This actually really awesome. 1- it’s not focused on the personality of the human drummer. There aren’t any quips, jokes, interruptions, or goofy faces. 2- the drumming is good. 3- the choices of styles to be lampooned were well chosen and diverse. 4- the drumming is really good. 5- the captions made me recall any numbers of drummers I’ve actually watched perform solos, so it’s funny cuz it’s true. 6- the drumming is reallllllly good. 7- thank for spoofing Bonham. I feel like he’s unassailable, despite me being consistently whelmed by him. Bravo.
I wanted to write a comment, but you have already written everything I intended. And yes, I agree, it was played very well. I'm especially glad to see someone playing hi-end drums that match his skills. I know I sound jealous, but it really annoys me when I see a bad drummer playing a flashy kit.

I knew the Neil Peart floating snare would be in here. His solos are so iconic, usually the same thing every tour but slightly different, and it's a staple on Rush tours.
Amir Hidayatullah also from the fact that that is a $1500 snare. But yeah thanks for the generic answer. You can also enhance a well tuned snare with post processing so, yeah.
LMAO! Dude I used to be one of those. But how about the solo with absolutely no bass drum involved. Or the right hand dependent solo where every cymbal hit is with the right hand. Keep up the good work.
Kyrballe I was half-kidding. I like Portnoy, don't get me wrong, but I've always found him to be a weaker soloist compared to other prog metal drummers. So ignore me lol
Funny as hell! Joking aside, this video exactly tells people how difficult it is for drummers to accomplish being musical. Drummers like Dave Weckl and Vinnie Colaiuta are truly the gems in our time.
i don't hate neil peart at all. i hate the fact that lots of drummers' solos begin in that way (random rolls on toms with 4/4 bass drum), i just find it annoying.
So I guess you don't appreciate groove... it's not random stuff, it's a meaningful lick that takes you on a ride through the NY streets during rush hour. I will say he was missing some elements but if you can't hear it your opinion doesn't really hold in the drum world...

The Time Changer
*oh hey Lars*
Lars Ulrich is the only drummer who can play every tempo at once
ghost_type_gaming, Tomas Haake does that as well, except far better.
Lol yes
14. *its not Neil unless you have 10+ toms and 100+ cymbols with a electric set behind you, and also the entire set spins*
NOVOICE
The most acoustic toms (not including elecotnroic toms) Neil has had is 10
And Neil has like 20 cymbals
Need some triggers at least!!! :)
Lmao!
Interesting. Combining Cymbals and symbols?
And still sound like sh1t.
Dissapointed by the prog metal. It wasn't even in 17/23 gosh not prog at all

17/23 exists.
Just divide your bar into 23rd-uplets, and take away 6 so you have 17. Easy

Nope, but theoretically its usable

Well I know what I'm writing my next song in
Okay, that jazz fill was low key buttery
What does buttery mean?
Volt Sheep smooooothhh
High key buttery
Smooth dynamics
The fill was but the beat was absolutely fucking horrible 😭
Groove machine and smooth Yazzer are actually pretty nice, like, i would appriciate a solo like this.
"This is the part where I take my shirt off"
I like this type of solo, the time signature is very well done and the use of toms are genius
14 one can not hope to do the niel peart while your number of toms is still in single digits
Thatoneguy indeed they can't
Not even wrong 😂
he did it with 3 at the buddy rich tribute tho

The micing on the drums was killer...Loved the bonzo homage too...You have some sweet chops and great left hand for a matched grip...
Are you really trying to insinuate that matched grip is infirior in any way?
Mads Sanden I believe it’s because most matched users who don’t study with a teacher often have a horrible left hand but i play matched

can we just appreciate how well you played the John Bonham!

This is my second one and I love them! I'll be sick of them by tomorrow though.
Boring for sure
Guitar Center solo is WAY too clean. I hate the drum dept...

The Carl Palmer - A seven minute drum solo in which you show off how fast you can drum

That John Bonham was PERFECT tho 👌
I was waiting the Neil Part... Nice video !
Hahahaha the John Bonham is so accurate

Love the toms.... MEATY
Fancy seein you here!
Lance I always see you deep in the depths of RUclips, I'll be watching a cymbal demonstration with 700 views and you will be there in the comments!
The Bonham earned my respect👌🏻
Drumming was stellar but I’ve gotta say the mixing was also top-tier! Well done sir!
He has a tattoo of John Bonham's Symbol.
That kit sound phenomenal!
I wpuld be the Guitar Center one cause I know jack shit about drumming.
I get it Cole. There's a kernel of truth to it all. And the drumming is damn good and slick. Good chops.
That Neil Solo needs at least 115% more drums
That would only be somewhere between four and five more total drums, you’d need at least 25 more to match a Neil kit
Big points for the 3 count with the feet on the 'Peart' section!
Authenticity!
THE GUITAR CENTER LMAOOO
