I've been working diligently on the aquarium, too...I'm doing a color complete and I just finished my 3rd one, so hopefully I get done in time for the next drop! When I saw the frame I thought it'd be a quick stitch but it's alot more stitching than it looks 😂...just pluggin away but I had to put my may wipgos on hold for a bit. Well get there tho, right?! That hat u knit for your husband is so cool! I love the colorways u picked! 🪡❤️

You have also made me want to get back into sock knitting because I did the dreaded “knit one sock and stop” thing. 😂 and I kept hearing talk of Stitch North and I never realized how close it is to me. I’m 1.5 hours south of Buffalo…just over the border into Pennsylvania. I’m seriously thinking about going next year!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at the retreat! I’ve been trying to keep up with the frame on the Deadly Aquarium but I’ve had to rip out twice due to counting errors. I am getting used to cross stitch (I have been away from it for quite a few years) and Markup R-XP. I think I’m on track now but I will be catching up for a while. Manning May - I also didn’t want a large piece so I chose Seaside Cottage which is a set of 2 smaller pieces. I was surprised to see that they use Valdani floss which I had not heard of but I ordered it and am waiting for it to arrive so I can start stitching. Love your husband’s hat! I love the yarn for your hat also. Your Taylor Swift sock sets are very cool. You could even switch the mini skeins Between the large skeins to get more contrast for your toes and heels. That's a great idea! The yellow bobble I have stitched is about 30 stitches tall, so if you stitched it on a 14/28 count it'd make a cute little ornament for a real tree/wreath.

It could be that your hesitation on the Modern Folk piece is that you have possibly clashing violet shades. Mauve is in the red violet family, while lavender is in the blue violet family. I like your idea about using Ashes to Ashes for your fabric.

Thanks! 😁 I use Colgate optic white, floss regularly, and drink with a straw (to avoid staining). Nothing special!
