I try to be mindful, but never thought to pack my lunchbox flatware in my suitcase! 👍 We are headed to Oahu in Feb. The quick dry towel, that supports wildlife, is an excellent idea too. My must have 4 Hawaii is my surf board!!! One of my besties lives in Hawaii, we surf together!!! I’ve used a go pro for years. It’s awesome for surf pics and videos. My m8 was talking bout the reefs recently and I’d totally 4got that the reefs in Hawaii aren’t nice. I love my rash guards. I buy them form surf shops. In Australia the reefs are bleached and no1 knos y and I’m sure it’s a cover up. To clean snorkel masks u have to use ur spit. I have no issues wiv plastic cutlery. I don’t mind metal straws. I use reusable straws as I can’t do wiv paper straws. I’ve heard that the plastic that is binned isn’t affecting the ocean, it’s way ppl leave on the beach. We go to Oahu. I will take a jacket to Australia but not a coat. I bought my 1st pair of water sandals bout 15 years ago to surf as I have feet issues. I buy them form surf shops. I never had travel sickness but wen I was a kid I got sick on a boat but it may have been self inflicted.

The stomach is an internal organ so stomach down makes no sense ... That utensil set is not small or portable... why not take a set of your own cutlery?? LOL! Winter coat and winter clothing is an awful idea ... how big is your luggage?
After doing a ton of research for years, as well as having locals as close friends, this is what I came up with. It’s not an end all be all, but any guidance helps people. Winter clothing is absolutely needed if you’re doing the sunrise at Haleakala…it’s below freezing and windy.
In my research, a lot of people don’t think to pack quick drying towels, or even know they exist. They also don’t think to look what type of sunscreen they are using. So maybe they are weird to me…but I hope it’s helpful regardless! ❤️

I don’t like making a lot of trash in general, so I always travel with reusable silverware and straws!
