Hi, I really thank you for the performance and the good will of making this video. It's been much helpful. I may also say that I think that in 4:05 is F# not F. I wanted to say this just because this video was made for didactic porpuses. If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry. Again, I'm so greatful that you make this videos.
Hello! Thank you SO MUCH for your note. I double checked - you are right, I should play F#. I wish I could somehow correct it in this video. I apologize to everyone for this mistake. At least I played F# in the slow version. I will pin your comment so others can see it right away.
@@Cellopedia Thank you so much for your response! I believe that you can add some kind of note, like a paper post it, in that particular place. Once again, thank you for these videos. They are amazing!
I really love on this piece the color of B, fourth position finger 3 on the second string, instead of finger 1 first position first string. The thing is, i as a cellist (And i think other cellists as well) actually found that B to be useful a couple years after playing the sonata....
I am learning this piece now. Your preformance helps me to find the right positions. May I ask which brand of strings are on your cello? Your sound is marvellous - very warm. I use Jargar strings now, have a good bow and play on an old restored cello. Please tell me which type of strings you have here. Thx.
Hi Ivan, I use A and D Larsen Soloist medium. G an C are Thomastik Spirocore Tungsten. I like A and D Jargar Superior and sometimes use them too. Thank you for kind words.
Thank you for a suggestion. It might take a while since there is a long list of music I promised to record for my www.patreon.com/cellopedia supporters. Reply ·

I’m reading this comments seeing that 8 year olds are playing this… I feel so behind just now learning it… (I’m a teen)
No worries. It does not matter as much when you learn it, it is more important HOW you learn it.

When will there be a video of Sonata Op 38 no 2 - the allegro part ?
GOOD!!
Masterfully, thank you Maxim :-)

Nice tempo!
Thank you. Your videos are very helpful. If possible, could you print the metronome speed.
Hello, thank you for a suggestion. The faster version is quarter note 100, the slow version is 56.

Also important: which bow do you use here?
It is French 19th century bow of unknown maker.
I am waiting for the Sonata in G major op 38 no 2 Allegro .
