15:07 Thanks John for this commentary. For beginners like me it's important to understand what muscles are important for what moves etc. Might be obvious for most, yes, but having you throwing details like this from time to time is cool.
@@nathanielalaburgDelhi I love John, undoubtedly the greatest powerlifter of all time in my eyes, but you might be smoking crack if you think those numbers are achievable at his competitive bodyweight
It seems like you keep your training pretty straightforward and simple compared to some of the other powerlifters I've watched. For example I don't think I've ever seen you use chains on bench. Or any of the other variations like that. Have you tried that stuff? What do you think about those sorts of things.
Do you always bench with that relatively narrow, tip-toe kind of foot and leg position? Very similar to how I bench. So many top benchers are all about the wide and flat feet, and I spent a while attempting but it never felt right and costs me power. I feel vindicated seeing you do this haha.
I get regular deep tissue work done. I try for every 3-4 weeks during a peak. That, along with nutrition and sleep are the major things I do for recovery
2300 is the main goal. I want the squat record at 198, to say I have all the single lift records along with the total. If everything keeps moving like it is, I may try and reach a bit above 2300.
Just out of curiosity: I've noticed you use the word "we" to talk about who is hitting your lifts as opposed to "I." An example is "we're about to do our top set." Are you referring to a coach or a training partner?
@@noelle-marie just referring to myself and the voices in my head. I’m joking. I coach myself, but I feel a bit awkward talking about myself sometimes. Using “we” feels a little easier.
It's not even worth it to post my deadlift numbers anymore because they are bigger than what anyone can conceive. I'd use the weight you used on this very slow deadlift to maybe warm up my rotator cuffs.
if john is going to pull a 1000lbs one day im going back to finish my chemistry degree
sounds like hes got a job to do
Better file your fafsa 😂
He inevitably will, especially if he ever decides to go to strongman. John with no diet restrictions and more PEDs is probably a world record.
You can thesis his stack
Annoying when people make things about themselves

I’m trying to throw a little bit more tid bits of information into the videos
Can we appreciate how high quality the production of these videos are! Let alone the lifting! Amazing.
Thats what you call a real grind rep on that deadlift!
Bro John, you motivate me to push for my limits, I know I'll never be as strong as you but your videos make be feel motivated. thank you
What's scary is no one has seen John's final form!
Mine either
Hes my only competition
I can see him getting a 470kg deadlift sometime soon and probably a 700lb bench with a 940lb squat
Nobody knows, he has a AI system inside himself that will create his final form
He's just perfecting the prompt
@@nathanielalaburgDelhiI don’t know about those numbers. They might be endgame goals

3:02 Bro deadlifts so heavy it shakes the walls
I never knew you had a channel, the one time my recommended videos come in clutch!
Insane to see these numbers so far out from the meet i cannot wait to see the next few weeks
Insane grip strength in that 410 kg deadlift grind man
1k will be a special day. Been quite a journey
Nice Pull dude you were not letting that go 🦾🔥
Great video Pal 👏🏻
Love and respect your journey so far❤
Fucking insane how a person with the highest peak in powerlifting is still improving at an alarming rate

He hit us with the 'this this'
Stay hard!
How old is Haack? Wow you're 31. 3 years younger then me. Amazing strength and work ethic.
"The Gang Crosses a Milestone."
John what accessories do you do for legs ?
Do you get muscle imbalances using the same mixed grip all the time? If I used mixed grip, I switch between sets.
On bench do you let your core support some weight on the pause or do you just spoto the weight?
Can you do a video on what you eat in a day?
If you put some weight on you think you could pull the record?
how heavy are you now? You look even more jacked than usual. how the hell can you get down to 90kg??
What are the benefits of using wrist wraps for DLs?
Is that a Ohio deadlift 0:12 0:16 bar? That 903 was Freakin Unbelievable! And if not what kind of deadlift bar do you use and why?
What’s his favorite deadlift assistance exercises…. Seems to be working well lol
What kind of bar is that?
Nice grind @2:56.
Kabuki deadlift bar

11 weeks out 410 kgs (903) DAMM!!
Do you make rep or poundage changes for your top sets based on how you feel that day? Or do you stick to the plan and just kinda see what happens?
whats the adv of using wrist wraps but no straps?
Hey John, I was wondering what you do for recovery. Do you get massages/physical therapy/dry needling/other occasionaly to stay healthy? Keep it up!
I get regular deep tissue work done. I try for every 3-4 weeks during a peak. That, along with nutrition and sleep are the major things I do for recovery
Trying any new approach with the weight cut this meet or are you staying leaner heading in?
Gonna try out a sauna cap and painters suit to see how that goes
Does anyone else think John kinda looks like Eric Spoto? I swear, if he gained 200 lbs, they'd practically be twins.
John, where do you buy your training pants?
These ones are from Iron Rebel. They are the IR tech joggers. Probably my new favorite training pants
I wonder what his liver enzyme level looks like?
Move up a weightclass, don't cut, I want to see what's possible
Who is John Haack's coach?
God!
are there any new goals for the 3 lifts or just go for 2300 total?
2300 is the main goal. I want the squat record at 198, to say I have all the single lift records along with the total. If everything keeps moving like it is, I may try and reach a bit above 2300.
There was no hitch with that 903

Every time I have a squat day, I’m sore for my next deadlift day. Any tips?
Put more rest days between the two

Cool
So would he have pulled 800 natty at 180!? Fucking insane
765 was my best pull in the gym natty. So I think it would have been possible
Yeah honestly it's crazy
Looks like a bodybuilder but does 3 exercises
220 record will fall again :)
Not funny

Love your videos and am gonna copy the style cuz its so sikk.. is that coo?! lol
Yes that’s totally cool
Pre workout in whey protein why ?
It’s an easy way to get some extra protein into the diet. The Clear Whey is more of a fruity protein powder that mixes well with preworkout.
Respect to this dude for not doing sumo. 🫡
