Good evening sir ! When I hear astronomy, I must comment something. I love astronomy more than fragrances !!! Because Cosmos is the only thing that is, or ever was, or ever will be. Neil De Grasse Tyson is my today's astrophysics guru, but my first idol in astronomy is his mentor, Carl Sagan. Carl Sagan was an amazing example of Homo Sapiens Sapiens. His short video on you tube "Pale Blue Dot" is the best thing that you will ever watch and hear ( right next to Schiller's An Die Freude / Ode to Joy, and Beethoven's 9th Symphony ). Yes, Ganymede is the biggest Jupiter's moon ( and the biggest satellite in our Solar system ), but it's also a boy from Greek mythology, the son of Tros, and so beautiful mortal that even Zeus fell in love with him. The name Ganymede means "Joy in maturity". Back to fragrances. I still haven't tried that one, but I've heard some good opinions about it. Even my Scent Of The Night has a star in his name - Sundowner. I saw your review of that fragrance with opened Roja's white boxes in it. It's very, very beatiful. Now with that black box of Parfum De La Nuit 3 it would be even more beautiful if you keep them open. I visited Musee du Louvre 10 years ago, during my Eurotrip, and I saw there a great picture of Girodet - Dream of Endymion. That moment in the picture, when the boy remove the part of the bush, to allow the Sun beam to show the beauty of Endymion, has the same aesthetic element as your fragrance shelfs if you keep open that 3 Roja's boxes. Ganymede blew me away, never smelled anything like this before. Huge success for the house and really love and enjoy wearing it. Agree about Hermès’ attempt with H24 to achieve what MAB did with Ganymede.
I know Ganymede is a hard to describe scent, with it's ethereal nature, but kudos on trying to put your thoughts into words here, this is a solid impression of an important modern perfume.

had to come back to this one. For me this is arguably the best release of the past decade. Closest description I could come up with is dipping a taco in a salt water river with melting flowers on the shore 💀 Hard to compare to older things, Hermes DNA is there (some say Terre, but I don't get that), I get some Fahrenheit and some Reflection Man
probably your best metaphoric description of a scent...i have this scent...it does lead one to many interpretations...kudos to the perfumer for creating this dialogue. i got this cold metallic and synthetic feel of the inside a space ship.
It it very strange... and while I appreciate it for being mass appealing without being blue or sweet... i wouldnt buy a full bottle... i think I would buy a bottle of Terre d'Hermes b4 Ganymede

Absolutely adore Ganymede but it took me a while to appreciate it. For me it still the best release from the house and the best release since 2019. It's interesting to hear the different images that a scent can conjure in different people. For me I always get scenes from the film Fantastic Planet when I wear it. I also bought Encelade and this one is even harder to love. It smells like you are wearing volcanic ash with green vines.
Hello from Romania, I love your content. Ganymede has the same synthetic note which I found in PDM Galloway. You can never put Ganymede in the same category as Aventus. By the way, the last batch of Aventus I bought, 21N01, smells surprisingly good, and lasts over 12 hours. It seems that Aventus is not dead yet.
The new Kenzo Homme EDP (by Bisch) is that more mainstream, mass appeal fragrance that you allude to being one day launched off of Ganymede by Chanel and/or others. You wouldn’t like it - it leans heavily blue/marine. I happen to enjoy it and Ganymede. I think some of your criticisms digressed into left field, but some were on point. There is definitely a Terre d’Hermes feel to it. And if you’ve smelled multiple Bisch creations, you can see a recurring DNA or ideology in his fragrances that is fully realized in Ganymede. All in all, I appreciated your review. Thanks!

Dear 🐏 What an amazing video. Loved how you connected the dots TdH EDT, Sartorial and H24. In fact when H24 EDT came out I immediatly thought of Ganymede. On the other side of the coin I love these 3 fragrances, Ganymede being in my top10 XXI century list. Very creative, abstract, contrasting light with darkness, very pure cirurgical grade steel. In my opinion, in 15 years these bottles will reach cult status if the post-blue trend becomes a reality. Please get a sniff of Encelade one day... RM5 = Rosendo Mateo 5?

I think you did an excellent job at conveying what this one is about. My initial "transportation" was to the ventilation system to some future spaceship; as it was utterly out of this world, foreign, and for lack of a better word, a sterile (or "Vast") conveyance. As I think you eluded to, later is more reminiscent of the moon itself. For me, after 7-12 wearings, I'm half fixin' to dump my bottle. Am holding out for it to suit me better come this winter, here above 4200 feet - and among the Salt Flats.. - a biting dry winter might wear as I'm now wanting him to. As he's fallen flat in hotter temps - where he's been touted to excel in. Great video, great times, Ramsey🙏✌🖖
Did not know that immortelle was the Curry plant!! I have that growing next to my driveway and I stop and smell it all the time. Such a strange and compelling scent. I'm enjoying breaking out my samples to smell along with you as you review the perfumes, Ganymede is interesting and well made but I don't see myself wearing very often.

RM5? Rosendo Mateu No5: floral, amber, sensuous musk... mayhaps? B683 is a great leather scent you should get a sample/decant as I think you might enjoy it. I adore everything I have smelled from MAB (which is everything they have released; but Ganymede extrait!) and have some of each in samples and decants as a FB is something (at least at the moment) that is a bit too pricey for me.
Rosendu Mateu 5 for sure! Oh few already got that right! 😀....Really like Ganymede! Such an unique composition, though not that natural smelling! Performance is monstrous! Another great video Ramsey! Love your channel!

Great video mate, have you tried bois imperial by essential parfums it's another quinton bisch frag and smells very similar more fresher,I have ganymede and absolutely love it also just ordered a bottle of bois imperial which is also great,keep up the great work mate 👍🏼

I have a decant of this and I keep going from hating it to liking it and back. Sometimes it smells like chlorine and caster oil. Other times it smells a bit invigorating. Haven't been brave enough to wear this in public though.
No one can really describe it. Guess I might try it down the line. That PDLN 3 keep teasing me. I wants to get it . Ended up gettin Diaghilev instead . Still need to give it wearings

I bought a bottle of Ganymede after a sample. I find that I don’t wear it much, at least yet. I wonder if this fragrance will age well though. Maybe. I’m laughing because I bought this thinking it’s a leather, maybe I can check that box and this can be my leather fragrance. I don’t think this can suffice as my leather fragrance example.

I really enjoyed Ganymede.....right up to the point when I smelled Sauvage Elixir on a colleague...too similar to me. B683 extrait I do really like. Your Femme extrait, give it time. It doesn't show it's beauty first time round. Amazing value atm as are most Rochas. Original Lumiere and Byzance are gorgeous too. Great haul....yet again! Seems like it's haul season!

Ganymede is a perfume, oddly that I am starting to like less and less 🤔 I have never had such an experience. The safrom, metallic, mineral thing is starting to turn my stomach. Although, it really smells like the fresh immortelle flower and the mandarin note makes sense since immortelle flower smells like a green anisic mandarin smell. Immortelle absolute, of which I struggle to detect in this, is more like burnt caramel, anise, and curry-ish. I love Parfums de la nuit 3, I have the 7.5ml tester, I won't splash on a full bottle as the price is tooooooooooo steep for me to justify. I'm happy with the small amount I have. A more economical alternative is Aesthete by Le Galion, which in its own right is a beautiful perfume.
Never heard of Aesthete 😱 I am not a fan of Ganymede other than i like that Quinton created something that isnt Blue & isnt sweet... but I would never buy a full bottle. Do you get the slight nod to Eau d'Hermes in PDLN 3 Mr 🌹?
@@RamseytheRam EAU D'Hermes!? 🤔 Honestly I would need to try it again. I remember the one Roja that I found had an EAU D'Hermes vibe in the opening was Fetish pour homme parfum. But with a big Labdanum note. Perhaps Ganymede will have the opposite effect on you, and you will grow to love it🤷🏻♂️😂 It is a well made perfume and more original than most of the intentionally crowd pleasing dross out there that just copy and clone, copy and clone.... You should try Le Galion. I am loving the brand lately. I have tried Sortilege (aldehydic animalic floral, not far from Chanel no. 5), special for gentlemen (Jicky and Shalimars love child), Cuir (Bel Amis Elemi cousin), La rose (beautifully balanced rose), whip (EAU Sauvage but better IMHO), and finally aesthete (parfum de la nuit 3 but affordable/though not in any way smelling cheap, actually really really nice). Yeah, I think you will like them. My SOTD was special for gentlemen. Beautiful

I try some of his perfumes , and Ganymede is of them that I don’t like too much and I prefer B683 extrait on this one ☝️ B683 extrait on my opinion is very creative and unique artistic act , it so deep dirty anamalic oudy leathery metallic freshy resinous it is just like those great fragrances that I feel them full of life and can talks to me Obviously he had unique skills and touches that makes him different . I think if had the opportunity and resources to act independent of the designer house requests he will make great fragrances
Hi Ram! Tim & I just happened to buy a small 30 ml bottle of Ganymede this past week! We are (right now) sniffing along with the video! Totally get that first blush of “modern Eau de Hermes” - that dry, spiced, orange peel. Agree with you that this fragrance is such a GREAT intellectual journey. It’s well-made, interesting, and space-age/futuristic. Love your thoughts! Great comparison to Terre. Have you tried B863 or Encelade? ps - yep, very tech bro! Sanitized, yep

I really enjoyed Ganymede.....right up to the point when I smelled Sauvage Elixir on a colleague...too similar to me. B683 extrait I do really like. Your Femme extrait, give it time. It doesn't show it's beauty first time round. Amazing value atm as are most Rochas. Original Lumiere and Byzance are gorgeous too.

Ganymede is a perfume, oddly that I am starting to like less and less 🤔 I have never had such an experience. The safrom, metallic, mineral thing is starting to turn my stomach. Although, it really smells like the fresh immortelle flower and the mandarin note makes sense since immortelle flower smells like a green anisic mandarin smell. Immortelle absolute, of which I struggle to detect in this, is more like burnt caramel, anise, and curry-ish.
I love Parfums de la nuit 3, I have the 7.5ml tester, I won't splash on a full bottle as the price is tooooooooooo steep for me to justify. I'm happy with the small amount I have. A more economical alternative is Aesthete by Le Galion, which in its own right is a beautiful perfume.

Perhaps Ganymede will have the opposite effect on you, and you will grow to love it🤷🏻♂️😂 It is a well made perfume and more original than most of the intentionally crowd pleasing dross out there that just copy and clone, copy and clone....
You should try Le Galion. I am loving the brand lately. I have tried Sortilege (aldehydic animalic floral, not far from Chanel no. 5), special for gentlemen (Jicky and Shalimars love child), Cuir (Bel Amis Elemi cousin), La rose (beautifully balanced rose), whip (EAU Sauvage but better IMHO), and finally aesthete (parfum de la nuit 3 but affordable/though not in any way smelling cheap, actually really really nice).

I try some of his perfumes , and Ganymede is of them that I don’t like too much and I prefer B683 extrait on this one ☝️ B683 extrait on my opinion is very creative and unique artistic act , it so deep dirty anamalic oudy leathery metallic freshy resinous it is just like those great fragrances that I feel them full of life and can talks to me
Obviously he had unique skills and touches that makes him different . I think if had the opportunity and resources to act independent of the designer house requests he will make great fragrances
Hi Ram! Tim & I just happened to buy a small 30 ml bottle of Ganymede this past week! We are (right now) sniffing along with the video! Totally get that first blush of “modern Eau de Hermes” - that dry, spiced, orange peel. Agree with you that this fragrance is such a GREAT intellectual journey. It’s well-made, interesting, and space-age/futuristic. Love your thoughts! Great comparison to Terre. Have you tried B863 or Encelade?

I might be in the minority that dislikes Ganymede. I bought a decant and I just couldn't get past that sharp metallic note no matter how many times i went back to it
