Thanks a lot for your great video. Question : can you record a meeting on Teams while having people in a meeting room separately and other people connected on their laptops ?
Ive looked everywhere for a work meeting I recorded with transcription. I only have the transcription available to download but not the video. Not sure what to do...
In your OneDrive, do you have a Recordings Folder? drive.google.com/file/d/1kTKBhk4FFpk60NI8Ur1En_BpFQCx9hZ2/view?usp=drivesdk That is where your recordings are stored. In the past, recordings were store in Microsoft Stream, but OneDrive is the new location. Also, was the meeting a Teams Channel meeting?
How can I either trim or delete a video recorded on my work Teams account? I thought I stopped the recording but I didn't. And now there is an extra hour of non relevant information I need to either trim off or get rid of. Thanks!!!
Nice video. I could not find the 'Recordings' folder in One Drive - does it get created only when I performed a recording? OR has it been replaced with 'Microsoft Teams Chat Files' folder? I am using Office 365.
Hi Chris, thanks for your video. I understand from this that attendee would be able to view/listen to the recording - may i know if we can limit the recording's view access to only organiser and presenter, or organiser only?
If other people can attend or are invited, they will be able to view it. The only way I can think of keeping others from viewing it is if the organizer does the recording and then goes into his/her OneDrive and turns off the sharing. I need to check this, but in theory, it should work.
@@ChrisMenardTraining Hi Chris, this option does work. Is there anyway within the O365 platform to stop this video being viewed in the after chat at all now?
I would download the recording and put it in SharePoint or in Microsoft Steam. Microsoft Steam is a video-sharing platform that only your company can see.
Can't be done _unless_ the owner moves the recording to a SharePoint folder or a Teams Channel folder or even a network drive. Basically, the owner needs to download the MP4 and then upload it somewhere that can be shared.

Hi Chris! Thank you for sharing this video. Do you know if there is a way to set up a "static" link for a teams meeting?
LOL....I have been asking for this for 7 years now without any luck. I'll keep asking.

You can use Microsoft Stream (Classic view). It will allow you to Trim your videos. You may need to upload your MP4 file to Stream first.
Thank you
You're welcome

I hate team for making this such a complicated when you simply ant to retrieve recordings.
how can I find old recording, if I do not remember the chat place, did teams delete the old chats, as I could not find my recording
Hi, i have are recording that will not open for everyone in the organization. How can I share it?

can my teacher know if i download a video ,recorded video from teams .will he know that
You can only download if you recorded the meeting or if you are the meeting organizer. If you are the organizer, your teacher would not know.
Hi can I know how can I recover recordings being deleted in One Drive.
Open onedrive in the web. There is a *recycle bin for onedrive* . The default before the OD recycle bin is deleted is 93 days.
i don't find the files
