Save you some time: From ‘Off’, hold the Power button as it cycles through the two units of measurement. Let go of the Power button when it is on the unit you would like to use.

Same with the similar model with no power button. Except, turn the thermometer off (by holding the only button) then hold the button again until the Fahrenheit option comes up.:)
