I remember seeing him at Country thunder back in like 2006, back in the "Two Pink Lines" days. He played on a side stage in the middle of the day and very few people where watching. Loved him then and love him now. ☺️☺️

Actually, this song's purple background isn't really that deep, it's from the & EP. Back when he released _Heart_ and _Soul,_ what he actually did was release Heart _&_ Soul, with a 6-song EP smack dab in the middle of it all, exclusive to his paid fanclub, fittingly called the Church Choir. Unfortunately, only this song and Doing Life With Me have ever been released publicly, which means there are four other tracks unavailable to the public that are some of the best songs Eric's ever written, Period.

My heart just broke. I just found out that one of my best friends (Steve) from the Marine Corps died last week. He was one of the best friends I've ever had. Him, me and 3 others all lived together in a big house in NC where we were stationed. We all drove around on our motorcycles thinking we were bad asses until our room mate Jim was killed. I haven't heard from him in forever but this one really hurts. I've been a fan of his since the start and I will go back and listen to songs I didn't think much of then, but realize how good they are. I don't have any I particularly dislike. I can't say that about any other artist, and it feels like all the songs are different. Nothing sounds 'samey' really.
Agree. The Joint is one of my least favorites and yet it has its own charm as a good song. On a 12 hour drive I went straight through from Before She Does to Drowning man. It ain't up a good portion of the trip. Strongly recommend.

Actually, this song's purple background isn't really that deep, it's from the & EP. Back when he released _Heart_ and _Soul,_ what he actually did was release Heart _&_ Soul, with a 6-song EP smack dab in the middle of it all, exclusive to his paid fanclub, fittingly called the Church Choir.
Unfortunately, only this song and Doing Life With Me have ever been released publicly, which means there are four other tracks unavailable to the public that are some of the best songs Eric's ever written, Period.

I haven't heard from him in forever but this one really hurts. I miss concerts, but I REALLY miss Eric's concerts the most. Heck, they're not really concerts, they're more like religious experiences. Watching some great, talented friends working their asses off on stage and playing songs written for each and every one of us for three hours.

I work in communications (911 operations) and we watched a documentary on the events of the Route 91 Harvest fest...i asked if anyone has heard this song and half the room said they loved it. I shared with them that this song was about that and the room was silent...powerful.

I've been a fan of his since the start and I will go back and listen to songs I didn't think much of then, but realize how good they are. I don't have any I particularly dislike. I can't say that about any other artist, and it feels like all the songs are different. Nothing sounds 'samey' really.

On a 12 hour drive I went straight through from Before She Does to Drowning man. It ain't up a good portion of the trip. Strongly recommend.
