly woo-woo interpretation of thermodynamics from a science buff, now a genius who happens to be a musician doesn't think about music even though he had already figured it was a docadecimal system. 😅
My first theory about that was perhaps her brother that passed in another timeline, but was turned into one of the monsters, but their timelines or universes were all wibbly wobbley and not linear like we experience life. We were all on the right path of thought though.
I bet she ends up story walking a lot going forward. I bet she goes back to before the children's sacrifice at some point, meets that one monster before he's a monster and tries to change the story by getting him to stop, but it doesn't work and that's why it taunts her in the first episode.
Julie is going to be the one that goes back in time and tells them a story. And she tells them the story of the Cromenockle and all the people that are chosen are the kids choosing heroes from the story. And the trick will be to figure out what their role is within the story.
I think Smily was reborn because "he was immortal". Even Fatima said that they sacrificed children for immortality. And I think that's why he was reborn, the "curse" of this place allowed it.
Yes and we can confirmed that also with what Jade said about the first law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can change form from one to another. Their thoughts, memories and souls are made of energy and that energy stays in Fromville (total energy in the isolated system remains constant). This applies to monsters as well.
I just wanted to thank you for the best quality rundowns of each episode. When FROM first began, I was not picky. I basically just clicked on whatever recap came up first in the RUclips list. But about halfway through Season 3, I was totally sold on your particular subscription. You go into far more detail, and are much better at predicting. Plus, I really love your accent. :) Thanks, and I'll see you next season.
I think Fatima was suppose to be Smileys first meal and was suppose to die, but because she was saved in time, someone else had to die. Boyd had gotten the weak picture of his house from kimono lady to deter boyd from finding out where fatima was from Elgin and If sarah never did that, fatima would still be in that cellar with the hatch open where the monsters were. Kimono lady was like a midwife and only cared that the monster be born in the dark. Fatima wasnt suppose to make it out alive
I don't think so. The monsters haven't outright lied so far, and they were promised she would live. Maybe for them "live" means they might eat her or might not but the birth and delivery themselves would leave her whole. Fatima had a role to fill, now she can be discarded to the town.
So a shot in the dark but I think Julie goes back in "time" and ends up writeing Flight of the Cromenockle to help Ethan remember what he needs to break the cycle. Congrats for the birth of your son. I'm glad he didn't turn into Smiley :)
I'd love this but I think she can only work within the timelines of the town(?) If she wrote that, and it was a known book to the wider world, how would it have got out of the town to become well known? Unless someone that got out of the town, wrote it, and fictionalised the story to talk about the town and events so people didn't think they were crazy. They would hope that someone that ended up in the town had read it (Ethan in this case) and recognised it as a 'guide' to work out the mysteries of the place and not a fictional piece? I hope it happens though because thats a great idea!
@@JayTaylorXI maybe Eloise escaped when her mother got attacked she hid in the tree somehow made it back to the real world and wrote the book we now know that it isn't confirmed that she died which is what I've been saying since the beginning
I can see the influence from Dr Mabuse and also Carcosa, hastur the yellow king. Hastur might be fighting with half brother (boy in white) for control of this realm.
I wonder if the name Rendez Move is just a play on the word, "rendezvous," meaning agreed meeting or meeting place. Maybe residents are just doomed to repeatedly, 'rendevous' in Fromville.
When the man in yellow said that knowledge requires sacrifice, he reminded me of Odin and his ravens, and that he hung himself from a tree to learn magic, and also sacrificed an eye to become wiser...
The story of From reminds me a lot of Silent Hill. In Silent Hill there was a cult who wanted to summon god. They looked for a perfect vessel to give birth to the god. The leader of the cult chose the daughter of one of the cult members, Alessa, because she was pure and had special powers. The ritual was unsuccessful, Alessa almost died in a fire, but her powers were unleashed. Alessa was in terrible pain, but she was kept alive. Her pain and nightmares in combination with her powers and some ancient powers of the town created this "otherworld" in which the nightmares of Alessa, but also the nightmares of the people who visited the town, come to live. For example, Alessa was afraid of her peers, who bullied her, that's why we saw monsters which resembled children. And she read a fairy tale in which there was a scary monster, and this monster became a boss in the game. Maybe fromville is like this otherworld in Silent Hill - the children, who were sacrificed, created this world and their fears came to live.
I think the rendez-move is a play on the word rendezvous, the meaning being-a meeting at an agreed time and place. if that's not Fromville then idk what is! Also-CONGRATS on becoming a dad! So exciting! Now we'll be waiting another year+ for season 4😂
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BABY!! Yay!🎊 and many many thanks for all your efforts you put into each of your videos. I so appreciate all you do for all of us who listen and watch. Keep up the exceptional work. 😊
Yeah Fatima got pregnant in the same episode as smiley dying. So it’s kinda obvious that they planned it. But they did waste a lot of time in season 3 on her pregnancy. Could’ve done it all in 3 episodes
@AfriqueNY You wildin!!! I didn't say he wasn't a fan-fave! I'm saying he wasn't brought back because of it. He was brought back because the monsters were promised immortality for sacrificing the kids. It's the plot of the show!
Wow I'm truly impressed with how thorough and concise your analysis is every time. Great video as usual and huge congrats on the birth of your offspring!
I think the talismans are forming a barrier around the town as one big talisman against the man in yellow. That's why Future Julie wanted her father to go back to the town before Man in yellow showed up to kill him but it looked like man in yellow arrived early because he knew about future Julie's plan. Man in yellow talked to Julie about the price of knowledge and it sounds like he had interacted with Julie before when she goes time traveling to change something or find out something. it does seem like this moment with Julie wasn't the first time, man in yellow did sounded like he was tired with Julie fighting against him.
@@AfriqueNYI don’t think so. I think that the man in yellow is a bigger deal than anything we’ve seen/met yet in the show and he didn’t feel the need to get involved more directly until they figured out the bottle tree and jade and tabitha started to remember their pasts. Before that, they hadn’t figured out enough stuff for him to directly involve himself. Like he said knowledge comes at a price. Now everything they figure out gets them much much closer to their end goal of getting out and stopping the cycle .
@TheMedwards2 that's what they said but look back at any urban legend and how much they change over the years. my thoughts are they only want us to think that.
Now that Jim died in the daytime; Boyd doesn't have to tell the town that Fatima killed Tillie. Maybe they will stop suspecting a fellow town member for her murder.
I think that cicadas 3 are tormented because they do not follow the scrip of time loop/time paradox. Once Julie follow her part she was better, Randal have to do it too.. Mariel might be doing it in secret tho... Thing about time and paradox, what happened have to happen..so the future can happen...Meaning Julie had to go to the ruins so she could time glith....storytravel and help Boyd..so Boyd can get out and get infected with worms, kill Smiley and for cicadas to be born and released and for cicadas 3 to be taken.....and they had to be freed so they can do it all over again, and who knows how many things they have to do. This is why Randal is being tortured, he refuse to follow his part. He did carved those faces that look like scarecrow, maybe his part is connect to that? Just a theory, but I have a strong feeling about it.
Im hoping that in the next season we will see future Julie talking to Ethan in the diner. It seemed so strange how they showed us that weird scene when Ethan went to the toilet before Boyd announced Fatima's disappearance. Thank you for another great video! no one else looks at so many details!
What an episode! What a review! We've been complaining a lot this season because we analyse everything and we want all the answers, but this show is amazing
Remember that It told Jim over the phone that his kids are not his anymore. Maybe that explains why she sees the toys on the tower and that's why Ethan is forgetting things? They're preparing them?
When the man in yellow says information has a price, then kills jim, i think this is what happened when the boy in white told Christopher, the price was the whole town, that's why he wont help again
Oh Igor, I’m SO sorry about your dog!!! Losing a pet is absolutely devastating!!! CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your son!!! I’m a boy mom… 2 sons, and they are the absolute light of my life!!! Enjoy the ride Papa!!!!! Also… (you’re my favorite FROM creator❤)
You said you watch this show for riddles and working your brain. I think this is exactly why you and way too many people have failed to appreciate that the middle episodes in this season were actually masterful. You treat this show as if it's only a riddle, but it's just as much about the characters, their development, the psychology of it all as they go through this ordeal. If you fail to appreciate this part of the show, you not only miss out on that, but you ironically miss out on the true beauty of the "riddle" as the build up and themes that are elegantly woven in in the "slow pace" episode are an integral part of the real whole beauty of this show.
I agree 10000% I just had a conversation the other day with someone about how I could watch 1000 episodes of this show of just random characters existing and living everyday life in this town. As long as the characters are likable and being developed through relationships or some sort of storyline no matter how big or small. I referenced Igor on more than one occasion because he gets so upset and critical of the show when it’s not a constant puzzle for him to put together with new pieces being introduced. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying anything bad about him, I love this channel and he often restates the fact that he loves this show and will defend it forever but I agree with you that not every moment of every episode has to be building towards some crazy obscure twisted story to blow everyone’s minds. Sometimes we can just observe how the people are living and the smaller things that are going on that really make the characters feel real and alive, and give you a connection to them. I’m glad to see someone leave a comment like this!
I agree, they don't care about the characters or the story, it's all about chasing the high of figuring out a mystery. It works for movies but not for shows, you can chase the high of a mystery for a 2 hour movie and move on BUT for a show with multiple series over a period of years, it won't work. The show is great, it just has the wrong audience watching for the wrong reasons.😢
The man in yellow was talking to Jim not Julie, this is shown by right after him saying “I tried to warn you, your wife shouldn’t have been digging that whole” which goes off the previous statement implying he was talking to Jim the entire time
@ geek was one of the only ppl who thought this, who also has trouble with common English grammar because it’s not his first language. The second statement is a context/piggy “sentence” that needs a previous one to make sense. If you rewatch the scene he is literally moving his head while saying it, not directly looking at Jim nor Julie, who he’s talking to is clearly implied. Especially because he’s talking to Jim the entire time and what he said perfectly fits with what he’s saying… I really hope English isn’t your first language.
I think Boyd knew it was the town trying to manipulate them because Abby said she bought it...OR the writers don't want us to forget it because it's coming back.
@@muziseanbymuzitv maybe that's the photo of his house as it is now and Abbie is alived in the real world and took the boat out. Trying to tell Boyd that this is indeed a nightmare and the only way out is dying as she was saying.
I think Eloise escaped and is the one who wrote the Crominocle books based on her experiences in fromville and possibly from dreams she had after escaping. Crominocle and Ankooy are probably words from the original residents language.
Omg. A new baby boy ❤! How beautiful. Children are the most challenging and fulfilling blessing in the world. I’ve only been a mom for three years and I’ve already got three! They’re just so much fun 😂. Congratulations to you and mama! Labor and delivery of any kind is no small feat. Glad everyone is safe, happy and healthy. Thank you for sharing your wonderful news.
Я невероятно впечатлена вашим уровнем английского, Игорь! Связно анализировать серию на камеру на протяжении более часа и при этом так хорошо импровизировать - это не каждый носитель языка справится. Потрясающе!
I don't get it 58:27 why isn't there hope for jim? just because she found out that she's a reincarnation of someone it doesn't mean they can't be together. I don't get this statement. It's like you found out your wife and someone you know were married in a previous life and you stop loving her for that. it doesn't make sense.
I don't think he understands From represents the subconscious. The man in yellow kills Jim because the superego is resolving the Oedipus complex. The boy in white is the unconscious self The man in yellow is the superego Jim is the Oedipus complex The monsters are the original people who sacrificed their children, or a representation of repressed trauma, the skeletons in the closet are like monsters in the tunnels. The main characters are a mix of Jungian archetypes and complexes that have been stuck in a cycle. They are not exactly reincarnation, they are all different failed cycles. This cycle is different because the mind is remembering the true circumstances leading to the children being sacrificed. Everything has already happened before Act 1. There is no time travel or reincarnation, just memories, rediscovering the repressed memories from the fantasy that replaced them. That is why the key word is remember. Because a repressed traumatized mind doesn't remember how things actually happened, they remember things the way they want to, repressing the trauma and living in a fantasy.
Why put numbers in bottles and not just write the music? Why not just have the kids say " remember " instead of "anghkooey?" There's more than 1 farway tree, so how many times did the kids create the farway trees and are the fallen trees in the street fallen fawway trees?
It said the roots became the Faraway trees. It's like the cedars of Lebanon they are individual trees but they have subterranean root structure where they are all interconnected as if one entity.
You are the best! To go from the lows of losing your dog friend to the heights of your son being born and still you produced this video for our entertainment! Bravo! You must be so exhausted emotionally. I really appreciate your dedication. I truly love how you work in a little sprinkle of humour in your dialogue. One example of this is when you said Fatima was doing some 'planned parenthood ' when she contemplated performing a c-section on herself 😂. It took a beat to catch that and I belly laughed when I got it. We have to pay attention to your videos or we could miss out on hidden gems 👍. One more thing, I seriously think you do an amazing job on editing. Especially visually. The way you lay out the windows on your screen is so effective but not cluttered. Well done 👍 👏👏👏
18:43 angels are scary the way they’re described as looking is scary, not what people think angels look like. That’s why the first thing they say is fear not.
The thing with the monsters who are supposed to be the original people from the first cycle but still wearing clothes and looking like they are from a more recent period. Actually, if I remember it correctly, they are dress like they from the 70s - meaning, the previous cycle. Not just random period. What I’m saying is, obviously, all the people involved in the original sacrifice must have had to come back to the place over and over. So, when they died in this place or whatever, they were reincarnated as the monsters, but obviously already looking and dressed according to the time period. If you still don’t get what I mean: the latest cycle was the 70s. So…
There are so many similarities with "Lost": a sentient place (island - town), time travelling and manipulations with time in both series, a good guy in white (both series) and colors for characters. Maybe something else can be found in "Lost" that will help understand the mysteries of "From". I didn't realize until a few minutes ago after reading a comment here that Boyd is Michael from "Lost" )))
Problem with the monsters being parents of the kids, why when Julie first comes into town and they run to community house, one of the monsters was Julies age and knew her name and said dont you recognize me? He was way too young to be a parent that sacrificed a kid to live forever. So how could he have been turned into a monster?
Also why are they all dressed as if they're from the 1950s? even smiley and the town looks as if it's from the 1950s. we know it goes through Cycles the last cycle was in the 70s when Victor was a boy. why is there no 1970s stuff in the aesthetic? I did think that people like Sarah, Fatima, Boyd's wife, that the town gets to consume their minds are the ones that become the monsters. Which is what the priest was warning Boy about. But when the current cycle ends. that would have made a bit more sense than them being the original 1700s populous that now look like they're in the 1950s. Also why does smiley when he gets in the bus in season 2 pretend to drive as if he's reminiscing on a past memory. Little things like that is why I thought they were the people that did not escape Fromville in the last cycle.
@@The-Mstr-PookI don’t think it has to be the person’s actual child for them to gain immortality. Jade and Tabitha’s previous selves didn’t want their kid sacrificed, but the others did it anyway.
My opinion is I think everyone that lives in the town are the original settlers. If you remember tabitha said something like "the came and took our daughter" so I think the others in the town. (Donna, sara, fatima, kristi) and the others are maybe the original people who did sacrifice their kids but they can't remember like jade amd tabitha can because they choose not to and they are chosen to save them. As you know the town has a cruel way of messing with people. I think by "sacrificing your children you can live forever" I think maybe their soul is trapped with the town and they are reborn throughout history and return to the suffering of the town until the cycle is ended
It does seem that the monsters are immortal but not from the original time of sacrifice. The town seems like it was created by a child but not the angkooey kids. If the monsters are the trapped souls of those lured there, where are the original child sacrificers? It's mind boggling.
1st CONGRATS on your boy 🙌 2nd My condolensces for the dog 🌈 3rd Thank you for the amazing insights. I love your style and the true passion you bring to the channel 🤗
I like when you criticize the show. Thats the reason I started being a faithful watcher of your channel. Because it’s authentic and HONEST. Thats what I love about this channel. Don’t ever hold back.
Congrats on the newborn and thank you for putting this together. My wife and I are obsessed with From and since we discovered your channel we were waiting for your uploads. I also have to say that the quality and passion of the work you do is way much better than tons of content creators that do it “just because is trendy now”. Also, don’t be apologetic on criticism. Nothing is perfect and I believe that writers are reviewing these contents. I read through all the comments because I wanted to see if I had some original thoughts :) so here is mine. King in yellow, like chrominocle, are “stories in stories”. It’s that type of narrative trick where you tell a story within the story. The classic example is Pilatus’ story in the Master and Margherite. And basically we have been told that a story was told to the kids and they maybe created a world out of that story. The easiest way to tell a story to a kid is actually a lullaby. Lullabies are also usually loops (they continue indefinitely, maybe with small changes) and they are fill with monsters. To me it seems a big hint to the fact that the narration itself is the center to solve the mystery and to free the children. Maybe tell them the rights story, in which somebody comes and rescue them. The story within the story seems a common element. A story retold, with adaptations and new ideas, but with the same premises. A bit like lost and from, where a character reincarnated and keeps some elements (the strong bond with the son). Have you noticed that Ellis and Walt are only few years apart? (4 ) ? This might be a meta reference to the narrative theory.
The key to understanding From is knowing psychology and astronomy. Because the narrative is the sun's journey, best understood as Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey (one and the same), and the character's are a collection of complexes and Jungian archetypes best understood with cognitive maps. Whether the show goes into the direction of reincarnation or aliens or something else, these are all metaphors for the fact the show is representing the patterns within the subconscious of a repressed mind suffering trauma. The moment that seals it is the appearance of the man in Yellow, which represents the superego. Before we get there, the key word is remember, this is the clincher also. Everything has already happened, there is no time travel or reincarnation, there is just the loop of false memories the mind is stuck in, every archetype is just another failed cycle, not a reincarnation. This cycle is different, because they are remembering the repressed truth instead of living a fantasy. That's why the place is changing. The place is also changing because of the overall narrative. Jade playing music, using the energy of sound, the rebirth of the sungod during the winter solstice, the rebirth of Smiley, and the appearance of the man in yellow as Tabitha remembers the truth all happens simultaneously for reasons. Jade and Christopher embody the magician archetype just like Tabitha and Miranda are the hero archetype. The mind has been recreating archetypes to perform in front of the Big Other. Other characters, like Jim, are not archetypes, they are complexes (Archetypes are from the collective unconscious and complexes are from the personal unconscious) The Boy in white is the unconscious self and the monsters are the repressed trauma, the people responsible for the child sacrifices. The man in yellow is the superego and Jim wasn't real, he was the Oedipus complex. That's why they said they aren't your kids, that's why he staggered when he realizes he isn't real, that's why we have that flashback of him saying sometimes I remember when it wasn't like this. When Tabitha remembered the truth Jim (Oedipus complex) became irrelevant. The superego is a cruel, harsh and prosecuting force. The superego also emerges as a defense mechanism to resolve the Oedipus complex and represses the complex's strong feelings. That is why the man in yellow (superego) kills Jim (Oedipus complex). From is the stage in the subconscious, the Big Other, and the archetypes are performing in front of it to find the real circumstances leading to the children being sacrificed. For a comparison just look at Lynch's Lost Highway, the man in black is the superego and Mr eddy is the Oedipus complex. That's why it is the superego that shoots Mr Eddy while they are in Fred's subconscious and not the main character Fred killing Dick Laurent in real life. Because Mr Eddy/Dick Laurent didn't really exist, it was the superego resolving the Oedipus complex. That's also the reason we have the cryptic message "Dick Laurent is dead" at the beginning and end of the movie, because everything has already happened before Act 1. It is also representing the closed loop, the mobius strip, which is also what Julie and tge rope represents. We are just seeing the mind working out what is a real memory from what has been a fantasy or dream. And just like in real life, shedding light on darkness, unifying and recognizing your personalities and "Letting go" is the key message. It is the only way to raise your frequency to a higher level. Numbers = music = frequency = vibration = energy Understanding it is energy is more important than saying the numbers are music. We are all energy and emotions are energy in motion. If you are trapped in a low frequency it is like being trapped in a place full of monsters. When you shed light on your darkness, surrender and accept and let go your frequency will move to a higher level, and you have reached heavenly bliss, or surplus joy. The only time we are truly happy is when we are day dreaming about being happy.
Thank you, Igor. Here's what I got from the ending. There are two forces - one wanting to help them solve the mystery (the children and the boy in white) and the one wanting them to keep the loop going (the man in yellow, the voices, hallucinations, Polaroid camera). With the whole explanations at the end of the season, the voices wanted sarah to kill Ethan since he has some sort of knowledge that would help them find out what's going on. The kimono lady convinced Elgin to do what he did so Fatima could give birth to smiley. Abby's voice wanted Boyd to just give up. Father kathri kept trying to make Boyd think otherwise. The boy in white said "This is the only way" because that was the only way Tabitha could learn about Miranda and jog Victor's memories. The children want to help too. The next season is definitely going to be seriously interesting. The town basically doesn't want them finding answers. It doesn't want them to solve the mystery... Everytime they find out, everyone has to die so they don't give past questions.
You may not see this, Igor, but I have a take on Rendez-Move. First, CONGRATULATIONS! How amazing. I’m so happy for you. Continuing: It could be more, but I think Rendez-move is just a creative piece of symbolism that appears again and again as an Easter egg - but it’s important symbolism. It is a portmanteau of rendezvous and move. I looked up rendezvous in the Cambridge dictionary just to be thorough and accurate before commenting, and the meaning is more dead-on than I originally thought. Here are the two definitions for rendezvous: 1. an arrangement to meet someone, especially secretly, at a particular place and time, or the place itself 2. a place where a particular group of people often go or meet, by arrangement or habit. Rendez-MOVE, represented in literal form as a moving company, really says it all. It’s basically telling us the theme and basis for the entire show. The entity/entities of FROMville use people like pawns, moving them into town, out of town, or wiping them off the board entirely. But the main characters keep meeting different versions of the same key people over and over, as it has been pre-arranged, beyond their control. I really like the first definition as well. I don’t know if they ever do it consciously, but there’s a possibility that as the different versions of Tabitha & Christopher begin to remember who they are, they make a plan to meet again in Fromville again in order to fulfill their purpose. Or maybe they come to understand that if they fail, they will meet again to start over regardless. However, the major symbolism of Rendez-move is to convey that Fromville is a place where a meeting is arranged in advance for a group of people. The town or entities, move them into and out. Then the characters get to know each other and make their own plans to rendezvous within Fromville, to investigate little things on their own. LAST THING: it could be a coincidence, but I think it’s interesting that rendezvous/rendez-move sound very similar to deja vu. Not quite a rhyme, but nearly. Deja vu definitions: 1. A feeling of already having experienced the present situation. 2. Tedious familiarity. Tabitha & Jade are relentlessly assaulted by moments of deja vu as a result of repeating the same mission in Fromville over and over. For different reasons, we see Victor experiencing something similar to deja vu at times when a repressed traumatic memory is bubbling up near the surface of his consciousness, before he is fully aware. Both rendezvous and deja vu are extremely common, well-known terms that most Americans use on occasion. Of the various French words and phrases that we have basically adopted as a part of our American English vocabulary (many appearing in some American English dictionaries), those are two that are well-known and really stand out.
I predict Boyd doesn't meetup with the main cast until the end of season 4. Julie is John Conner, that's Amazing. she will save her dad. Kenny may have to kill Acosta somehow. Sahra may be hanging out with Donna, Ethan maybe kidnapped by Man in Yellow or Boy in White. Elgin will find Boyd maybe, lol. sorry rambling, but the show became so crazy anything can happen. Respect to the Fromily and Geekademy !
Rendez-move is a play on the French word rendezvous, pronounced like RON-day. I don’t think the Stevens had picked up their boat yet. They were headed from Petersburg, VA to the coastal town of Wilmington, NC, and Abby gave him the key on the way there. Maybe they were going to pick the boat up.
I did like how the writers did a call back to season 1, when Jim wrote on the wall the answer is 12. He was kinda right, regarding the 12 scales with music.
What Boyd said to Sara is not necessarily a mistake imo because while maybe Elgin did not tell Ellis that whatever was happening to Fatima would get them home, the Entity DID communicate with Sara before and it DID tell her that if she did something it would help get everybody home. Boyd suspected the same was happening with Elgin, he wasn't repeating verbatim what Elgin told Ellis. A problem I can't seem to get over is that I remember in the first episodes, one of the monsters approaches Julie and the Jim family and I think Julie says she remembered him from school. How does that work with what we know now about the origin of the "forest monsters"?
the smiley rebirth tis also going to be used to explain the clothing im sure smiley will be rocking some Balenciaga new design 2020 so that you know monsters just pick any clothing even if they are from 1509
I don't believe Victor about Eloise...I think he is STILL hiding things and I don't know why. We saw in the first season the monsters kill a child...Her face was very much intact ... Wah suh bout Eloise that they had to blend her up? For Elgin, It don't sit right with me what Boyd did and how everyone just let him do it. He gave Sarah the opportunity to do what she did and in the end Elgin was right. Fatima ended up being okay. And Elgin basically the one that got lobotomized. For Julie even though Ethan said as a story walker she can't change the story. We have already seen this proven wrong. Julie threw the rope. I mean what is the point of going through the story just to read it and not be able to rewrite it too? Season Finale was great. Reignited my hype for season 4.
Elgin was fooled into doing a. Evil act that brought back the leader of the monsters. They monsters kept Boyd alive because they needed Fatima. It was payback for smiley

I was thinking this the whole damn time. Like all of this could have been avoided and she would have been found faster 😂.
This would have made more sense. They probably would of gotten to Fatima faster.
It's an open space, the way to the cellar.
Congratulations on the birth of your Son! Talk about life's ups and downs!
As soon as I watched the finale I couldn't wait for your video to drop.
Congratulations on your new arrival 🥳 🎉❤ thank you for still taking the time for us!

47:20 I agree with you. It's like a different writer completely ignored Jade's character construction in this episode.
Kept refreshing your page waiting for this! 🤣
Same hahaha
Exactly,💯💯
same!
Yep, same
Real
Julie is going to be the one that goes back in time and tells them a story. And she tells them the story of the Cromenockle and all the people that are chosen are the kids choosing heroes from the story. And the trick will be to figure out what their role is within the story.
Oooo I like that one
I think this too!
No
@@rodrickhood yes
Maybe but it sounds boring
The Jade stuff makes enough sense to me. He's too hyper focused on a scientific solution and missed the thing that was right in front of him.
Yes. I think all of them are reborn one way or another because they are supposed to be immortal
Well ya lol, Fatima got pregnant the second Boyd killed Smiley..
Obvious
@@everything-beautiful I think Boyd is going to die there when they see him he's going to get a Parkinson's attack
Ion think he go die now then things need him are they would kill him wen they killed ken mom@@ChemicalEngineer275
@ unless old Victor’s mum wrote it after her mushroom trips?
The kimono lady tortured Elgin, he was sleep deprived. He was delirious.
Good catch on the sleep deprivation. He was even more susceptible to manipulation.
I can see the influence from Dr Mabuse and also Carcosa, hastur the yellow king. Hastur might be fighting with half brother (boy in white) for control of this realm.
Sarah getting results was great. I hope Donna can deal with what she did.
She is gangsta
I wonder if the name Rendez Move is just a play on the word, "rendezvous," meaning agreed meeting or meeting place. Maybe residents are just doomed to repeatedly, 'rendevous' in Fromville.
And place for rendezvous is a fromville😂
When the man in yellow said that knowledge requires sacrifice, he reminded me of Odin and his ravens, and that he hung himself from a tree to learn magic, and also sacrificed an eye to become wiser...
Elgin. The knowledge was that his angel was wrong. 😞
Jade's vision of a man with one eye drinking blood from a skull.
That was an interesting film
It does seem like the town and it's monsters were created from a child's mind. But a more modern child than the ankooi kids.
@@Jamesbull46lol film.. the games were good at least
I think the rendez-move is a play on the word rendezvous, the meaning being-a meeting at an agreed time and place. if that's not Fromville then idk what is!
Also-CONGRATS on becoming a dad! So exciting! Now we'll be waiting another year+ for season 4😂
I was thinking the same thing. Took me to how things repeat but are a little different each cycle
I already said that months ago
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW BABY!! Yay!🎊
and many many thanks for all your efforts you put into each of your videos. I so appreciate all you do for all of us who listen and watch. Keep up the exceptional work. 😊
Yes! I was waiting for you to drop the breakdown. And congrats on becoming a dad 🎉🩵
I don't think Smiley being reborn had anything to do with the fans. It was part of the script. Filming wrapped many, many months ago.
You Wildin. Smiley is a cash cow!!! He is on all the damn posters!! He will be on tshirts and toys for Christmas soon
Yeah Fatima got pregnant in the same episode as smiley dying. So it’s kinda obvious that they planned it. But they did waste a lot of time in season 3 on her pregnancy. Could’ve done it all in 3 episodes
@AfriqueNY
You wildin!!! I didn't say he wasn't a fan-fave! I'm saying he wasn't brought back because of it. He was brought back because the monsters were promised immortality for sacrificing the kids. It's the plot of the show!
@AfriqueNY you're just proving the point. He was never going nowhere he was always meant to be a staple in the show
I agree.. some folks are taking too much credit.. he was always meant to be a staple
Wow I'm truly impressed with how thorough and concise your analysis is every time. Great video as usual and huge congrats on the birth of your offspring!
the universe is in tune with you. you lost your dog and then gained a son. love you and your great sense of humor.
I watched Jades rant and knew it'd be used bc we all feel the same way! Haha. Great episode and breakdown!
Jade was all of us 😂
and also julie telling her father to run to town implements that the man in yellow cant step inside town
Because they played the song in the forest. Thats why man in yellow shows up in the forest
@@r.c.7779 so the song releases the man in yellow. A day walker monster
The conscious is always the smaller circle inside a bigger one, like an Island in the middle of the sea...
OHHH YOUR A GENIUS!!🤯
idk man julie could tell her father that the guy in yellow is a monster, so he could run away instead of challenging him
"Once the story is written, it can't be changed "...whatever Julie does or says Jim will always, most likely die...sad
That was probably her first time meeting the man in yellow. All she will know was her dad got his throat ripped out by RV during the day.
such a brutal death too
@TheMedwards2 that's what they said but look back at any urban legend and how much they change over the years. my thoughts are they only want us to think that.
It's possible she didn't know specifically about that
Now that Jim died in the daytime; Boyd doesn't have to tell the town that Fatima killed Tillie.

Dude. I’ve been checking for this video like every hour. you were killing me with that wait. Lol.
Congratulations on the newborn!! Thank you for taking time to do this video
Remember that It told Jim over the phone that his kids are not his anymore. Maybe that explains why she sees the toys on the tower and that's why Ethan is forgetting things? They're preparing them?

You said you watch this show for riddles and working your brain. I think this is exactly why you and way too many people have failed to appreciate that the middle episodes in this season were actually masterful. You treat this show as if it's only a riddle, but it's just as much about the characters, their development, the psychology of it all as they go through this ordeal.
If you fail to appreciate this part of the show, you not only miss out on that, but you ironically miss out on the true beauty of the "riddle" as the build up and themes that are elegantly woven in in the "slow pace" episode are an integral part of the real whole beauty of this show.
I agree 10000%
I just had a conversation the other day with someone about how I could watch 1000 episodes of this show of just random characters existing and living everyday life in this town.
I actually prefer the narrative and astrological motifs over everything else. But I prefer to analyze than theorize.
How cringe telling people how they have to feel about something lol.
Зачем следить за персонажем, если его выпелят в конце сезона?)
The man in yellow was talking to Jim not Julie, this is shown by right after him saying “I tried to warn you, your wife shouldn’t have been digging that whole” which goes off the previous statement implying he was talking to Jim the entire time
He looked directly at julie while saying that. Just because it’s the next line does not imply the other line is meant for jim as well
@ geek was one of the only ppl who thought this, who also has trouble with common English grammar because it’s not his first language.
Congrats for the baby🎉
So happy for you and I have been waiting for you to update ❤
I thought Boyd never saw the boat at the house? They were on the way to the house when they surprised him and told him they bought it.
Exactly.

The boy in white is the unconscious self
The man in yellow is the superego
Jim is the Oedipus complex
The monsters are the original people who sacrificed their children, or a representation of repressed trauma, the skeletons in the closet are like monsters in the tunnels.
I will be hanging around for your other analysis. I am especially excited about Severance.
Why put numbers in bottles and not just write the music? Why not just have the kids say " remember " instead of "anghkooey?"
There's more than 1 farway tree, so how many times did the kids create the farway trees and are the fallen trees in the street fallen fawway trees?
Absolutely. With eyes. Lots, and lots, of eyes. Everywhere.
So…
Except the town the Diner and the fashion of the monsters are of the 1950s not the 1970s
I'm not seeing 70s monsters.
You hit the nail on the head with that intro😂 I was sooo glad they gave some answers. The man in yellow is going to be my new favorite
Congratulations on the new baby! that's wonderful news!
That's something season 4 needs to address early on, in my opinion.

Congratulations on your new baby!! I have a feeling you'll be an awesome dad!
Excellent analysis, and LOVE the How I Met Your Mother clip you threw in there! I LOVE that show! It’s my fave!!
Congratulations on your Kid man! Happy for you
The key to understanding From is knowing psychology and astronomy.
Other characters, like Jim, are not archetypes, they are complexes (Archetypes are from the collective unconscious and complexes are from the personal unconscious)
The Boy in white is the unconscious self and the monsters are the repressed trauma, the people responsible for the child sacrifices.
Numbers = music = frequency = vibration = energy
Understanding it is energy is more important than saying the numbers are music.
❤
“Not ankooying Thomas anymore” bahahahahaah i actually laughed out loud
Congratulations on the birth of your son! Happy for you! Keep up the great work. Love watching your vids
Igor, I hope you’re doing better from your last From episode breakdown.
Great job this episode! Best one yet!
Here are the two definitions for rendezvous:
1. an arrangement to meet someone, especially secretly, at a particular place and time, or the place itself
2. a place where a particular group of people often go or meet, by arrangement or habit.
Deja vu definitions:
Of the various French words and phrases that we have basically adopted as a part of our American English vocabulary (many appearing in some American English dictionaries), those are two that are well-known and really stand out.
thanks for your great coverage of From!! love your honesty and enthusiasm😀💚 and Congrats on the birth of your son!!!
I needed your enthusiasm so much!!!!!!!

Thank you!
CONGRATULATIONS!! You’re going to be an awesome dad! I’m so happy for you and your family.
Im happy your feeling better !!
Great intro! Thank you for the video! 👍🏻
Elgin is 100% NOT dead
Aye - I think he will be a very different character next season (hopefully 😂)
Yea notice the civil war soldiers had eye patches
He is fine. If you live, Fromville heals you pretty quick. I mean Jim could heal too…anything is possible.
Yeah he had an eye opening experience @@onethingafteranother
@@haoxus9413 for sure, he'll never look the same way again...
Thank you for all season reviews!! The best on youtube!
Congratulations on becoming a father!! Very happy for you
Rendez-move is a play on the French word rendezvous, pronounced like RON-day.
I don’t think the Stevens had picked up their boat yet. They were headed from Petersburg, VA to the coastal town of Wilmington, NC, and Abby gave him the key on the way there. Maybe they were going to pick the boat up.
I told him that about the wired months ago and he's still saying it wrong.
I did like how the writers did a call back to season 1, when Jim wrote on the wall the answer is 12. He was kinda right, regarding the 12 scales with music.
Now we know why the monster and Martin both knew julie...
Julie never mentions the monster who spoke to her.
the smiley rebirth tis also going to be used to explain the clothing im sure smiley will be rocking some Balenciaga new design 2020 so that you know monsters just pick any clothing even if they are from 1509
Thank u for your version of the lullaby 😂 I can’t quit laughing.
Congrats on your son, what a blessing to grow your family.
can't wait for the theory video(s), awesome job!
For the calendar question mark, since it is the day after march 31st, then it is April fools day. LOOOOL
Great analysis, I really enjoyed watching it. Greets.
I don't believe Victor about Eloise...I think he is
STILL hiding things and I don't know why. We saw in the first season the monsters kill a child...Her face was very much intact ... Wah suh bout Eloise that they had to blend her up?
For Elgin, It don't sit right with me what Boyd did
and how everyone just let him do it.
Congratulations on becoming a father 🎉🎉 a show I’ve been watching while waiting for from episodes is Haven, not sure if any other subscribers like that one but I’ve really been enjoying it and you may too!
Congratulations to you and your wife/partner and the new arrival of your son! A joyous occasion.
