Part man, part mixing board. Amazing to see the incredible skills so honed. One of my best life moments was going up to the balcony at an On-U Sound System gig at University of London Union and finding that Adrian Sherwood was up there working the desk while Mark Stewart stood next to him toasting on the mic (with the crowd down on the main floor not realizing).
Thanks Adrian, you're an inspiration. Very generous of you to share your knowledge in this way. I'ved loved your music from the release of Echomania. The recent record with another favrouite musician, Sonic Boom, is magical x
I just bought the AEON based partly on this video... THANK YOU ADRIAN!! For everything, not just the speaker advice, but they really are worth the HYPE :D
Be nice to know what one the Soundcraft console is. It's the only reason I came here and it's the only thing that wasn't mentioned! Lots of nice outboard, but can't forget the desk!
Hi Orgon, Part 2 can be found on the Soulsound website here: www.soulsound.co.uk/day-adrian-sherwood-u-studios-part-2. Damn that snare was too high in the mix.
Hey dad, make me a backing track.
He doesn't even produce the tracks himself. Sherwood admits that he's tone-deaf and can't play any instruments. He's just a mixer.

Does he have a hearing aid?
No. It's a headset mic. You can see the mic stalk coming round next to his left cheek.
