Yeah, I saw it live. Twitch chat is annoyingly arrogant. They had no idea at all that the ghosts could have been friends till after Matt revealed it. Then retroactively jumped on marisha for it.
I don't read chat for that reason. Cheering on when they do something, then chastising them after the fact. They did try, and it wasn't like the ghosts were outwardly responding to the Nein. They were attacked first, and in a group that has ALWAYS been "shoot first, shoot again, then attempt to ask the dead bodies a question after," it would go against their nature to stop at that point.

For the record, I also immediately thought of Peter Pan when Marisha referenced Titanic. It took me like 5 whole minutes to realize she was talking about Titanic while they were all laughing about it then went to break.

Moments like these are what make D&D great. I remember talking to a friend of mine about a stupid idea I had for the necromancer wizard. I had figured out that a bag of holding could hold about 62 undead cats and was asking him about the plausibility of making such a thing in game. The best part is he actually started to try to figure out the combat mechanics for a bag of undead cats!!!
M9 surviving to level 12 has the same vibe as the baby from Baby's Day Out surviving against all odds, they are both just that amazing Also, I love seeing the start of the giggle fit laid out like this, thank you!

This goes to show something I saw a while back. If the party takes the characters too seriously, things go down hill and it becomes almost unworkably comical, no one cares about the characters. But if the group keeps it light like this, the characters mean more to them; the loss of a character becomes devastating.
"Loopy" is basically a mood where you're super tired or sleep-deprived but you're still awake, so you start to get really silly because your brain isn't at 100% so everything is funny.
It's like when you and your friends are up at 2am in your room and someone says something that would not be funny in normal context but is absolutely hilarious at 2am when nobody's slept for 24hours, it's one of the best feelings in the world when sharing it with close friends but one of the worst when you're alone
