I heard that activating the extended ram feature will only shorten the life of the smartphone, because the ufs work is getting heavier. I think the default 8gb ram is enough for everyday.
Yes it may be true, especially if the phone has 8GB or 12GB, like mine. It's also true that having this much ram, even if extended ram is activated, ufs storage will not used as much, as 12GB of Ram are difficult to fill

@ i ordered the 12gb version of poco f5 and i think 12 is more than enough so goan disable ram extension, cause i think I've seen somewhere games\emulations can stutter becose of it

In my opinion it worth it. It's a complete package, at a good price, with focus on Speed. For my use the camera, which has OIS, is more than enough
Compare it with Moto edge 40 because of both phones are similarly priced here

Ram Extension will rekt your internal storage. Which is already too small for pre installed os, future OS and app updates amd your personal files. Since it lacks a micro sd card slot.

I think hardware issues only occur in the poco x series and not f so its fine

To me the last is unuseful...the last point is to download and install Arnova GCam porting
Nice guide but sadly this phone is a huge letdown for me because of 1 major flaw.. there is no Notification LED and the AOD only lasts for 10 seconds so if you get any message or anything and you miss it by 11 seconds you will never know.. Im kinda shocked that this is even a thing its like the 10 amendments of what a phone must have !

Actually the thing with this is that in the previous 2-3 years, poco had consistent motherboard issues and many of these arose from updating to the new patch.

@@whynot7044 i updated my phone and I noticed the performance start decreasing. don't get me wrong miui update can solve issues but its really buggy.
Now i'm using honor, updates work the way it should be.

No 1 and 2 is a no for me. Miui is known to have many bugs on their software update. And Ram extension only shortens life span of your storage.
