    Was getting an inspection done today and they wanted to charge me $400-500 to get this done. This will be my weekend project with a beer in one hand, a wrench in another, and some tunes in the background. Thank you for sharing.

    Great video, to the point but no loctite blue on all the assembly bolts wears me out. Safety bro but everything else was fantastic. Oh wait, no nut on the tie rod when you were whacking those threads. Ok I’m done . Great job!!!👍🏻🔥👍🏻

    • @RatchetRiceRockets
      @RatchetRiceRockets  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your concerns about the bolts coming loose due to no loctite being applied on the threads but nothing of that nature has happened to neither of the bolts thank you for watching

    you should use a new axle nut every time you take it off from all the research ive done just because the torque that it is under i just ordered some about 5-10 $ a peice better safe than sorry but to each his own

    So how do you know you need a new bearing?

    • @twistnthrottle8993
      @twistnthrottle8993 Год назад +2

      Lift up the side you want to inspect. One indicator is you'll see the bottom of the tire flop in or outward. Normally inward. Anyway got to the outside of the tire and grab your 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position and take your upper hand and pushing inwardly as you simultaneously pull the bottom of the tire outwardly. Visa versa. Any play pushing and pulling is your wheel bearing. This is a universal method on any automobile.

      What if that doesn't happen? We lifted ours and rotated the wheel. Sounded like it was whistling@@twistnthrottle8993

    I can't stand watching people have their legs under the axel with no jackstand. Makes me cringe, so not worth losing a leg over if the jack fails.
