Reggae Smooth Jive is alive and well in the Virgin Islands by this talented group. Tenor and alto saxophones brought the tune to new life again with their cool melodic solos. The hors d'oeuvres provided by the vibist plausibly interrupts the rhythmic and melodic flow which has become repetitively and monotonically stagnant - although still groovy, cool and pleasing. Now, let's be mindful and respectful that that's the cornerstone of Jamaican Reggae. Of course, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand, Johnny Nash, Patti Austin, amongst other American and British artists, have managed to add rhythmic, melodic and harmonic variations and embellishments to such Reggae songs, thus cushioning or breaking the repetitive monotony all together. This has been a great performance in the very kernel and core of Jamaican Reggae Jive. Thanks for posting!
This is an epic song and the rendition is flawless. The epitome is the opening 10 secs of the tenor sax just gives me goosebumps and lifts my spirits. Amen to these fellas
