Such a beautiful moment. Any semblance of it just being a simple crush were completely done away with. Beau during this moment actually fell in love with yasha.
I'm not usually into shipping but I absolutely ship Yasha and Beau this whole moment just confirmed to me that I really wanna see these two together. After all, the 9 watched Beau and Yasha go on a romantic flight together and then they were absent for almost an hour as they found their way down the volcano together. I was half expecting Caleb to look over to Beau as he was saying that line, lol. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Yasha not knowing anything about her Aasimar abilities has certainly led to some interesting and nearly fatal moments. We know she's not the only one on the planet so she could have had a mentor or at least somebody in the party could have read a book about them or something.
Ngl, I docked the ship after Yasha revealed everything about Zuala cause it seemed like Beau was being respectful and backing off a lot. And then everything with Obann happened and Yasha was gone and Beau started crushing on Jester and it seemed like Beauyasha had lost all its momentum and wasn't gonna get it back. But then Yasha came back and Beau hasn't brought up the crush on Jester since -- though there have been some moments that have made me go hmmm ("You want me to grovel _right now_ ?" sounded like Beau would be totally willing, it's just the timing wasn't great) -- and then _this shit_ happened. Like wow. Amazing. Definitely put Beauyasha out to sea again for me. I would have been okay with Jester and Beau being a thing if it turned out that Jester developed feelings for Beau down the line, but now? There's something about liking someone and actually _knowing_ that they like you too that just having a crush can't compete with. I fully believe that both Beau and Yasha are aware that there's some mutual attraction going on between them that has the potential to run deeper. They're just not talking about it cause they're both historically bad at talking in general, especially to each other when they're alone. (Though they have come a long way and gotten a lot better.) Can't wait to see where the two of them go in the future.
@@AwesomeAsadaf I think Beau may have been projecting her feelings for Yasha into a crush on Jester, because in her absence Beau was clearly struggling. Also, she knew that she'd never have a chance with Jester, even admitting that it was more of a fantasy that she won't pursue. As for moments they've had since, let's remember: Beau and Jester were super-tight best friends even before the crush conversation happened, and platonic love is no less important than romance. But with Yasha, the feeling is mutual. They know there's something between them, and it's growing stronger. And yes, they're bad at talking about it because they're both scared of being vulnerable, but it doesn't mean they don't TRY to let their guards down. Remember their convo in the barbed fields and how they confided over losing their first loves? Yeah, they'll get there. They just need time to themselves where there aren't more pressing matters, and when the party's not waiting for them with bated breath. It's also why I'm glad they didn't dive (lol) straight to kissing. It just wasn't the time to do so yet.
I'll be honest. I love this scene, but I'm a little bit concerned about Beau and ramifications from this. In the beginning of the campaign, she was making passes at Yasha, but it seemed like "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" kind of flirting. Granted, she has had a TON of character growth, and who is to say actual feelings can or can't come from the pursuit. I'm also concerned because Marisha said Beau's intents were complicated, to say the least. There's the issue of Beau's first(ish?) relationship. She said it ended badly. Who knows if that messed Beau up enough to where she feels she doesn't deserve to be with anyone long term, kinda like Caleb? And then there's Beau's feelings for Jester. Is it a crush, or is there a possibility it could turn to more? Then there's Reani and Keg. I dunno if/when they come back, but that could be complicated, too. Though, with Keg, it seemed less serious on Beau's side. All I can say is, if this gets followed up on, Beau may need to do a bit of soul searching. I don't wanna see a fight between a monk and a scorned barbarian. Or embrace polyamory. That might work too.
Beau has been enamored with Yasha since literally this first episode of the campaign. Yeah, she’s had flings while she felt Yasha was unavailable just like every person that’s pursued a dream. But it’s clear where her heart is. She even gave Jester a thumbs up while she reveled in Yasha’s arms. Raini and Keg are flings, Jester is a fantasy, but Yasha is a soulmate. And consider Ashley’s last leading role: a war-torn tough-as-nails lesbian badass with an inner heart as soft as a teddy bear. Beauregard is all-in. She gets a woman she can respect and admire who privately has all the warmth and empathy she missed in her childhood. Yasha in the meantime gets a second chance with the blessing of her lost wife. If they DON’T play this out, I will be terribly disappointed.
@@nathanfreeman681 I'm with you. just look at Beau while Yasha explains how she does not understand what is happening. she was in love with her since the begining and it's the only character with whom she has flirted several times. it is canon, i mean, Beau is araused at the intro while looking at her. I honestly think Yasha is the part that Beau needed to be completed and viceversa. Keg and Reani are just a thing of one night and Yasha was never there, so she doesn't even know that has happened. it is so interesting to she them develop these feelings and falling for each other. I was waiting for a kiss when they were in the pool or at night in the village. I can not evade that comment that Marisha said when Matt asked if they wanted to do something while the party was ongoing: "there is so much but not today". I wish BeauYasha to be real and lasting. I have never seen something like this. it warms my heart.
Totally agree. As much as I like the ship, I think it's still a toss up right now. Early on in the campaign during a Talks, Marisha said that Beau is very much a hit it and quit it type of girl (at least back then). Initially, Beau was only really looking for one night as far as Yasha was concerned. The issue was that if it were to happen, Beau wouldn't be able to just leave afterwards. They would both still be traveling together and fighting together on a regular basis. Marisha compared it to not knowing whether one should hook up with a co-worker or not in case things got awkward later. That's the mentality Beau had with both Keg and Reani. Both times, they were going separate ways the next day, so I think Beau felt comfortable enough to go for it. It was never serious for Beau, meanwhile Keg and Reani started to fall for her in the short time they knew her. I think Beau's failed relationship with Tori (and of course all the complexes she developed as a result of her familial relationships) might be the reason for all that. I got the feeling when Beau was talking about her, that Beau hasn't had a serious relationship since Tori. We know Beau doesn't like being vulnerable (though she has been working on that and has gotten a lot better about it). We also know she, to some extent, thinks she doesn't deserve the good things that happen to her (she was so ready to give up everything to the hag because she thought what she had with the 9 and her accomplishments up until then -- like most good things in her life -- wouldn't last, so why not end them on her own terms). If she hasn't already, Beau would definitely need to address both of those things in order to have anything lasting with Yasha (or anyone, for that matter). Yasha is most definitely not a one night kind of gal and I'd hate to see something happen between them only to find out after the fact that Beau's still not looking for something serious. I don't think they would _fight_ about it, but Yasha would definitely be hurt and their relationship would take a turn for the more awkward if it were the case. As far as Beau's crush on Jester goes, I don't think that's going to go anywhere unless Jester also develops feelings for Beau and makes that known. Beau's crush on Jester was (is?) serious enough for her to freak out about even having it in the first place. Beau can deal with casual flirting and stuff like that, but actual feelings? Panic worthy. However, I think a couple things kept Beau from doing anything about it. 1: If she pursued Jester as a one night thing, there's the issue of the dynamic after. 2: If it was more serious than that (like the "I could be her beacon" line implied) Beau wouldn't want touch that with a 10 ft pole cause serious feelings and vulnerability are scary. 3: More than a little self deprecation. Nott made a good point that Jester's still figuring herself out and what she wants. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Jester to realize she likes women by realizing she likes Beau. If that's the case, the only reason Beau would view that as a fantasy is because she doesn't think Jester would ever like her in the first place. So yeah, I don't think anything would happen there on Beau's end unless an outside force prompted her.
Yasha fought for the first steps of her redemption, but her wife's blessing gave her wings. She used them to grab hold of someone she loves. Stole my whole ass heart.

So yeah, I don't think anything would happen there on Beau's end unless an outside force prompted her.
wow all that drama for just a minute of flight
Fuck D&D is so cool.
