Visited one of the biggest Food Festival of Namma Bengaluru!
Thindipothara Habba is celebrated yearly at Nandi links Hoskerahalli every year.
This year it is happening for three days today ie 11/11/2022 , 12/11/2022 and 13/11/2022.
Entry cost for this festival is 50rs.
It has almost 100 operating counters with so many food counters.
We happen to try the below food counters which appealed us.
1. SSP Refreshments / Muddanna Hotel
One of the oldest eatery for pulav is undoubtly Mudanna hotel. They have a stall in the festival and one can definitely enjoy this piping hot pulav.
2. Khadak Iyengar's
This one is family run business as a cloud kitchen and they take up orders and catering services.
3. Hottepaadu Chats
We tried their unique chat called Butti chat ( Basket Chat ) which is famous.
He is generally located at Nagarbhavi ( available in google map as 'Hottepadu chats'.
4. Bhagyalakshmi Gulkand centre
One of the oldest Gulkand of Namma Bengaluru Established in the year 1950.
We tried their Butter Gulkhand with Ice cream.

Don't understand the reason for entry fee! It's already a promotion for both sponsors and stall owners. I'm sure the price is same or more than their outlets. What's the logic in entry fee??

Suhas frankly speaking rates are very high at stalls and entry fees was not
required. It's just double taxing to customers. Not much of interesting stalls. Muddanna even I had both veg and mushroom, i couldn't find veggies and mushroom in both rice. Rest all stalls were ok ok, nothing great. One thing is sure we are getting taxed for stall as well food items. Organizer has planned intelligently.
where is khadak puliyogre in bangalore shop
The food is already expensive, then why the entry fee?? They should revoke it..

Rates are double than what they charge in their base shops yet we can afford once in a while😀

1. Quality check - not done. Demand was too high, the stalls couldn't cater at the pace and compromised on quality
2. Quantity and Pricing - not proportionate, many of the known brands were present, which charged more but gave less, compared to their actual establishment price to quantity ratio
3. Not much options.
4. A special callout to 2 stalls
a. One sold capsicum bajji at 100
b. One sold girmit and a small dose at 100 each!
Even trivani icecream is famous..

Icecreams and masala dosas have strong connections. Whenever i used to hog icecreams in the rainy seasons, sometimes i used to get bad cough and chest congestion. Then it used to be time for me to visit the doctor. The code word in South India for getting injections and beatings is called masala dosas. She would give me two painful injections on my bums. After getting i used to visit my aunt's place where she used to see me rubbing my bums and tease me that the doc gave me masala dosa on one bum and special rava masala dosa on the other bum. She used to ask me if i want to eat more icecreams in rains again.

Whenever i hear and see the word "kajjaya" i remember it since it was a code word in our student days for getting hot hot whackings from the teachers with their fat canes. After getting beatings nicely from teacher my classmates used to ask me "sumne iru, ma'am indha kajjaya thindhidheeya " or "bisi bisi kajjaya sikthaa" or "kajjya hegithu" or "saaka kajjaya innu bekaa ". I still remember rubbing my bum till I reached home and checking both my bums in the mirror to check for the cane marks and swelling😫😫😫😫

Entry fees plus highly priced & poor quality food. We had been on Sunday evening & the crowd was more so naturally the air inside was suffocating. Lacked proper ventilation. Cleanliness wasn't there. Totally disappointing event

Don't waste your money going to such looters exhibition insted prepare in home and eat in that same cost ur entire family can have food that to 4 days 8 times
