how many passangers can be fit in one Didi car if you use discount express or express service? Because I travel with kids and elderly so we think we can't split and ride different Didi car.

Hey, you can link your foreign credit card to Alipay. How that works is always changing. Try to find most recent article about it via Google. And definitely do it before arriving, so you're sure it worked

It's basically different price tiers, as cheaper as longer you might have to wait to get a taxi as more you pay as faster you'll get one as well as the cars are higher class.
Does alipay also have translated messages to communicate or only wechat/weixin?
In my current version alipay is in English put ride hailing mini app then is in Chinese. Therefore Didi / wechat is better for people who cannot read Chinese

Thanks for your video. Do you have any issue using the credit card to pay for DiDi via Alipay for your first trip? I read that the first trip requires pre-paid from China Bank account. I register my Alipay with my country number. Can I know if we need China phone number for using Didi via Alipay?
It is not necessary to have a Chinese bank account or a Chinese phone number to use Didi via Alipay. But you are right, with foreign credit cards (not Chinese ones) you need to prepay every trip.
The taxi driver will need to confirm by asking us about the last 4 digit phone number. The last 4 digit number mean our own country phone number right, if made booking by Alipay?

Taking normal taxi by calling with Didi is little different. You have to verify with your phone number. Didi drivers don't like short distance travelling. With short distance travel, you are expected leave the car quickly even before paying. You should complete paying just after taking off while the driver can see you.
Mhhh in my many years here in China I've never had a didi driver rushing me to get out. But well I've my bank card connected to the apps and it automatically deducts the money, every time the ride is completed. Therefore as soon the we areived I get off anyways. If sometimes the auto pay didn't go through I see it a day or wo later and I've to pay the last raid before can order a new one..so the driver gets his money a day later and it was never ever an issue. Keep it simple ☺️
@@OlisBigPictureI had several issues with Didi drivers during my two week trip around New Years Day of this year. Didi driver in Hefei told me to leave the car three times. Another driver in Suzhou also seamed to appreciate me as I left the car quickly, he pulled over his car before I completed paying. Driver in Qufu refused me when I was going to neighbouring city saying he would be fined. Another driver in Bengbu refused to go when I was going to Hefei with 2 hour driving, saying impossible to make money while returning.
Hi oli ich bin im mai in China für 10 Tage und wollte mal fragen bezüglich der Telefonnummer. Ich hab nun mein Alipay eingerichtet und mich auch verifiziert und meine Kreditkarten hinterlegt. Als Telefonnummer hab ich meine deutsche Nummer hinterlegt und ich plane eine esim über holyfly zu holen nur für Datenvolumen ohne chinesische Nummer. Kann ich dann trotzdem Didi über Alipay nutzen wird dem Fahrer dann meine deutsche Nummer angezeigt oder geht das nicht?

Wenn man einmal bei Alipay verifiziert ist, braucht man die Telefonnummer nicht mehr zur Verwendung der App. Es ist nur wichtig sich den 6stelligen Code zu merken, den man am Anfang selbst festlegt. Man muss diesen Code regelmäßig zur zahlungsbestätigung eingeben. Wenn man den vergisst, braucht man die Telefonnummer zur Wiederherstellung per sms. Sonst nicht.

How you pay? Using alipay QR code?
In official taxis you can pay in cash or use alipay/wechat pay they'll provide a code to scan. Non taxis, private kinda like uber drives you pay in the app with your linked card
It is better to pay with QR code when the small price range. Pay with card or cash with high price range.
